Holly, hope you managed to get some sleep before your HP fest! Are you still up reading? Hope it's good, you should post a spoiler on AIBU

Daisy, am loving the Paris Hilton tattoo - classy!

Derlor - well done on the new car, they're lovely and Hondas are such good cars - we almost got a CRV!

foxybrown · 21/07/2007 09:41

Morning all - blardy hell, I can't keep up!

DD2 slept for 6 hours last night (I benefitted from 4.5 of them). It was after a rather unsettled day with not much sleeping going on, but I slept from 10.30 to 3.00, then 5 to 7. I feel quite human!

Of course she's been sleeping all morning now am going to wake her up now.

Hope everyone is OK today.

Good news on the car Derlor! Good to hear its got 6 seat. You are SOOOOO going to have another baby

We are hopefully buying a Galaxy on Monday, but I suspect it won't be as stylish as yours! Oh so practical though.

daisyandbabybootoo · 21/07/2007 09:49

good morning....first day of the school hols and MRR has been on the step four times and has now been sent back to bed......and I've only been up an hour!

I can't believe there's another six weeks of this to go..... aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh

daisyandbabybootoo · 21/07/2007 09:49

well done on the sleep foxy, it's amazing what a difference a few hours can make.

foxybrown · 21/07/2007 09:55

My boys are completely knackered Daisy, seems they all are. There's also loads of bugs going around here at the mo. I think we're all in the same boat.

Unfortunately DP can't quite get to grips with cutting them some slack so its Tension City in our house.

But we are STILL being nice to each other.

foxybrown · 21/07/2007 09:56

I'm off to wake up DD and do a feed, then shopping (yay! the outside world!).

Will catch up later xx

annobal · 21/07/2007 10:00

Foxy, am very . The most DD3 sleeps is 3 hour stints. And now that dh is ill, i don't even get a sleep in .

daisyandbabybootoo · 21/07/2007 10:12

We're a bit low on slack chez Boo as well!

Enjoy your shopping foxy...next sale by any chance?

Sorry to hear about your still poorly dh annobal. Just look at it as saving up sleep tokens and get expressing for when he is well and able to do an all nighter for you!

I'm feeling much less stressed today after some much needed quality time with DH in the middle of the night

Got a double whammy of parties today.....12-2 at wacky warehouse [rictus grin] the a BBQ with 30 kids for my neice at BILs. It'll be raining, so we'll all be cooped up indoors [double rictus grin]. I might be able to slip away and do some shopping hopefully.

annobal · 21/07/2007 10:40

Shopping sounds good, even kids parties sound like fun at the moment. The most we will be doing today is dropping off the bed linen to be ironed (I have done ALL the other ironing today) and buying a paper.

daisyandbabybootoo · 21/07/2007 10:56

I'm impressed with your ironing annobal - mine has stacked to everest proportions again

Holly....there's some useful stuff on this thread sounds like this woman is in a similar situation as you re weight gain.

daisyandbabybootoo · 21/07/2007 11:54

ha ha....ive been given a reprieve from the first party. babyboo is feeding again and they'll be late if they wait for us to finish! well done babyboo

Just discovered some quite disturbing behaviour from my DS. I was putting things away in his room and there was dried up wee on top of one of his toy boxes. when i asked him about it, he said he did it after school a few days ago when he was playing in his room. when asked why..."because i wanted to". It turns out that he's also wee'd in one of his toy drawers (you know those three drawer plastic units)

I am utterly gob-smacked. Just spent ages talking to him and although he understands it's wrong and that we are quite cross and disappointed, he can't explain himself.

I'm also at a loss as to how to deal with his behaviou which is getting progressively worse.

foxybrown · 21/07/2007 16:20

Daisy - I had something similar with DS1. The cleaner told me that for about 3 weeks running someone had wee'd in the bathroom bin ( that she had to clean it and double as it shows I never empty my own bins). bin is right next to the loo.

Thought it was bound to be DS2 as he's a bugger anyway ... but DS1 'fessed up to it (he is Mr Clean and Mr Anal, fusses about germs etc) so was really shocked.

I asked him why, he shrugged said it was 'fun' (!). I asked him not to do it again, and he hasn't.

Cannot fathom it out. Its very odd.

Charlie999 · 21/07/2007 17:25

Afternoon everyone - been very quiet on here today. Everyone must be having a interesting RL weekend.

I am a golf widow this w/end and DD is fast asleep .

Been having a look at this thread . Makes me feel really old when I think of some of the things I have done .

What is it about boys and wee? My nephew proudly announced to the whole restaurant that he had "weed up the wall" on his first encounter with a urinal . Boys try anything out - chasing the loo roll round the toliet / tring to get the ants in the garden / who can get the highest - wonder if they ever grow out of it? .

annobal · 21/07/2007 19:00

Nope! DH likes to cross swords with ds1&2.

DS2 has been a bit like that - a couple of nights ago he didn't want to wear his nappy at night as he 'is now a big boy' but today he wanted to wear a nappy during the day and wet himself 3 times. Oh, and he has also weed in the lego bin and the stacking cups...

annobal · 21/07/2007 19:02

Just giving ds3 his bedtime feed T&G in bed, as is dh. Will collapse on sofa in approx 10 mins. annoyed that i have watched all of sex in the city

loonylovegood · 21/07/2007 19:08

Phew, finished! Spent all day festering in bed reading HP! Dp went and got it for me last night, started reading it at 1am and had to sleep at 3am. I finished it a couple of hours ago and it was pretty good. I sped through it, so am gonna start again from the beginning and read it properly!

It was lovely having a whole day in bed reading and cuddling William, it's the first time I've done this and it was great! Just feeding him and having little snoozes in between chapters!

Hope everyone has had a good day and all that went to Next got some bargains!!

annobal · 21/07/2007 19:19

Sounds like bliss holly

loonylovegood · 21/07/2007 19:21

I was pretty good annobal! I got v sweaty though and feel much better after a bath! What is it with these hot flushes? Must be the hormones!

OP posts:
annobal · 21/07/2007 19:23

what was hp like then? Am getting hot and cold flushes - maybe i'm going through early menopause

loonylovegood · 21/07/2007 19:26

It was good, but not very sad, I was expected full on sobbing, but I didn't even shead a tear! Maybe I've got harder in my old age!

OP posts:
lilQuidditchKel · 21/07/2007 19:45

well I was going to catch up & then type out a nice post, but DD is starting to wake from her first little snooze of the night and DH has made dinner which is now ready. Do I feed her or eat first? Aye yi yi. This parenting lark is some tough kind of multitasking...

love to all x

loonylovegood · 21/07/2007 19:46

Read Harry Potter yet lilkel?

OP posts:
Jamantha · 21/07/2007 19:49

I've lost count of the number of my meals that have sat waiting while I feed or comfort DD before I get to eat (or at least until DH has finished his and then he takes over so I can eat). Or occasionally I will bolt mine down so I can get to her asap before she really gets into the baby-freak-out zone.

derlor · 21/07/2007 20:39

eeee by gum, it's quiet on here tonight, you all off reading HP or trying on your new clothes from NEXT?!?!?!?
Holly can't believe you've read Hp already - i was feeling well pleased with myself for reading Relentless in 4 days!!(fab fab fab book BTW)

loonylovegood · 21/07/2007 20:41

My first bit of next stuff arrived this morning. It is at my parents' house though (I haven't changed the address on my account since living at home!), can't wait til I go over tomorrow! It's like christmas! Any of yours arrived yet derlor?
