Where is everyone?????

Don't leave!!!!!!

Pretty much all packed and sat on by bum with a large glass of red wine waiting for the curry to arrive. Sorry CD!

Hope everyone is well. xx

Sexonlegs · 24/08/2007 20:54

WaspElly, lovely pics!

mammyjo · 24/08/2007 22:04

Good evening everyone. CD, how are you feeling this evening? Hope you are a little better

SOL, enjoy the curry and wine. I have scoffed a chinese curry with rice and chips - YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

Bye bye octo, look after yourself. to see you go

Pesha, skimmed through your other thread - the one that kicked off! Is your dd ok?

Sexonlegs · 24/08/2007 22:24

Hi Mammyjo. Your dinner sounded luverly! Curry all eaten and now feel ill!

Going to bed now and probably won't have time to check in tomorrow morning.

So.............

Have a lovely week ladies, keep well, and if you can't be good, be careful!!

Love you all. xxxxxxxxxxxxx

elkiedee · 24/08/2007 22:57

Pesha, sorry to hear that you're still worrying over your baby's weight and getting stressed by your whole team of HVs. I hope it all works out for you, and that the outcome is one where you feel that you have indeed done the best for your baby as you want.

Sorry I missed SOL before holiday, hi to anyone else who is around.

I went to read D (and dp) a story as part of D's bedtime routine, and fell asleep for at least an hour. It was very much needed and I woke up of my own accord to find D had just fallen asleep so dp and I both came down together for a few minutes and a cup of tea together Oh the excitement! But we are going out tomorrow (local Turkish restaurant with a couple of friends, D in tow in his pram).

Probably goodnight (but is anyone else still up or should I be wishing you all good morning in advance?)

CaptainDippy · 25/08/2007 07:06

Good Morning I'd say! Gosh, were we all tired little bunnies last night or were we all out painting the town red!!!!!?

I went to bed, feeling better this morning, but still a little wobbly and things still "not quite right"

I think getting up at 6.30am in a Sat morning is obscene! Yuk!

CaptainDippy · 25/08/2007 07:12

Awwww, love the photos WaspElly - the one of your and your LO's crashed out in the park is sooo sweet, C has got a super cheeky smile, hasn't he!!? Any more close-up's of T we can see??

Should the SE girls be arranging another meet-up soon? .... What do we think? Although SOL is on hols now and she is the "organising queen", so we should probably wait for her to come back .....

WaspElly · 25/08/2007 07:41

Awww thanks CD, I'll see if I've another T photo from the same set..
I'd like to meet up although trying to move house is becoming a strain - starting to feel as though I really have to go back to work to achieve any house we'd really like

We're off on 'holiday' nest Weds ouselves - well we were supposed to be sailing at Dartmouth Town regatta but the boat sale won;t have gone through in time, so we're just going to hang around really. Never mind. Sounds as though another SE meet up might have to wait til SOL returns!

Katy44 · 25/08/2007 08:00

morning everyone

Katy44 · 25/08/2007 08:06

Glad you're feeling a bit better Dippy
I feel awful this morning - a combination if sleeping most of the night in a room with all the windows shut ( at DH) and having the door shut so me stressing about not being able to hear T (which I couldn't)
Need a nap!!

Sexonlegs · 25/08/2007 09:25

Morning, just running out the door!

CD, glad you are feeling better - take it easy.

Katy, get some rest!!!

Would love to have another SE meet up. Need to have a look at a map and see what looks good for all.

Must run....... xx

Katy44 · 25/08/2007 09:59

Morning SOL although I'm sure I've missed you now

CaptainDippy · 25/08/2007 10:32

Bye SOL! We'll arrange the meet-up when she's back .....

I'm sure you'll have a lovely time away anyway, WE .... Poo about the boat sale though .... How is the whole "moving house thing" going btw? Or shouldn't I ask.....

Younger 2 napping & DD1 drawing so nipping on here before taking DD1 to a Pirates & Mermaids Party ..... Ahoy, me hearties!!

CaptainDippy · 25/08/2007 10:33

Have a nap katy .... get DH to take T. Aaaah, the luxuries of 1st chlildren ...

