Hello again, got very distracted just as I thought I would settle down for a natter on here! Isn´t In Pursuit of Happiness a bit depressing? I haven´t seen it but have heard it´s sad.. how about Big Fish? That´s a fab film. Or Everything Is Illuminated? Also fab, very funny.

Great news with all the babies sleeping through. N did wake up last night but was back down by 9pm and slept til 7am with a little wake up at 4am but I barely count those feeds because we´ve got the feeding in bed down pat and I just plonk him on, fall asleep, wake up, he´s asleep so I put him back in the cot. Easy as pie! So chuffed, I remember when I was having all those nightmares starting off breastfeeding, I thought feeding like this in the middle of the night was totally impossible and something I´d never master .

Thinking about buying some fake tan today but want something very light and MUST NOT SMELL! lol. Have tried St Tropez and found it too faffy, the Johnsons Holiday Skin got yellow after a while and I didn´t like the smell of either of them. Any recommendations?

Am being a rebel today and wearing a non-feeding bra! and (whispers) it´s underwired! Don´t care don´t care lalalalalalal.. love wearing a bra with teeny little straps!

Morning

ILs arrive at 11.30 there's probably more cleaning I could be doing but sod it!

MIL is coming to hospital with G and I this afternoon as he's haviing his cystourethrogram today (catheter on, dye squirted into bladder until it's full, then pictures taken as it's emptying to check for reflux). Can't imagine he's going to be a happy chappy.

DH got up and apologised this morning. I think because I was still banging around giving him the cold shoulder. I'm usually rubbish at staying in a huff for long. Told him he was selfish and insensitive, he's had full nights sleep every night since Sunday in a posh hotel in Edinburgh. I've had to deal with my stressed out parents, my sick gran and a teething, wakeful baby. Then I come home to a messy house and empty cupboards! He's supposed to be my help and support! Think I laid it on a bit thick

There's talk of ILs baby sitting tomorrow night so that DH and I can go out for a meal. think I'll make him take me somewhere expensive!

Very of all these sleeping babies.

Apologies for another rant. Think it's off my chest now

Good luck for this afternoon, hope G is OK
Glad your DH apologised.
Very of the meal though, think we're going to have to organise something similar soon as I really miss spending time with DH.

liath · 16/08/2007 10:28

Katy - they sort of stand but supported in the seat thingy. Ds has pretty good trunk control so doesn't slump in it.

Leaky - don't think you laid it on thick at all - sounds very reasonable . Hope you get taken somewhere nice tomorrow.

DVDs....Hmm, the best one I saw recently was Apocalypto but I don't think that would be suitable really!! How about Casino Royale - or would Daniel Craig in speedos put her heart rate up too much??

Katy44 · 16/08/2007 10:42

That sounds ideal, T would love it. They are expensive though! Might look for a cheaper version, although that one looks lovely.

thank you so much for all your well wishes xxxxxxxxxxx the meal last night was lovely, Jack was awake 1pm & 3pm but had teetha (no milk) and went straight back, he doesn't feed in the night anymore, Erin fed at 11pm then they were both up at 7am so much better.

Luce hun - know what you are going through, it is very tiring.

Hi all

Tummy is better thanks sol, was only a couple of hours feeling dodgy then fine.

Now have teeth problems Couple of years ago I went to see crappy stand in dentist who started giving me root canal cos he thought I had an abscess, it HURT! Nerve was still fully functioning as he tried to drill it out, he tried to give me an injection into the nerve but I was physically unable to hold still for the several seconds he needed when he's jabbing a needle into a nerve!! In the end I had to tell him to stop and leave me the hell alone. He stuck temp filling in and I walked out nearly in tears. Went to see my proper nice dentist who said it had not been an abscess was just muscle tension in my jaw but he had to finish the root canal the other guy started After few months the back half of the tooth broke off so he just did a filling but a few weeeks ago the front half of the tooth started to break off which it now has and last night it was keeping me awake cos it hurt so I pulled the filling out! Was wobbling anyway. So now have to go dentist and presumably have whats left pulled out. I dont want to go! I've had such crap dentists, this isnt the first time I've had a tooth pulled out when it shouldn't have been. And I normally end up having to have about 4 injections before I go numb so then cant feel a thing for the rest of the day.

Sorry massive moan. Feeling bit crap lately and not sleeping well even though D is. Sooo tired and not with it.

Luce, meant to say that someone recommended The Holiday to me as a fab film. She said that normally she is crap at watching dvd's and gets up half way through, but seemingly she didn't move a muscle watching it. x

Hi all, not on my own computer as we can't get internet explorer on that, though we can pick up emails and use dp's laptop on the same broadband connection. But I find this machine really hard to use!

I suppose I've missed Oooggs but was glad to hear you/she had a good evening.

Pleased also to hear re sleeping babies, D seems to be sleeping loads too, beginning to wonder if he's ok. I had to go to a hospital appointment as I had a rather scary episode in early June, so my father looked after D this morning while dp kept me company. The doctor at the hospital spent all of 5 minutes assuring us he thought there was nothing to worry about, and we got home to find D had gone back to sleep in his crib.

Pesha, sorry to hear about your teeth keeping you awake, hope you get to see the good dentist.

Anyway, should eat lunch while the going's good, see you later, computer permitting.

Glad your appointment ent well elkie.
About the sleeping - I think they have sleepy days and non sleepy days, yesterday T slept for ages (3 hours in the afternoon and had had morning naps too) but he's made up for it by having a non-sleepy day today! Every time he sleeps for more than an hour and a half I worry, but should prob just make the most of it

Katy, ikwym re the sleeping. I think it was because the first time K was very sleepy one time, it turned out she had a funny tummy. So now, like you, if she sleeps more than and hour and a half at one go, I panic!!! She slept for nearly 2 hours yesterday, but then we were outside and I wonder if it was the fresh air. She is fine.

Happi, glad you had an ok'ish time with the inlaws!!
