Correct me if I'm wrong people, but there is sth about that thread which is just not right.

geordiemacminx · 16/07/2007 15:54

mammyjo, i havent but c is only 11 weeks on friday. Although as i said earlier i have started giving him tiny tastes of things like potato - onl half a little finger nail though, no smarties or fruit shoots just yet...

JoMa · 16/07/2007 16:15

feeling very
just collected Matthew from nursery, the manager was chatting to me and queried whether I'd received a letter last week. The baby room leader is on Mat Leave, they had a phone call on thursday from her husband to say the baby had died she went overdue and when she went to be checked there was no heartbeat. she's such a lovely girl, was matthews main worker at his first nursery, then transfered to this one quite recently. so sad.

geordiemacminx · 16/07/2007 16:25

that is so so sad. i unfortunately know 3 people that it has happened too, one cos of diabetes, the other 2 they have no idea why. it worried me a lot during pregnancy.

JoMa · 16/07/2007 16:28

the nursery are really struggling to know what to do now. she kinda kept herself to herself and hadn't been there very long, so they feel they should be there for her buut don't know how to be. I can't see her ever returning to work, certainly not in the baby room.

twinkle183 · 16/07/2007 16:43

Thanks guys for all your well wishes - no its a perm move and we had to find somewhere for us to go ourselves - lucky though the MOD do pay for your moving costs, which is good! I just hate moving so thought I would moan!! Sorry

If anyone is on msn - I would love to be added or add them to mine - I am [email protected] - would love to chat when i have time to get on!!!

Take care guys

normabutty · 16/07/2007 16:47

Very about the baby room leader.

Twinkle have added you!

normabutty · 16/07/2007 16:49

and can anyone shed some light on why Erin is making a constant grooooooooaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnning noise

maveta · 16/07/2007 16:55

Oh JoMa that´s so sad How awful.

Mammyjo, no, not even remotely thinking about weaning but N is only 11 weeks old and seems happy with breastmilk so I´ve got no impetus to try anything else. He did start waking in the night for a whole week a couple of weeks ago, was feeding every 3 hours day and night the whole week but then suddenly went back to his 4 hourly feeds and almost sleeping through the night so he was obviously upping my supply so I would keep up with what he needed, is it possible that´s what´s happening? I think Octo has started weaning though so you could ask her how it´s going, I think well

Emmymummy and AngeG - Don´t say the ´D´ word! you both have stronger willpower than me, that´s for sure.

Twinkle - what mad news re. your house! hope you are receiving help of some kinjd from mod

poor n is finding it hard to cope with the heat i think, poor thing..so tired, hot an grumpy..

maveta · 16/07/2007 17:10

x-posts twinkle, glad they´re footing the bill even though it is a major pain.

Well I always seem to be on at quiet times lately so I´m going to go again, will try and sort out msn if that´s where the action is at these days..

Chat later.. off to mum´s so I can watch some crap tv while she holds the baby

oooggs · 16/07/2007 18:44

maveta at your beach photos

mammyjo, twinkle & emmymummy - I have added you to my msn list

mammyjo - I have started weaning dt's 3 days now, just porridge at teatime. Jack thinks its a game and laughs at the spoon

thought about leaving my 3 delightfuls and dh and I jetting around the world for 6 months - anyone able to have them - don't mind if they get passed on every couple of weeks - just all think about it and get back to me - did mean to do it as soon as they were born but wanted to loose a bit of weight first so didn't look too scarey in my bikini.

eddas - hope you had a good day at the graduation

joMa - awful news

Pinions - know what you mean - all reads a bit dodgy - she is on my mental list of mners I would like to meet

Pinions · 16/07/2007 18:52

Really oooggs!, she does sound mad as a hatter a doctor too apparently???

Pinions · 16/07/2007 18:54

And, as everyone else has said ellie, it is awful news about lady at nursery.

Pinions · 16/07/2007 18:55

DS1 is having his first ever shower! Can hear him singing to himself lol!!!!

elkiedee · 16/07/2007 19:02

Hi all, have been lurking lots today but reading more than posting - every time my brain clicks into gear to post Danny wakes up or decides it's time for a snack or something.

Re Mozhe's Caribbean holiday, I'm shocked too, especially from my own experience, and Danny was much less ill.

Ellie, good luck sorting your house out. Sad news indeed about your nursery worker. A devastating thing to happen to anyone, but for someone whose career is to work with babies, I can't imagine.

Twinkle, being forced to move with a baby and another young child is really hard luck. I hope you find somewhere better than where you are now to make up for the aggravation.

I have had several further interruptions while typing this, so please excuse any cross posting and failure to keep up with the conversation!

elkiedee · 16/07/2007 19:05

I also find it extraordinary that someone would not only go on holiday leaving baby in SCBU, but that they'd start a thread telling everyone on Mumsnet. I mean, if you did something which might be open to criticism, wouldn't you just keep quiet about it, rather than boasting?

Pinions · 16/07/2007 19:10

Thats what I meant by something not really being right, don't know a great deal about her, it sounds like a fraud to me!

CaptainDippy · 16/07/2007 19:23

Troll perhaps?? Not sure - terrible thing to do though, imho!

Soooooo about your Baby room Leader @ nursery JM. Impossible to know what to say / do .... just so incredibly tragic.

Gosh.

Kinda puts things in perspective, doesn't it!!?

Like my two currently completely bouncing off the bloody walls ...... Grrrr!

Ahem.

Right, have a stack of stuff to do so best get on, but will pop by later on .....

Still haven't quite figured out MSN.

Pinions · 16/07/2007 19:35

Sorry to keep on barging in, BUT I cannot let my mind settle.

Have read the thread and have decided as have others that Mozhe is the figment of someones imagination.

CaptainDippy · 16/07/2007 19:40

Let's hope so cos I think what she is proposing to do is ludicrious!!

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 16/07/2007 19:40

.... and I have experienced NNIC / SCBU!!!!!!

Pinions · 16/07/2007 19:49

It is dippy.

mammyjoMcGonagall · 16/07/2007 21:24

Mmm, very strange thing to do. Ds was in SCBU for 11 days. They had to force me out of there to go home to sleep let alone to bugger off on holiday. Most odd.

JoMa, so sad about the nursery worker. Cant imagine how anyone could even start to deal with that.

Katy44 · 16/07/2007 21:32

If she's genuine it's very sad, surely she can't be thinking straight

AngeG · 16/07/2007 21:34

Evening Ladies,

JoMa - Sorry sorry about the Nursery Worker at Matthew's Nursery. It's just so

I too have read the Mohze thread...I really hope it is a figment of someone's imagination...I'm not normally one to judge, but to do what she has suggested is awful. DS was in SCBU for 3weeks and I spend almost every waking moment there and tbh couldn't imagine doing anything different.

Hope everyone is ok.

Octo - Still thinking of your MIL, hope she's recovering well.
