Hi girls, you´ve all been chatting like mad again..

Liath and Eca - love the photos your babies are both beautiful. Eca you and your family look smashing at the wedding and Liath. That housecoat. I don´t know what to say.

Thanks for the advice re. constipation.. I do try baby massage, plenty of time with nappy off, bicycle legs blah blah but then reach the point where I realise he just has to do it on his own. A lot of people have suggested cooled boiled water but everything else I have read says no, no, no, breastfed babies only need breastmilk Confused but I might try it tomorrow morning anyway.

Weeonion - you sound like you are having a fab time with your family despite all the boob problems, you are really amazing and I take my hat of to you re. your determination to keep going.

JoMa, sorry you´re having trouble with Justin´s family, hope it´s just a little bump in the road, great that your new job is going well though and a new internet flame? interesting...

Pinions - I know but the benefit of living in a place that gets proper hot summers is that you rarely fancy holidaying to hot places so I can actually do city breaks or country breaks without feeling I´m missing my two weeks in the sun. And dh is ridiculously in love with the UK and wants to see more of England.

I would LOVE to meet an MNers if I end up getting up that way but this is very early planning of a 2008 family holiday so not quite time to get excited!

Okay, I had hoped I would remember more but it´s taken me too long to type and I´ve forgotten everything else. Sympathies to those with colds/sinsusitis and ratty teething babies. Think that might be what´s been unsettling N, might try chucking some calpol equivalent down his throat next time and see if it helps.

ok. bed time, night night x

maveta · 31/07/2007 22:25

elkiedee · 31/07/2007 22:31

Sorry, Octo and Octo's dh.

eca · 31/07/2007 22:39

oh octo xx Thinking of you and your dh xx

octo · 31/07/2007 23:57

Thanks everyone Not really sure what I'm doing/what is going on etc - just here for dh when he needs us. Have spoken to the whole universe it seems and have consumed best part of bottle of wine - my dad had it ready on arrival! Ernie just had a bottle (ff!) and I am off to bed.

MIL cancer was very advancd and very aggressive - it really came down to huge doses of potential lethal chemo or nothing - they went for the chemo in the hope that it would work but her body simply could not cope.

I willl be offline for sometime I imagine (maybe some lurking) but will need to be there for dh and not mn'ing! I will keep in touch with oooggs whilst down in Devon.

andonandonandonandon · 31/07/2007 23:58

Octo am thinking of you and your family XX

Have just skimmed briefly through so apologies to everyone im missing out.

Maveta - D only poos once every 7-10 days and N used to go 2 weeks between poos, got really uncomfortable in 2nd week straining with bottom wind (!) but the actual poo was no probs for him when it came - big problem for me mind!! Once he went nearly 3 weeks Is quite normal for bf babies I think. Although Ive not read all your posts - is there more to it than just not pooing much? And I think water is more for ff babies, for bf babies the fore milk is equivalent to water so no need for it but cant hurt to try I guess.

Luce/eca (i think!) - I put on half a stone on hol so now 2 and a half stone more than pre pg weight. With both babies previously I put on weight and was only able to strart losing it once I stopped bf so this time am just concentrating on not putting any more on. HATE being this size but its only temporary and bf is def worth it. Agree that body is fighting to keep fat stores, my body lays down fat stores at the slightest sign of needing it, always gain half a stone for winter then drop it in summer without changing anything. Am actually abit pissed off its got hot now cos it makes it much harder to cover up!

Saw hv yesterday who wanted D to be checked by dr, saw dr today who looked at chart and said should get peadiatrician (sp!) to have a look at him and check him over so has referred him for that and should get an appointment through in next couple of weeks. Will be nice to have them check and make sure there is nothing wrong and will hopefully get hvs off my back now!

Off to Charmouth beach with my sister and her dd tomorrow then cake decorating tomorrow night, have cooked it tonight; coolplay with some of nathans playgroup friends on thursday (naths 4th birthday!! ), then prob sherborne castle with dp aswell on friday and nathans bowling party on sunday so bit of a busy week for me so may not be on much. Or not as much as normal anyway!
