no they're the sandy's which come in different sizes. Motherease do some one size nappies but i have to say i prefer the sandys.

normabutty · 09/07/2007 10:25

but the onelife ones might be different...I have sandys and a MEOS...Octo will be able to tell you about the one life ones!

eca · 09/07/2007 10:27

my head is spinning already...

normabutty · 09/07/2007 10:31

Morning all! Just popping in to say hi as all is calm here - O sleeping, N off for her morning visit to 'big school'! Sadly as I am an overemotional wuss, I was the only mother who cried as they all trooped off into the classroom - what am I going to be like come 5 September?!?

We had a lovely week off with DH last week, although weather was pants. Survived the Natural History Museum (who ever thought that was a good idea ), and went to the zoo etc. I bottled out of the nighttime training though as weather was so crap, and the whole point of doing it this summer was for sheets to dry in no time.

Feel like all is kicking off on the work front again as I am getting calls most days, and in theory I'm still supposed to have 2.5 more weeks of maternity leave. It feels a bit like back to real life with a thump, but I know it will be fine once I've got started.

No time to catch up on very much, but hope everyone is well, and the babies are beaming, bouncing and sleeping! We got Orla's cot down yesterday as she is now far too big for the moses basket, and it looks sooooo big. Haven't even dared to put her in it yet, but will probably do so tonight. I'm hoping it will make a difference to my sleep as she will be in the room next door, and she is very snuffly/grunty!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 09/07/2007 10:53

Morning all.

Good luck to those with jabs today.

Dooby, lovely to see you, and that you are living upto your chat name!

Come on Octo, we need something to get excited about!

All ok here. Had to wake K again at 8.00 and B cam in at 8.00 too. Dh had forgotten to set the alarm so we all had an unplanned lie in! K is now sleeping again - seems very tired today so hoping she isn't coming down with summat.

Emmy, I can't remememer who took photos. I know I didn't as we didn't have a replacement camera by then. Would be good to see some. Feels an age ago since we met up.

Nothing planned today which is a bit boring. May go to M&S and buy some school uniform for B.

Hope everyone has a lovely day. x

Hello Again

Still trying to sort out photos...snap Dippy and Eca, we were married 5 years in March can't believe it's been that long.

I think Ellie took the photos at our meet up.

Nice lie in SOKL - have to say J woke Izzy up at 8ish because he wanted to give her a kiss

Bramshott - glad you had a good week with DH shame about the weather

Sexonknackeredlegs · 09/07/2007 11:24

Hi Ange!

This weather is PANTS!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 09/07/2007 11:26

Bramshott, meant to say glad you had a good week even though the weather wasn't up to much. I take it you didn't enjoy the Natural History Museum???

AngeG · 09/07/2007 11:43

Sunny here atm SOKL, has been raining though

Kneehighinnappies · 09/07/2007 11:48

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I'm all alone for the rest of the week. GULP!

Yesterday wasn't too bad as the weather was alright but if it changes I see me and dd1 falling out, she is such a PITA a typical toddler, tantrums all over the place.
SHE IS DOING MY HEAD IN!
I can't entertain her she doesn't want to do anything, she just want to dissagree with me all the time!

Is it saturday yet?????

Hey oooggs do you find yourself comparing your DT's?
I keep thinking that Lola is really under weight as Zed is such a little chunky monkey.
And naughty mummy I am I keep thinking that one dt is slower than the other. (it changes from day to day which one)

Anyway I must head off I have to go and try to do something with dd1 (possibly throw her into the garden and lock the door)

Hope you are all well.

CaptainDippy · 09/07/2007 11:58

ARGH - just wrote super post & DD1 has just clicked on mouse & deleted it!!!!!!!

Rah!!

Good to "see" Bramshott on here anyway - can't remember what else I wrote.

Happy to chat nappies with you Eca - captain_dippy "at" yahoo "dot" co "dot" uk - Don't wanna bore people on the thread too much so email me any Q's etc you might have.

Glad the doidy Cups are arriving!

