foxy...good evening. How do you do a feeding routine with a bf baby...I thought it was all feed-on-demand?

bumperlicious · 18/07/2007 21:14

foxy at the cake!

Glad you and the DCs are having a good time. Sorry about DP. Anything in particular or just general twuntiness?

foxybrown · 18/07/2007 21:16

am too much of a wimp for Waking the Dead, or any of those shows. All a bit grim for me.

I am proud to fly the routine flag! But I do think if you get hung up on it its a nightmare. My DD would only sleep in her cot in a darkened room, but then I wasn't going anywhere with lunchtime and afternoon school runs so it wasn't a problem.

DD doesn't seem to have much waking up time, but its increasing little by little. She's only 6 days old, but feels like we've had her forever already. I don't want her to grow up at all!

derlor · 18/07/2007 21:17

IKWYM Foxy if you do the feeds the rest just comes.
Daisy - you are asking A LOT of routine questions my love, are you converting????

foxybrown · 18/07/2007 21:20

I just typed out the conversation with my DP which caused the row, but deleted it because I'm simply too embarrassed by him.

Fuckwit.

derlor · 18/07/2007 21:21

have a piece of cake Foxy - DON'T give him any!!!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 18/07/2007 21:22

I just want my life back...I can't be doing with sitting on the sofa every day.

DS fell into a routine...this little madam is obviously going to need some work [knackered and fed up emoticon]

daisyandbabybootoo · 18/07/2007 21:24

i think I'll be seen tomorrow coming out of Waterstones looking rather furtive...

...or is she strictly bargain bookshop these days

foxybrown · 18/07/2007 21:24

I am re-reading the book, but I do think its the structuring of the feeds that counts. Makes sense to me, if they get their fill in the day, they aren't going to need it at night.

Saying that I wouldn't leave them screaming for food, but I don't think I've ever had to.

Go on Daisy, you know you want to

derlor · 18/07/2007 21:25

Daisy, why not just buy the book and don't be frightened by it, we'll help you through it.

daisyandbabybootoo · 18/07/2007 21:26

oh, still haven't received any e-mails from either foxy or derlor.....but I did get one from Annobal with a pic of her and two of her boys.....they're all gorgeous!

foxybrown · 18/07/2007 21:26

I had a message saying yours was delayed!

daisyandbabybootoo · 18/07/2007 21:31

holly had that too...are you all hotmail? there's maybe a problem with the isps not talking to each other, as others have been getting through

loonylovegood · 18/07/2007 21:33

Hey chicks, hope you are all well. Going to catch up on the day now! Back in a sec xx

foxybrown · 18/07/2007 21:34

I don't know what to do now. Should I go to bed or wait a while?

She must be due to have some wake up time (other than for scoffing) soon!

foxybrown · 18/07/2007 21:34

Come back and tell us what happened! Are you OK???

daisyandbabybootoo · 18/07/2007 21:35

it is not possible for this child to feed any more...I don't know where she's putting it.

daisyandbabybootoo · 18/07/2007 21:36

LOL foxy, if you don't know what to do ther's little hope for the rest of us

derlor · 18/07/2007 21:37

yup hotmail, hang on i've got a yahoo email too i'll try now...........Ok i've sent it try now??

foxybrown · 18/07/2007 21:42

Oh I don't know!

Have arranged to meet a friend for coffee tomorrow morning, am not sure I'm going to be able to get out before 10.30. I need routine!

I think I'm going to say goodnight now.

Holly, hope things are OK and you aren't having a huge stress out. Am taking it as a good sign that you are on here and aren't screaming/crying/packing or all of the above!

derlor · 18/07/2007 21:44

can't your friend just come over to yours and share your big cake?

derlor · 18/07/2007 21:46

daisy it's just been returned to me saying you don't have a yahoo account???? are you daisyboo at yahoo dot co dot uk?

dm1 · 18/07/2007 21:47

Daisy - think I'm going to try some sort of routine aswell.
Have hd crap crap crap day with dd. The only awake time she's either been feeding fussily or crying. Sleeping has onl happened whilst being held or on in sling.
Want to do routine but never want to keep her waiting for food.
Is making me tearful as is the crappy film on 5 at the mo.

daisyandbabybootoo · 18/07/2007 21:48

no....daisybump.....aha, we have found the problem!!

Dm..sounds like my day. I refuse to let it get me down though!

foxybrown · 18/07/2007 21:50

Sorry to hear you've had a shitty day Dm1. Tomorrow will hopefully be better. That's one thing you can say for lo's - no two days are the same

Hope you get some decent sleep.
