Eandh, Dh is at work until 2 and is then going to friends house warming thing until tonight. My day is going to be loooooooong too. Was going to take the dsses to the zoo but they are already being annoying/ungrateful/unhelpful/argumentative little sods so I don't think I'll bother.

ds4 just had rice krispies multi grain things for his brekkie.

probably loaded with sugar but he loved them.

eandh · 22/09/2007 09:14

we are going for an exciting trip to the gadrn centre to buy some new shrubs for outside front door and may venture to matalan whooo my life is SO boring exciting

eandh · 22/09/2007 09:15

garden centre even!

Wilkie · 22/09/2007 09:20

PMSL - I see why none of this thread frequent the food boards! We'd get shot!!!

J tried some of DHs lemon and raisin scotch pancake this morning (warmed in toaster with butter on) and he LOVED it. Guess what he'll be having at lunch time?!?!?!

He still won't drink water which is frustrating but loved C&G juice. It almost makes me cry cos he has just started holding his own beaker and drinking - he looks SO grown up

Have uploaded some photos of our hols onto my profile if you fancy a gander.

Wilkie · 22/09/2007 09:24

EAH - I have got so desperate I am going to Grimsby to see my grandma Oh, I love her really!

eandh · 22/09/2007 12:08

woo hoo my dad has just phoned to say him and my mum aren't going out this afternoon (they were going to get decorating stuff) so did me and the girls want to go there for the afternoon (phew they'll entertain them for couple of hours!)

Hattie had lunch early and asleep as shes knackered and ellie watching lazytown then we'll leave here about 1.15 (my parents only live 10mins away )

and to top it off dh has just text to say shall we get a chinese tonightand have a nice night in together (although I did say i have to watch strictly come dancing!) - since we had that 'chat' last month he has been making such an effort with our relationship/helping in the house/looking after the dd'sand also cut down his alcohol consumption by about 75% I think he finally realised that i would just pack our stuff up and go with e and h if things didnt change - lets hope it continues

VinoRouge · 22/09/2007 15:37

I don't possess any skinny jeans I have to confess. I like to be COMFY!!

Rgee - I'll check my diary for a hot date in Oct. I realised today I had meant to invite you for a curry tonight (meeting with sxome other mums ) but obv you won't be able to come cos of DH being away. Good job he fixed the pc!! I wonder if E and P gave each other viral conjunctivitis cos P sounds exactly the same as E has been.

DH is out playing footie today. He hasn't signed up this season but they have rung him every week asking him to play. He must be good! Or they must be desperate.....He tok his taped together boots bless him. The ones he has are so expensive, toying with the idea of buying more but if he's not playing that often is it really worth it.

Had to take my new stair gates back today cos all our doors are too narrow. I made 4.00 out of asda cos bought them on offer and they refunded them at full price. Woo hoo.

I was too tired to log on last nigth so I missed the gravy police.

Wilkie I quite like being at work and as a result finding then days I have at home wiht E harder. She does my head in quite a lot. Even though I love her. Considering going back to work 4 days instead of 3 cos we could do with the money. Oh and I once tried to have drunken sex with a bloke at uni and we had a few (ahem) problems getting everything in the right place IYKWIM....I ended up going back to my flat to discover the problem - I had a tampon in. I never told him

Starting to think I should make more effort with finger food. Its so messy!!! Gave E chicken liver for lunch and she wolfed it down. I missed her pulling herself up the other day so not seen it yet.

PILs coming tomorrow. Roast lamb followed by lemon tart is on the menu.

EAH - good to hear that you and DH are getting on much better. Enjoy your chinese!

We will always be a pet free house ALWAYS because I am not an animal lover.

My dinner for 6 on Thurs went very well. I made a pork and orange casserole with veg etc then apple/blackberry crumble or choc tart. We all had both puds . Yesterday had 5 adults, 3 babies and 2 toddlers for lunch so we had afternoon tea which was enjoyed by all. Then I was driving a friend and her baby to near Doncaster but we couldn;t fit her, her pram, both babies and us in the car. She has a jane slalom pro pram and it is massive folded down. I had to sos a friend and leave ellen with her for a couple of hours.

I could go on and on. Ellen is crying in her walker so I really should hug her. She is really clingy at the mo and just wants me. I should be flattered I know but she even goes for me when dh has her.

Feeling a bit pensive about life in general.

LadyTophamHatt · 22/09/2007 15:41

I can't use tampons at all. It always feels like I've got a 100lb weight hanging from the string....

PLus I don't digging aorund down there. Thats Dh's job

eandh · 22/09/2007 16:02

i cant use tampons since having the dd's and I didnt even have natural births - just feel really uncomfortable

vino- hattie can be clingy at the mo and she is so contented playing if there is someone (doesnt matter who) in the room but if I walk off and ellie goes to the loo she has developed the habit of screeching!

Had a result went to my mum and dads and ellie invited herself to stay - as they have spare pj's and clothes there I said yes so just hattie tonight (surpringsly they didnt offer to have her think it may be the recent 5am starts cant compain as they have them both every 6 weeks for us anyway!)

