Grin
EllieK · 26/08/2007 20:46

he's been texting me more than i have him so it obviously didn't worry him

Dan is lovely, but I just don't like him that way, may have something to do with having thought he was gay until recently

OP posts:
mammyjo · 26/08/2007 20:48

So would you see him again? Poor Dan, bet he would be mortified if he knew you thought he was gay! Most guys would be I think

EllieK · 26/08/2007 20:56

thing is, I met Dan is sainsbos cafe last week, and before i got there the bloke behind the counter had tred to chat him up
and i was chatting to a mate of his last night, who can see why people would think it.

mammyjo · 26/08/2007 21:02

Bless him

EllieK · 26/08/2007 21:05

Katy, I think her legs hurt because you can get flu-like symptoms and aches and pains with it.

I can't believe you've got the energy to go out dating and stay up til 2am. I feel sooooo old! I am in my PJs by 8pm.

EllieK · 26/08/2007 21:09

i haven't, that's why i fell asleep in his armchair

OP posts:
EllieK · 26/08/2007 21:46

Skott's told you all not to talk to me until I've tidied hasn't he?

Hi ellie

Pesha · 26/08/2007 22:06

Have caught up, heres what I remember -

Elkie, katy, WO and mammyjo (?) - thanks for comments re bf thread, am trying not to really think about it too much at the moment just concentrating on his feeding, making sure its often enough for long enough etc which I think it is, he always seems satisfied. Earlier I put him on the wrong side after only a short gap and after the first burst of milk he made it very clear that there was not enough and he was not impressed! Which actually reassured me that normally he must be getting enough, or at least as much as he wants, or he would be like that at every feed iyswim. WO - jodie has sent me her hugabub and is so far refusing to give me her address so I can post her some money for it, not even for p&p! So wont need yours but thank you for the offer And you with your sling addiction and all!

CD - hope you're feeling better now, sorry it buggered up your anniversary

Leaky - at twats in the swimming pool. Thing is if you'd stayed there would you have actually enjoyed feeding him? Seems to me like nothing you said or did was gonna change their attitude so best off removing yourself from an unpleasant situation - not running away at all!

Katy - so when you having this baby then?! If I'm not gonna have anymore then everyone else has to have them for me!!

Mammyjo - your post about not wanting more but feeling sad about it is exactly what I've been feeling about it. I dont want an extra child but very sad to think I'll never go through it all again.

Ummm ok Im blank now Still I've not done that many personals in ages!!

Oh yes - duh -

OCTO - really sad you're leaving but do understand why (or you have left already in which case you wont see this unless you do a little secret lurking after your hols to see if you're missed ) I expect oooggs and wcl will pass on all the goodbyes.

MIAST - lovely to 'see' you again and see your pics. And just in case you get this - dont feel you have to try and keep up with everything, just pop in and out whenever you feel like it to give us a quick update on how you'r getting on or have a rant, get a bit of support or whatever

Katy44 · 26/08/2007 22:38

Pesha, what happened the other day, you seemed to disappear quickly? Hope everything's OK and you're not too stressed. Also, sorry if you've already answered this, what happened with the house swap thing?

EllieK · 26/08/2007 22:42

pesha's thread this is why she disappeared I think Katy

(i'm still not here!)

Katy44 · 26/08/2007 22:43

Ellie, sorry your date wasn't as good as you hoped!
elkie, I know what you mean about ttc straight away, I think mine's only 3 months (well that's how long you hvae to work without paying back your maternity pay) and I do think I'm tempting fate a bit by putting it off....but I haven't been in my current job that long and if I leave a year or so after coming back I'll have pretty much been on ML more than in the job! Plus I feel as though it'll be expected that I'll be straight off again and I kind of want to get past that. I know it's irrational but it's how I feel. I'll be keeping an eye out for you on the antenatal threads some time next year though (when do you start work again?)

elkiedee · 26/08/2007 23:12

Katy, you'll be fine, you've got plenty of time to think about having more babies. Unfortunately I put things off rather a long time and I think I'm more than 10 years older than you. dp and I talked about wanting babies very soon after we met, but there was always some reason to wait a bit before stopping using contraception.

As a result, I might not get lucky twice, and if I do, it's likely I'll wait to tell, on or offline.

Pesha · 26/08/2007 23:17

Katy the thread ellie linked too is why I disappeared. Decided to start my own thread rather than dumping all that on here!

Wrt the house swap thing the other people never called back so I assume did not want the house. I kept meaning to call her and ask directly but never really got round to it. I am still looking but we have decided staying here isnt too bad so just looking for somewhere really good now that ticks all the boxes, if we cant find that then we'll just stay.

elkiedee · 26/08/2007 23:26

Pesha, glad to hear about the feeding, it does sound as if he knows what he needs.

Ellie, is your house tidy yet? Mine is as always a tip if it's any comfort.

I've just spent a while rearranging boxes of CDs that I hardly play - I've put a lot on the computer and then on our ipods, but also pregnancy even before D's arrival makes it seem like another life when I acquired this giant collection (mostly late 2004 - early 2006). Tomorrow I'm going to offer some of my old vinyl up on Freecycle and see if anyone will come and take it away.

weeonion · 26/08/2007 23:33

evening folks i have been on here readin gsome of our old threads - especially the ones form april and our childbirth stories. i am such a sop - i cried again at some of them!! must be joining katy and elkie in getting broody?????????

leakyR · 27/08/2007 10:36

Morning

You're obviously all off making thw most of this gorgeous BHM weather. Me too, as soon as the grizzler has had his nap we're off to York for the day.

Hope you all have a lovely day

CaptainDippy · 27/08/2007 11:55

Ooooh, I LOVE York - one of my fave cities .... I wanted to go to Uni at York, but I married DH instead!!

Have been at a friends with DD1 to give DH some "space", he was getting so stressed out with all the crying and hinging this morning .....

We're going to have lunch then go to Pets at Home to look at the animals then off to a steam railway for a ride! Should be fun!

Have a text from katy this am - she is poorly AGAIN ..... all crampy and feeling sick! She's off to see out of hours GP today. Poor thing.

Right, P wimpering so boobie required ....

CaptainDippy · 27/08/2007 13:51

Just had another text from katy - she has been admitted to hospital. They are not sure what is wrong, but are doing blood tests etc ..... could be her appendix!!? Will update when I have more info ....

Eddas · 27/08/2007 14:01

hi everyone, CD, please wish Katy well from me. Hope they can find out what's wrong and sort it out

runnyhabbit · 27/08/2007 14:39
