Quick question to those who are weaning already. Has it made any difference to the sleeping at night pattern? Dont know whats going on with F as sometimes she will only wake once a night, then the next it can be three or four times. Cant really believe that a bit of solid food would make much difference to this but maybe?? Would be grateful for any thoughts!

normabutty · 23/07/2007 11:47

Oooh Pinions v of you if you go on holiday!

Leaky, will have to arrange a meet up soon (not v easy for me to get to Leeds centre, so don't kknow where you want to meet) so let me know what you think. Pinions, if you want to join us just say so!

octo · 23/07/2007 12:02

Pinions - don't forget to go and see Maveta

We are weaning and giving him food at teatime makes a big difference - he will then go to bed at 6pm, wake at 10pm - sleep til 4am then 7am - unlike last night where he woke 3 times - forgot to give him food! DH has been giving him a bottle at 10pm sometimes and that makes a difference too I think It does mean I can go to bed earlier though. Feel have had lots of late nights recently.

Katy44 · 23/07/2007 12:02

Right so next Tuesday, vennels, 11am?
Is that OK with you Judith?
Pinions, let me know when you're coming to Durham, if you have time to meet up great, if not let me know if I can help at all

octo · 23/07/2007 12:05

Mammyjo - if I'd known you were awake too I would have sent you sleep vibes! Tried to have a sleep but ernie not playing ball.

I have started my pureeing frenzy - now have a freezer full of carrot, courgette, butternut squash and sweet potato ice cubes! Need to get some apple, pear and parsnip done and will start giving it to him when feel he is ready. Baby porridge good atm.

Sexonlegs · 23/07/2007 12:06

Hi ladies

This weather is PANTS! Hope you can get away Pinions.

Leaky, best of luck at the hospital this week. Hope you are feeling better as well - sounds dreadful to be falling over.

K is suffering with a snotty cold poor love.

Knackered here too - but Emmy, not knackered enough to get y name back ! B woke at 2.30 dreaming about monsters, I couldn't get back to sleep as the rain was so noisy. Then K cried out at 6.00, which promptly woke B up who thought it was wakey up time! Dh took her back to her bed and gladly they stayed there until 7.30.

Eddas, B wants me to have another baby!! Conversation yesterday morning:

B: Mummy, can you have another baby in your tummy please. Please. Please. Please.

Me: No more babies darling

B: But I have asked you nicely!!

God love her!

Hope everyone is ok and not washed away. x

Afternoon

Just back from GP and a little walk by the Abbey. GP can't give me anything for inner ear problem as I am BF. I do feel a bit better today so fingers crossed it's on it's way out. Going back to surgery in an hour for G to have his jabs. He's asleep at mo so I should really be unpacking/putting away the stuff that is strewn round the flat. But I cannot be arsed!

Pinions if you get an appointment at Durham fot the same day service it should be done within a couple of hours. My only experience has been with an adult passport but they were very quick.
V of Majorca. My holiday destinations for 2007 have been Paris (bloody freezing in January), Northumberland last 2 weeks (not much warmer and certainly wetter than Paris) and we're going to the Lakes in September (I predict wet and cold!)

Norma can you get to the White Rose? That's near you isn't it? Maybe next week when I'm not so dizzy. Tue, Wed or Thu are good days for me.

Interested in weaning stories. I bought some bowls, spoons and baby rice last week but haven't started using them yet. Tempted if it makes him sleep longer though!

Oh he's awake. I'm off! Have nice afternoons.

octo · 23/07/2007 12:26

Right - ernie has now fallen asleep on his playgym - at last - but now I need to go and get ds2 ggggrrrrr!!!

mammyjoMcGonagall · 23/07/2007 12:41

Always the way octo! F would always fall asleep just before we had to leave to get ds from school PITA as you disturb them then getting into car seat!

maveta · 23/07/2007 12:46

oooooh oooh Pinions you definitely have to let me know if you come to Mallorca and we´ll meet up! go on go on go on!

octo - enjoy the fuzzis!!

EmmyKnackeredMuggle · 23/07/2007 13:17

Pinions - very of you planning to get away to some sun .

SOL - LOL at B asking you to have another baby! Why does she want another one, is she enjoying being a sister that much?

Well plucked up the courage to go in and see my boss this morning to talk about when I'd be returning to work. I had said I'd go back mid-November, but to be honest I'm enjoying motherhood so much this time that I now want to go back in the New Year. He was fine about it, and really pleased that I am happy and enjoying S (I had PND with Em and was desperate to get back to work). So I'm all as I can now relax for the rest of the year (well as relaxed as 2 kids let you be, but YKWIM).

EmmyKnackeredMuggle · 23/07/2007 13:21

It's 23rd July - so is Mammyjo gonna start a new thread at 16:19, and has anyone come up with a good title???

Katy44 · 23/07/2007 13:58

GMM - you - Judith Chalmers!
Enjoy liverpool

Katy44 · 23/07/2007 13:59

"Happy Birthday April 07 thread"

octo · 23/07/2007 14:08

Thread title 'Getting all nostalgic now - enough to make eddas's womb twitch' - may upset a few though lol!

octo · 23/07/2007 14:32

geordiemacminx · 23/07/2007 14:38

vant think of a title... will give it some thought though!!!

Katy44 · 23/07/2007 14:52

I'm just unpacking - it's the one thing I hate more than packing There's always some stuff that just doesn't have a place in your house!

oooggs · 23/07/2007 15:03

you are welcome of the support Octo - need to stick together

Mammyjo - porridge at 4.30, milk at 6.15, bed at 6.50. Wakes 4am then 7am or midnight,5am then 8am.

prefer the 4am set

today they have been calling for food every 3 hours instead of 4 so starting breakfast tomorrow - naughty oooggs

they had apple & babyrice yesterday (Jack thought it was Christmas!!)

oooggs · 23/07/2007 15:13

Erin can now roll onto front then screams and Jack can't roll anywhere as his belly gets in the way

Katy44 · 23/07/2007 15:20

geordiemacminx · 23/07/2007 15:24