So hattie and I home ad she'll be in bed by 6 as only had a short nap this afternoon, dh be home around 6 and then fingers crosed peaceful night!

canmummy · 22/09/2007 16:21

Well I just got back from taking the kids swimming! Dh suggested we take them on his way to work but by the time I'd got them all changed and in the pool he only had about 15 mins in there. So I took a bit of a gamble and stayed in with all 3 on my own I only stayed about 10 mins as it was quite stressful - dd1 can only just swim by herself and dd2 ok with armbands but even so.... Then when they got out the shower they said "mummy, can we have a towel?" at which point I realised I'd only bought one for me! Oh I'm so organised!! not!

ratfly · 22/09/2007 17:11

I didn't realise so many others dcs on here had allergies - we will have to swap ideas for foods, as I am REALLY getting stuck - I think that all S had to eat last week was rice cakes, apple/ pear / peach (can't have banana), and chicken with veg and pasta. He must be sooo bored! Do malt loaf or scotch pancakes have egg or milk in them?

EAH - I am the same with tampons, and I had a section too. Weird. And a right PITA cos I love tampons.

UD - I have quit fags! I have been a whole week now without one, although last night was VERY difficult.

S had teething pain last night, and was up loads in the night. luckily it was Sam's turn for the night shift .

And to top everyones exciting days out, we just spent an hour playing in the library. lol. MUST find somewhere interesting to go round here.

eandh · 22/09/2007 17:27

congrats on the smoking ratfly thats great

eandh · 22/09/2007 19:04

theUrbanDryad · 22/09/2007 21:02

ratfly - well done! you on msn later?

we went down to High Wycombe today to look at house prices and stuff, it's soooooo epxensive. the estate agent was going, "Well you can get 40 year mortgages and only pay the interest..." in 40 years time i'll be 65!! so we'll own our own house just in time for me to retire! great!

Handy tip - if you cant be arsed making a cheese sauce. Mix in a dairy lea triangle into the warm/hot baby food and it melts and goes all creamy and cheesy and yum.

Does anyone else have any tips like this to make my life easier?

eandh · 23/09/2007 16:44

when cooking a roast on sunday do far to much stuff and ten you have sundays dinner plus mondays lunch and dinner! (well I do it am sure Hattie gets fed up of same meal 3 times in a row but hey ho she can't tell me - yet!)

Wilkie · 23/09/2007 18:33

Totally agree re the roast dinner - I pureed the lot, roast potatoes, roast parsnip, lamb, mash, sweetcorn, peas, yorkshire pud and gravy. J LOVED it!!

When making a stew, also make loads more than you need and DON'T season so you can take a load to one side at the end for LO.

Mix fruit pot with Weetabix to give it a twist in the morning.

Had a nice weekend at mum and dads. Am knackered though cos J wouldn't sleep in travel cot and spent the night up and down which was crap cos DH wasn't there so I had to do it all myself.

Ratfly - great news re the smoking. Well done.

EAH - lucky you re night off from Ellie

PMSL at the tampon stories. I generally feel a bit - not sore - just uncomfortable down there since having J, including sex and tampons. Nothing to do with where I tore jut inside feels a bit irritable IYKWIM.

VinoRouge · 23/09/2007 19:41

I have been feeling decidely rough today after my curry with the girls ended up with me rolling in at 3am....it was fun though! Felt bloated and headachey today so went for a run to punish myself and really enjoyed it. First time I've run since last April!

Did tons of washing yesterday so took 2 big bags to launderette to dry and it only cost 3 quid better still I left it for them to dry. Holding off buying a new dryer til we know where we are moving to.

Ellen been fun today but during her morning nap managed to take her nappy off! She was only in her nappy so won;t be doing that again. She'd weed while she was nappyless so at least I discovered that the mattress protector works.

Lizzzombie · 23/09/2007 21:08

UD - I'm not posting on that middle class thread anymore but have read it all....I am 51% chav!!! was laughing the whole way through that quiz..I've had a couple of pairs of pristine white reebok classic trainers in my time! (and still wear gold hoops....gold jewellery makes me happy, and I am totally prepared to investigate its happiness properties scientifically to back this up!)

Lizzzombie · 23/09/2007 21:15

how chav are you?

Wilkie · 23/09/2007 21:21

PMSL - I am defo not Chav - only 21%. BTW - what is the MN obsession with class?? I am middle class but this appears to be a problem on MN. Can anyone enlighten me?? Or is it another Fruit Shoot/Daily Mail-esq debate?

canmummy · 23/09/2007 22:16

18% chav and pmsl all the way through!

Just taken lo 2 hours to go to sleep (instead of usual 10 mins) then dd2 came downstairs to tell me she'd wet the bed and proceeded to sit on my lap and wee!!! Yuk!

Am going with mil to get her results tomorrow and not looking forward to it at all. But I don't think she should go on her own tbh. I'm worried about having to breastfeed lo in the middle of a clinic where women are hearing the fate of their breasts as well - I'll see how it is and try to be sensitive.

eandh · 24/09/2007 06:19

27% chav for me and my chav name would be 'tammi-jade' according to the link on the end pmsl (been up since 5.45 with hattie hence early post ellie still snoring away in bed )

VinoRouge · 24/09/2007 07:02

21% for me. Anyone able to enlighten me as to what a croydon facelift is? Clueless at the mo.

Excited as I won a playpen on ebay last night so gonna collect it tonight hopefully. I want to use it as a fireguard really but it comes with the playtent thing too so multi use. Never really ebayed much but am getting quite into it. DH just sighed and said " so you are into MN, facebook and now ebay......"

Pouring with rain here. Got day off work cos mum on hol so she can't look after E. We're off to see a friend and possibly going swimming. I met my mate at aquanatal and hopefully another girl we met there is coming too. Handily I have 3 pieces of lemon tart left from yesterday so will take them with me.

Found a recipe yesterday for choc and banana bread and butter pud. Can't decide if I fancy it or not.
