Don't assume your room will have a kettle - we realised to our surprise recently that that's a British thing.
Ellie, what's up?

nappynuttynormabutty · 05/09/2007 09:37

Ellie - hope you're ok, if you want to talk about anything we're all here for you (and some of us are on msn if you don't want to post it on here)

Pesha - yes it was the 'alternative' one...which turned out to be there was a swimming pool at the reception but apparently no changing rooms, just had to change in the loos (according to some mutual friends)...oh, and it also had plastic ducks floating in it . There was no music, just board games and no meal (just some salad stuff you could help yourself to).

Morning all, where is everyone?!?

Well we had a nothe shocking night, think D must be having a growth spurt so waking up for a feed but my boobs have adapted to him sleeping through so have very little milk at 2am so at the moment he is feeding continuously through the night to get my supply back up again. Tpical of him to wait till kids are back at school so I cant have a lie in! And last night he was really snuffly aswell so was finding feeding hard due to that too and some little sod, or nathan as we normally call him, has hidden my lovely chest rub stuff I had for him

I have an interview on friday for a job as a promotions person in asda handing out samples. Not very exciting and I dont really want to do it tbh but the pays pretty good for the type of work and the hours are all ok for me to work without having to pay childcare. It is just ocassional work at first, I think hes taking on a few people to see who does well iykwim and cos he said he had people let him down before. Am meeting him in asda and he told me to take ID, bank details and national insurance number so seems like he's gonna give it to me (unless I come across really badly!) and i've just gotta prove myself. But what do I wear??? I dont wanna be too smart but need to be fairly smart I guess. I have smart black trousers but what top? Think I'll go look at next site as I have an account with them so wont have to spend anything now!

Peshatlast · 05/09/2007 09:50

X posts nutty - sounds like great fun bet you're gutted you missed that The pool sounds quite nice, not sure about board games rather than music though.

StealthPolarBear · 05/09/2007 09:50

Good luck Pesha - it sounds quite good to me and if you hate it you can always leave, if it's just ocassional work it doesn't sound like that would be a big deal iyswim. I'd go for black trousers & smartish top like you say.
But then I'm the person who spends the day dressed in a polar bear suit so don't take fashion advice from me!

Peshatlast · 05/09/2007 09:51

Oh and that should be 'we had another shocking night'!

StealthPolarBear · 05/09/2007 09:52

And sorry to hear about your bad night, T has also started waking again just when I thought he was sleeping through the night, well it's been about 2 weeks now. At least it's only once a night - so far!
Morning nutty, how are you?

I'm afraid I am the reason Ellie's run away for a bit. So I'm bowing out guys - Wishing you all the very best .... wish I was as eloquent as Octo, but I'm not.....

So.

Hey ladies,

Havent been on for a few days as like many others C has been waking during the night for the past 3 nights - usually waking at 1 and not going back down until 5.... hadnt really thought about my supply til you mentioned it pesha - he has been sleeping through since 8 weeks, so no wonder there isnt much milk for him at 3am - luckily dp has been getting up with him and giving him a bottle!! Still feel like I have been hit by a bus mind you.

CD/Ellie hope you get yourselves sorted out - I personally dont think that either of you need to bow out, hopefully you can resolve things off here. Hugs to you both

WO and I are off to waterbabies this afternoon so we will report back on that..

Eddas · 05/09/2007 10:58

cd, don't go

I don't like it when people want to leave, that goes for me too, Maybe just have a few days off instead that's all my big fat butt needed, a few days to get my head straight. These damn shool holidays have screwed me right up

DD has her first swimming lesson today, and she just won't accept that it isn't NOW. They just have no idea of time I told her it would be when the little hand was on the 2 and the big hand on the 12, now she keeps looking at the clock with this face saying 'oh, it's not there yet'!!!!!!!!!!!

5 days til we go on holiday, butlins here we come I am stupidly excited

geordiemacminx · 05/09/2007 10:59

Oh also meant to add that we got ropped into oe of those photo sessions at mothercare yesterday - pay £10 and get a free picture.... came out £200 lighter...

But they ARE lovely pics!!!

Eddas · 05/09/2007 10:59

and ellie obviously don't go either, but I hadn't read your post

Peshatlast · 05/09/2007 11:06

What do we think of this top?

I'm very uninspired by next!

geordiemacminx · 05/09/2007 11:12

How about www.next.co.uk/shopping/women/workwear/32/2

the pink colopur is nice, its smart without being too formal, and cheap!!!

geordiemacminx · 05/09/2007 11:12

x-posts there pesha - thats nice too, you'd probabaly get more wear out of that one too.

I dont like having my bingo wings out though
