No clove oil but might have to get some.

I used to love shoe measuring thing too!!

And luce this is the earliest ive ever done it but the place is always heaving anyway so dont really fancy it last minute with nathan and his new habit of running off for no apparent reason with no warning and a rather large 3 wheeler with a no doubt crying baby in it! Not that he cries much but what with the law of sod and all he's bound to!

Oh bugger and he has jabs tomorrow morning too

geordiemacminx · 16/08/2007 23:06

hey ladies just a quick one as i'm using me phone! Mum came up today so offered to look after c tonight so dp and i could go to pics and for a meal. Got home just after 10 found poor mum in tears bless her. C had started crying before we even got off the drive and had sobbed for the best part of an hour. Wouldnt even take his bottle. Eventually went to sleep on her after 8 but she didnt dare move him in case he woke so had no dinner and couldnt even make herself a cup of tea. I felt so so sorry for her. She's now convinced c hates her. I feel like such a bad mammy and an even worse daughter!

Pesha · 16/08/2007 23:29

gmm am just off to bed now my boys asleep but just had to say that you are neither. you couldnt have known that c would be like that and its not a reflection on either of you. doesnt feel nice tho i know but mustnt let it make you feel bad - it just means you need to go out more often so he gets used to it!!

elkiedee · 16/08/2007 23:30

I'm here, computer trouble, using dp's laptop, long version of rant disappeared into the ether, and I face a day without mumsnet tomorrow as I can't get online from main computer - internet connection works but internet explorer doesn't

Katy44 · 17/08/2007 07:23

oh gmm that sounds awful Typical isn't it, was that the first time you'd really left him for any length of time? I bet it will be better next time
elkie, we didn't get the short version of your rant, what's up? Hope everything's ok

Sexonlegs · 17/08/2007 08:10

Morning lovelies.

Pesha, sorry you are still have teeth trouble.

Had a funny image of Nathan running off and peeing all over the shoes!!

Elkie, hope you are ok.

GMM, I agree with Pesha. You need to go out more often so C can get used to it . I honestly believe that the lo's know when we are going out. Last Thursday I missed Body Balance cos K wouldn't settle, and then again last night as per my previous post. Devious beggars!

I remember looking after my nephew when he was 6 weeks old. Had exactly the same issue, in that very time I tried to put him down he screamed. Stood up with him for 2 hours! My back was shot to pieces. Brother got back and sent me home in a taxi!

Anyway, hope everyone is well and have had reasonable nights. xx

Hi SOL

CaptainDippy · 17/08/2007 08:37

GMM - not bad mummy or daughter - It was her choice not to call you (which was v.nice of her obviously....) Babies can sense stuff I am sure of it ....

Morning anyway!

Terrors did go off to sleep about 9pm ish in the end; then DH & I had pizza and I went to bed cos I was so knackered ..... these extra-early mornings now that DH has started his new job are killing me ...... yuk!

Glad you enjoyed Body Balance and found it so relaxing SOL - I don't think anything could relax me anymore.

Best go -P screaming, other 2 causing merry hell .... Back later as friend is taking K out - yippee!

CaptainDippy · 17/08/2007 08:38

You'd better go the Dentist today Pesha!!

Have fun at Clarks .... not!

bumble75 · 17/08/2007 09:05

Morning all,
Stressful week here - dh has been off work with badly swollen ankle from allergic reaction to mozzie bites and not really able to walk much.

I had a fab night out with some pals from work on Wed night, was great to go out. Am supposed to be going out tomorrow night with dh for anniversary but apparently L has decided she doesn't like drinking ebm from a bottle any more. How did this happen????????? She has never been fussy about where the food comes from and has always taken bottles. Am going to try her again later today (after trying this morning) and hope for the best. Otherwise, will have to give her last feed myself quite early, do mad dash into town for the show we're supposed to go see and hope she doesn't wake up before we get home. If worst comes to worst we can always just go out for dinner and miss the show but would be gutted as we've been looking forward to this for ages.

Sorry for very self indulgent post, feeling very tired and blah this week.

Hugs to everyone, I only skimmed the thread so hope everyone is well.

x

Morning all. Apologies, havent had chance to catch up, except to say gmm you are neither a bad mum or daughter. Good on your mum for persevering. Just think, the nights out can only get better from here!!

CD, hope you get some rest today bless you x

All ok here. Boob did seem to be getting better with antibiotics, but this morning is bloody sore again so I dont know what the hell is going on. Am going to dig out the number for local bf advisor I think.
Had lovely news this morning. My friend gave birth this morning to her first baby. A little boy of 5lb 11oz. So so pleased for her. Brought a tear to my eye! Must tell her about MN!!

Katy44 · 17/08/2007 10:22

well I have my 1st post baby period Suppose it's not surprising as T has started to sleep through (or at least not feed during the night)
What can I expect? Heavier/lighter, loner/shorter than normal?

Has anyone seen Pinions around for a while? Hope she's OK.

weeonion · 17/08/2007 10:32

hi katy.. not had my period so i dont know what it would be like in terms of lighter/ heavier/ longer / shorter.

you sad about it?

weeonion · 17/08/2007 10:35

i havent seen pinions around.

does anyone have any news from smole??

CaptainDippy · 17/08/2007 10:46

Wouldn't let me post for a while - had to close down Internet and start up again.

Did L take the EBM, Bumble? How strange - hoping it was just a little blip and she takes it ok this morning so you can go out for your Anniversary meal hon. Who will be baby-sitting??

Have fun taking the toys back to the shop, Luce!

Poor you mammyjo - Sorry to hear that the Boob is playing up again - hope GP can help, really draining being poorly sick and in pain on top of everything else. {{{{hugs}}} Congratulations to your friend on the birth of her little boy though!! Will you get to see him soon or does she live miles away??

CaptainDippy · 17/08/2007 10:47

Think my periods were pretty much the same when they started again - Can't really remember though .... .... Mine haven't started yet ... long my it continue ....

CaptainDippy · 17/08/2007 10:49

Yes I was thinking about Smo;e just the other day .... wonder how she is getting on. I think it is Ange who has her mobile no....

Katy44 · 17/08/2007 11:06

thats odd...seems to have stopped again!
Yes, would love to know how smole is. AngeG was her buddy, she hasn't been around for a while either, has she? Neither has Yvie (everytime I say that she pops up!!)

weeonion · 17/08/2007 11:09

CaptainDippy · 17/08/2007 11:11

Dooby was on just the other day - perhaps yesterday even!!?

Periods can be all a little weird after childbirth .... come to think of it ... so can your whole body!!

CaptainDippy · 17/08/2007 11:12

Ah yes - here it is, weeonion ....