Katy44 · 25/08/2007 11:55

DH has T - they are both napping - look so cute
I've had a long, uninterrupted shower, bliss!
Hope you enjoy pirates and mermaids CD, what are you going as?

maveta · 25/08/2007 12:10

I´m back! How have you all been? Have skimmed the threads so think I am more or less up to date although I can´t remember anything! Except of course BYE OCTO!! Of course we understand but you will be sorely missed.

I am having a brilliant time with dh being on holiday, just doing lots of family things, it´s nice just feeling like we have time again. He´s back to work on thursday but then only back 2 weeks before he´s off for another 2 weeks. And then I´ll be starting back at work Can´t quite believe it. Had a fantastic time with my friend who has now gone home but it was really amazing to have her here and we talked almost non stop for the whole 3 days

Got to dash again, off to a friend´s house for Paella..mmmmm..

Love to you all x

Katy44 · 25/08/2007 12:17

Hi maveta
Glad you're having lots of fun!

elkiedee · 25/08/2007 14:31

Welcome back Maveta. Glad to hear you had a good time.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad night Katy.

I feel quite spoilt by contrast, as dp has looked after D most of the time since he woke up for the 2nd time at 8 am, so I got to go back to sleep after D woke us up for 5 o'clock feed (this is normal time but I don't usually get to sleep again) for about 2 hours, then I've been reading and adding a few songs to my Ipod. D's now asleep in his pram after coming home from a walk, and we're catching up on some washing and drying since the sun's finally put in an appearance. It's astonishing how easily pleased I feel these days..... [happy}

leakyR · 25/08/2007 17:08

Quiet on here today. I'm not really here but I had to tell you about my trip to the swimming pool.

Had lovely time with Dh and G who is getting happier and more confident every time we go.

He's always starving afterwards so once we were dressed I sat down in changing room to give him a feed. While we had been getting changed awoman came in with 2 kids, a girl about 8 and boy about 4. She took the boy into a cubicle with her and immediately started screaming at him to "WAIT" and "STOP IT" then she pushed him out calling him a "stupid shit" while she finished getting ready. The girl came over to stand with the boy and they started goggling at me bfing.
Little boy said "LOOK!!" pointing at me and the girl said "Dirty bitch" The woman could see and hear all of this and just smirked at the comment. I felt so but thought I'd just get a load of abuse if I said anything. I'm to say that when G's latch broke although he hadn't finished feeding I just bundled him out of there. Still feel mad now - mostly at myself for slinking out of there.

mammyjo · 25/08/2007 19:04

Leaky, that just sums up some peoples ideas of parenting. If my ds ever spoke like that about anyone I would immediately be chastising him. Having said that, she has obviously learnt to talk in that manner from her mother, since she called her son a stupid shit. Some people are so charming. Dont let it bother you (easier said than done I know). They sound like brainless idiots to me.

oooggs · 25/08/2007 20:08

hi all - have just skimmed the threads I have missed and about Octo but she is going to keep in touch with WCL and I.

can't remember much else, hope all is ok, anyone weaning a bottle fed baby? when are they feeding milk and food?, how much?, how old? so confused amd can't remember from last time except that James opened his mouth, ate and enjoyed.

CaptainDippy · 25/08/2007 21:07

& leaky - can't believe that little girl called you a "Dirty Bitch" BF is one of the most natural things in the world .... don't feel bad about slinking off, think I would have done too!!

Weaning ...... Perhaps you should start a thread oooggs?? I know it is crap, but I honestly can't remember myself ..... DD2 was BLW so was very different from the whole structured routine of traditional weaning ..... Sorry.

Right, feels like midnight so I'm off to bed ..... night ladies ..... xxxx

WestCountryLass · 25/08/2007 21:44

Can someone fill me in on why Octo has left?

Been away for a week so won't catch up! We went to Cornwall, the day after we got there DD came out in chickne pox, need I say more....

mammyjo · 25/08/2007 21:48

She just wanted to stop coming onto MN and spend more time with her family. Nothing bad happened, just a personal choice.

mammyjo · 25/08/2007 21:49

Oh, and welcome back oooggs!!
