Hi all
Seems like everyone is as frantic as I am.
I know I have just "met" you all but have to have a rant.

I have been most of the night with DS coming into our bed crying on and off. DH and I normally don't mind co-sleeping but it has been every night and he really wiggles and twice I have had to sleep on the sofa to get some rest. Anyhow, bearing this in mind and that I have had a stinky cold DH left me to sort it out ALL NIGHT while he slept away. Of course, then DD woke up and needing soothing too.

And I had to get up to feed and change nappies by 6am. GREAT!!!

Guess his feeling is "he works".
ARGH

Er, I would love to get involved in your secret santa. How do I do.

Better go. I don't have a laptop so means I can't be online all the time (that would be Brilliant tho - would never get ANY work done though).

Hope everyone has a good morning.
Need COFFEE and LOTS

BadZelda · 06/10/2007 09:40

Morning ladies!
DD1 is happily ensconsed on the sofa watching rainbow...the old ones are the best!
I would love to take part in secret santa.

I'm taking the day off today to go meet a friend for a haircut and shopping...at least taking DD2 but that will be almost like being child free as she's so sweet and cheery.

BadZelda · 06/10/2007 09:40

Hi Elsbells - meant to say Hello and nice to meet you!

daisymummy2camranandemmilllly · 06/10/2007 10:11

LOL Elsbells, rant away...if you've lurked on this thread you'll know we're partial to a rant or two, and DH bashing is our favourite sport

Talking of that, DH and I were talking about teeth this morning and he let slip that he had really buck teeth when he was young and needed a brace to fix it, which I didn't know about. DD has his chin and overbite, so I said I hope she doesn't have your buck teeth. He took umbrage at this and retailiated with I hope she has my lean gene and not your fat one .....farking twunt. So things are decidedly frosty in the boo household this morning.

Hi BZ, have a nice day out. I got an upgraded credit card yesterday.....it's burning a hole in my wallet and itching to have it's inaugural spend.

daisymummy2camranandemmilllly · 06/10/2007 10:13

another rant coming. I've made huge dents in the clutter in this house this week, and do i get a "fab job J...well done". do I heck. i get a "why is that there....why isn't this put away" Makes me wonder why I bothered.

riabutterflew · 06/10/2007 10:24

all together now...

ARSE

riabutterflew · 06/10/2007 10:27

sorry about my rant. I was so cross I couldn't sleep then just as I calmed down another tosspot did the same thing.. Think I got to sleep around 2am. I feel very drugged-up today.

Mt ds2 was watching rainbow earlier BZ. enjoy your day.

like your new name daisy.

Jamantha · 06/10/2007 10:29

That sounds typical Daisy. Mind you I can be totally unobservant sometimes. Like when DH has a haircut and beard trim and I don't notice for several hours until he says "would you say that you are an observant person?"

Elsbells · 06/10/2007 11:05

Hi BZ lovely to meet you 2.

Glad I am not the only one who feels to be swimming in chaos. Everyone told me having 2 dc's would be "interesting" but I never knew it would be this challenging.

Sleep deprivation is torture.

Ohh, I see you all have started a weight loss thread too. Must see what that is about as I am fat fat fat. DS actually pinched my belly yesterday and said "baby" (I used to let him stroke my belly when I was pg trying to explain what was happening...that has backfired now) ha ha

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/10/2007 11:08

bugger, now DS is choosing today to have the tantrum to end all tantrums...over everything, and nothing.

I'm off for a shower and then I'm going out with babyboo to do some nice girly shopping.

I am SO bored - again.

It is a grey dull day here, it does nothing for your mood.

We are off out in a minute to watch a spitfire fly over Scarborough Bay.

What a thrilling life I lead

Jamantha · 06/10/2007 13:02

Grey here too Ria

I have just loaded our DVD collection onto shelves (they had been packed up during decorating earlier this year). Watching a spitfire seems exciting in comparison. But at least we can now get at them when we want to watch a film when there's bugger all on tv tonight

Just looking through some of your past threads...you have all done so well BF! I think I am destined never to be good at it.

I having one of "those days'. DS was a nightmare and just about managed 4m and DD, well that was a whole other onset of probs. Pretty much stopped at 14 and a bit weeks but whenever I would leak I would get her back on up (until last week - she would have the odd feed).

Think this grey dull day is making feel sad all over again.

Daisy, have fun shopping.

Mother, I know what you mean about not being cross with the toddler but it is hard when it is your ego being tampered with.

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/10/2007 13:20

I decided to give the shops a miss....I left it too late and I can't deal with the queueing to get in and out of retail parks.

DH and I are doing a mega room rescue/declutter in our back room/office. Thanfully DD needs feeding so I can escape. He is irritating me to the point of irrationality today so best we don't spend too long in each other's company.

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/10/2007 13:25

slsbells, you have done well to get to 14 weeks, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I felt like givng up a few weeks ago as we both had thrush on top of a growth spurt feeding frenzy, then i had mastitis, but we seem to have gotten over the hump and things are a lot easier.

how you've stopped seems like a nice straightforward and relatively painless way to do it. I'll bear that in mind for when I do stop.

Charlie999 · 06/10/2007 13:32

Morning ladies - quickie for me....loads to do and no time...as usual

Think there was something in the air last night...10.30pm DD went to sleep and was awake ALL evening....its AGES since she done that.

Went to boots today and bought this....its just SO sweet

Welcome Elsbells...nice to meet you

Elsbells · 06/10/2007 13:34

I know what you mean BUT it is soo nice when it goes well to BF. Stopping has made me broody for no3! It's like I want a chance to get it right.

BUT that won't be for a while.

And you can type easily BF, chat on the phone and it is a great excuse to get out of boring chores (plus watching reruns of ER and Angel).

Speaking of chores, I have a pile of laundry that needs doing.
UGH

How do these little people make sooo much mess.

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/10/2007 14:24

My DD has been up since 4:30 again (thank heavens I had some ebm so DH could do the honours) and has only had three 20 minute catnaps since then. I've sent DH out with her in the pram to see if he can get her off to sleep for a bit as she is reaching that meltdown stage.

I think she's just started to realise that she can keep herself awake, and is testing it to its fullest.

so I can do a bit more MNetting while they are gone!!

The suit is lovely Charlie

foxybrown · 06/10/2007 14:32

Hello all. DD2 is definately having a raging growth spurt, she was feeding on and off all night. Not sure if co-sleeping is helpful, or whether she's sleeping worse because she can doze/snack/doze/snack. Sounds like a perfect life to me!

took her swimming today, she was very good, went under, seemed to enjoy it and didn't turn too blue with cold!

yes. t'was me Daisy.

Charlie999 · 06/10/2007 14:48

Daisy, My LO has started fighting going to sleep - its really pissing me off....I can hear how tired she is when she's crying....and I caught myself saying to her....well just go to fucking sleep then ...worked though!

To be fair, I think teething is kicking in properly, some of her crying is definitely "in pain" rather than "I'm tired but don't want to miss anything"

Bad Mummy Alert....As usual, she had her daily shit as soon as I left the house this morning and as B&Q are so useless about providing suitable facilities , she was changed on back-seat of the car....and I discovered half way through I had no wipes with me ....so arse wiped with a tissue and clean nappy [blush....and DH moaned at me..."Oh HOW could you forget?" How indeed....I only have to think about 10 different things just to get out of the fucking house......

Rant over

andiem · 06/10/2007 14:49
