Iggy Pop !!

leakyR · 26/08/2007 16:00

My contribution was Daniel Auteuil Same age as my dad

Katy44 · 26/08/2007 16:04

He looks familiar, who is he?
I agreed with the Richard Beckinsale person, but think that was a different thread as he died quite young

leakyR · 26/08/2007 16:07

French actor. Horseman on the Roof, Hidden (recently), Lucie Aubrac loads of others. I have an unwritten rule "Never trust a Frenchman" (long story) but I'd break it for Daniel

Thanks for letting me know about Octo Mammyjo and oooogs. I hope she does keep in touch

DD is much better now, thanks. She was grumpy but not too bad in the day but at night she kept waking up screaming and saying her legs hurt

My holiday was ok, not the best because the campsite was filthy but we had some lovely days out. We have just booked to go to Spain for Xmas so I can look forward to that

Katy44 · 26/08/2007 16:19

glad your DD is better (but why did her legs hurt? Did she have spots on them?) and you have a holiday to look forward to.

Katy44 · 26/08/2007 16:20

sorry that sounded odd, what I meant was, was it related to the chickenpox or is this something different?

elkiedee · 26/08/2007 19:50

Katy, how long do you have to go back to work for under the terms of your maternity leave scheme? It's 6 months for me, so I may start ttc as soon as I go back. It took 9 months last time and I was relieved to find out I could still get pregnant then, tbh.

CaptainDippy · 26/08/2007 19:55

Gosh - not much action on here tonight ..... I've just finished Class List for our next set of Antenatal Classes and off to watch DVD ....

Good grief - P just started crying and I went in there and her face was white ..... completely covered in milk!! Cleaned her up and DH just putting her back to bed .... poor bubba - Think she has a touch of whatever I had on Friday.

Anyway, hopefully she is ok now (she was smiling and giggling when we were cleaning her up ) so off to watch DVD with tea and popcorn!

mammyjo · 26/08/2007 20:10

Popcorn sounds good CD! Enjoy your dvd. Hope P has a settled night after her white face earlier

Leaky, cant say I share your taste in the older man! I skimmed that thread, would be quite partial to Dustin Hoffman myself!

Where is Ellie? I want to know how the date went!

EllieK · 26/08/2007 20:11

I'm here, hang on, just let me read through ................

Katy, I wont be joining your new stats thread! No more for me, which I am happy enough about, but a bit sad at the same time. Its a funny thing, the thought that I will never be pregnant again or ever hold a brand new baby again, but at the same time I dont want any more. Does that make any sense at all?

Boob is finally much better. After all this time I think it was the way F has been latching. The bf advisor told me to keep an eye on her position, and on that side it was very wonky at times. I had not noticed it at all myself. Have made a concious(sp?) effort to correct her and its definitely made things easier. Cant believe it was such a simple thing after all the pain I have had. If it wasnt for the bf advisor I would never have even thought about that. Just assumed that as a seasoned pro, the latch would never be the problem!

mammyjo · 26/08/2007 20:15

Oooh, speak of the devil

EllieK · 26/08/2007 20:22

i went out with my friend Dan to start with, had a really good laugh. Hadn't heard from internet man (or ewwwwwww if you're nutty cos that's what she calls him ) all day so text him to ask what was happening. he text back to say he would be coming into Bury (where I go out) but would be going back to Stow (15 mins drive, where he goes out) at 11. this meant I was only gonna meet him for 20mins unless I agreed to go to Stow which pissed me off a bit.

OP posts:
mammyjo · 26/08/2007 20:33

Hardly worth meeting someone for the first time if its only for 20 minutes. Having said that, maybe it could be a blessing Anything happen with Dan, or is it not that sort of thing?

mammyjo · 26/08/2007 20:34

sorry, I am a right nosey parker!

elkiedee · 26/08/2007 20:37

Ellie, you can't keep us in suspense like that! Well, I guess you can, but did you still meet him in the end?

EllieK · 26/08/2007 20:39

so i met him, he seemed nice enough, didn't feel any real spark tho. I went to Stow with him. they have no bars in Stow, just clubs which are real dives. so we can't talk as can't hear each other in club, i feel awkward as this is 'his' place and all his mates are there so i feel really out of place.

about 1.30 he suggests we leave, and has just presumed that i'll drive him home and go in for a drink. this pissed me off too. but i did, at the very least i need to stay friendly with him because his sis works at nursery.

i deliberately sat in an armchair. we chatted, he's ok, bit juevenile at times (he's 29, that's young for me ) and i think he'd get on my wick quite a lot, but it could have been nerves. his mate rang him, i could hear he was asking about me, made me think of you lot! then I fell asleep narcolepsy is an arse at times . I was in a narcoleptic sleep so I could still hear everything but couldn't react. he said my name quietly a few times in a rather pathetic attempt to wake me, then turned the lights off and went upstairs . when I was with it enough to wake up I just left but I have text him a few times today.

EllieK · 26/08/2007 20:40

Dan is really sweet, and I know he likes me, but he's very camp and i just don't fancy him

OP posts:
mammyjo · 26/08/2007 20:42

Did he know about the narcolepsy? Typical that it had to happen at that time. Has he replied to your texts?

mammyjo · 26/08/2007 20:43

You dont fancy him at all? Did you fancy the ewwwwwwww man?

EllieK · 26/08/2007 20:44

not sure if i'd told him about narcolepsy or not, but as it was 2am and i'd been yawning for ages i don't think he was too shocked when I fell asleep!