DD1 has just reliably informed me she needs a wee, so I said "go to the toilet". She is now stood in front of the toilet saying: "I can't find the toilet, I can't find the toilet." Deary me .....

Can't BELIEVE she deleted my post!!

Yes, I think it was E who took photos at Meet-Up ..... I'll text her & see if she's got any good 'uns to post on here for us!

CaptainDippy · 09/07/2007 11:59

Poor you KH - have you got any help / support nearby .... you are a v.brave lady - proud of you!!

CaptainDippy · 09/07/2007 12:02

Come on Octo .........

CaptainDippy · 09/07/2007 12:12

Anyone want to buy a 3.5 yr old female? 50p (inc P&P)???

Sexonknackeredlegs · 09/07/2007 12:18

Oh CD, pmsl at your dd1.

KHIN, good to see you. Hope you cope this week - sounds a nightmare.

Seems all older dd's are being a pita atm then! Perhaps we could do a bulk sale!

elkiedee · 09/07/2007 12:28

Hi all, Danny's nodded off mid feed again and I'm wondering whether I dare move him/where to if so. My dad apparently plans to get in touch, wish he'd do so and let me know if he wants to come round or meet up/whatever - he's more than welcome but I think I should motivate myself to get us out of the house or do something in it, and I find it hard to plan when I'm waiting to hear from other people.

Sorry to hear daughters are being challenging, CD, love your daughter's line about not being able to find the toilet.

octo · 09/07/2007 12:41

CD - would you consider a swap for a ds2 age 4? Will email you later when have more time.

Have been to baby massage this am - really lovely - but the last one - so we are going to meet up at eachothers houses from now on which is cool.

No - still no bravery here!

Have to go pick up ds2 from playgroup then go to recycling as have just filled my C8 to the roof with stuff!!!

Eca - who is your lollipop advisor? (nosey!) I would suggest trying the nappies on, working out which nappies suit your lifestyle best and what your budget is. A onesize like onelife will take you to potty training, a stuffable are easy to use esp for dhs, fleece is good for dry bottoms and ask if their is a real nappy incentive near you. Let us know how you get on!

leakyR · 09/07/2007 12:46

Afternoon!

Only read today's posts so no idea what you guys have been upto. Has Octo done a test yet?

CD your dd sounds like a character! Hope this afternoon is better.

I've been for a run the last 2 mornings Race for Life panic has set in. It's on Sunday, I'm hoping to be able to run more than I walk

G slept for 7hrs in a row on saturday night! However last night ils were going to put him to bed so that DH and I could go to pub (last chance as ils go to France today). Went out at9 got in at 11pm and G was yelling his head off. MIL couldn't resist playing with him at bedtime as he was being cute and smiley. Rookie mistake - overstimulation at bedtime = hysterical baby. Anyway he was back to 4hrs/feed/2hrs/feed/2hrs/playtime again!

He's woken from snooze. So bye for now.

elkiedee · 09/07/2007 13:07

khin hope you survive this spell alone, it sounds very hard. are there any activities where you can take all 3 of them?

LeakyR, good luck with training for the Race for Life. I was thinking last week that sponsored walk someone posted on here accidentally about might be quite fun, but Birmingham's a bit far, and central London's rather beyond walking distance from here.

I've swapped prams and been shown how to fold this one up, the other one I had is an "all-terrain" buggy and is going to live in Ilkley so it can be used for walking babies across the moors - do you think my mum's hoping for more grandchildren?

And I'm test-driving the new one on a walk into Wood Green - local shopping high street with a reasonable selection of chain stores and pound shops - this afternoon, to get out of the house, meet dad, and exchange a present to Danny for a bigger size at Mothercare.

CaptainDippy · 09/07/2007 13:43

Octo. In a word. No.

CaptainDippy · 09/07/2007 13:45

Have sent DD1 for a rest as she was doing my nut in so badly. Have just finished lunch with DD2 & nipped upstairs to post here. What a surprise - she has followed me. Good grief. I CANNNOT EVEN PEE IN PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahem.

Sorry about that.
