Daisy- Things aren't too bad in my igloo , baby pingu still feeding like a good 'un, aka for gours at a time, refusing to be put down, sleeping in my bed etc....but I've simply resigned myself to my fate! hehe!

kittykat77 · 10/07/2007 21:51

Hi all,

Have not had time to post for another couple of weeks! DH now back at work and I am into my 3rd week with the 2 kids at home on my own, and managing to struggle through somehow. Finding that getting out every day keeps me sane at the moment, especially when both kids are crying!

Quick question for those on formular - does anyone know how soon periods should return when not BF? DS 6.5 wks now and still no sign. Wondering if this is normal (BF DD for 2 months last time, so obviously took longer!)

riabutterflew · 10/07/2007 22:38

Hi, just caught up. Well done JBM, congratulations!

Back tomorrow. Rx

Seansgirl · 10/07/2007 22:50

WELL DONE ANNOBAL!

Come on Foxy...are you sure you are actually pregnant?

Hope everyone is well today... I am good, just tired, S is dead set on drinking 1/2 bottle every 2 hours instead of a full bottle every 4 at the moment, grrrrr

daisyandbabybootoo · 11/07/2007 07:56

Well Done Annobal and welcome Charlie.

Big Congratulations

I've had a great sleep

She slept through her nappy change at 9:45...I put her down, I was in bed by 10:15......next thing I know she's squawking and it was just before 4:00am That was 6.5 whole hours

I hope I'm not speaking too sooon, but I think we've turned a corner.....

daisyandbabybootoo · 11/07/2007 08:00

Oh...hi SG...you doing allright?...you've been a bit quiet for a few days!

Is there no news from mytwocents? can't remember who her text buddy is but i'm sure she'll update us soon.

charlie999 · 11/07/2007 08:07

Hi everyone - this thread is getting really busy now - taking me ages to get upto date! I haven't had a moment to post recently but big congrats to all new mums.

My DD is nearly 6 weeks old now and can hardly remember life without her or what it's like to have a whole nights sleep

Do babies have a growth spurt about this time? I am FF and DD has been taking 5-6oz every 4 hours the past 2 days (would normally be 5oz every 5-6 hours). Also had trouble putting her down - within 10 minutes she is screaming again and then zonks in my arms - getting used to being cuddled? Am I making a rod for my own back?

Kitty - my AF came exactly 28 days after having DD - just as I had been on mini-pill for 2 days and was protected again - DH was not impressed .

daisyandbabybootoo · 11/07/2007 09:24

hi charlie....they keep you busy, don't they?

Yes they have a growth spurt at about 5-6 weeks. she should settle down again in a few days, but you might find she needs more milk at each feed.

I don't think you can cuddle a small baby too much. Babyboo has been really clingy for the last couple of days too. It's a pain cos I can't get anything done, but then again it's quite lovely cos I can't get anything done

bumperlicious · 11/07/2007 09:25

Great news annobal!

Morning all, how are those milk monsters?

Ok, last night we tried the 'breast crawl' with DD and she did it see this thread for details - god it was amazing how she did it. I felt bad making her have to work so hard for a feed but she found the breast and latched on perfectly! God, I can't tell you how amazing it was to watch!
