Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

pre Dh all my previous BFs were related to each other - now that was awkward at parties!

Met DH AFTER a night out with my mates (he was walking home from the kebab shop) they had left me behind cos I was busy snogging a dodgy bloke and DH lent me cash for a taxi home. Went to give him the cash back about a month later after I ditched the previous stalker BF and a brief dalliance with a bloke at work who was married (he claimed she beat him up... I was very gullible) and the rest is history, we got married 3 months later and are still together (due to my lack of effort to move on and marry a millionaire) 11 years later. Awww. BTW I didn't shag them all.

Sorry I can't help with the colic. Have you tried holding LO in front of you with their back against your tummy, one hand holiding them around their front under the bum and the other sort of across their chest, their head supported by your chest and rock, sway or bounce. It's hard to describe but sometimes helps.

riabutterflew · 06/07/2007 19:51

At least you apologise to your DCs foxy! Nitex

foxybrown · 06/07/2007 19:58

3 months later - wow. Just goes to show, when its right, its right

trendaverter · 06/07/2007 20:11

Foxy I thought you were going to bed? tch!
S is asleep....ooh my cheap and cheerful colic remedies seem to be doing the trick...

foxybrown · 06/07/2007 20:20

Had a bath, beans on toast and a couple of paracetemol (am full of a farking cold). Eastenders is on. Meltdown over, children still love me . They are all asleep.

I'll be coming back to you TA on your colic remedies! We are lucky to have so much expertise on here!

trendaverter · 06/07/2007 20:24

Yes there is a wealth of knowledge here - wouldn't have coped without MN! - however I can take no credit for colic remedies, all I did was ask my mum and HV for help!

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 06/07/2007 20:25

Hooray, Alice has fallen asleep with her bottle! Phew! That was one looooooooong day!

There's one way to cure a cold foxy- have a baby! Go on, you know you want to!

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/07/2007 20:35

If I'd found MN when I was miserably trying to BF DS 5 years ago.....

......I might still be doing it today

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 06/07/2007 20:37

lol at bfing mystic red ranger! You could walk around next to each other with him on the nork!

foxybrown · 06/07/2007 20:38

Had a proper 'big' show today. Eurgh! Means nothing I know, but something has moved! Am still 2-3 cm.

Its definately going to happen tonight - I changed my bedsheets today!

foxybrown · 06/07/2007 20:39

He could just help himself.

Ewwww!

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 06/07/2007 20:41

Yes it'll def happen tonight if you have clean bedsheets! Make sure you are wearing nice jammies too!

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/07/2007 20:44

LOL...MRR was asking what BM tasted like, so I asked if he wanted to try some (EBM obviously), and the look of abject horror that crossed his face before he kicked off in big tantrummy stylee....he thought I meant did he want a suck

foxybrown · 06/07/2007 20:45

A red VW MPV has been sat in our drive for the last 30 mins, with a woman in the front and 2 small boys. Man is doing something with copper piping somewhere.

The drive is directly outside our living room window and she is staring in, ignoring my gesturing of "WTF??"

Am going to shout at them now.

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 06/07/2007 20:47

Go on foxy, tell the gypos to get off your land!

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 06/07/2007 20:48

MRR is going to be scarred for life now!

foxybrown · 06/07/2007 20:50

Did you send them???

GERROFFMYLAAAANNND!

Very pointedly closed my living room curtains as they are staring in HOW FUCKING RUDE. Only then did he come and tell me he's working next door. DP due home very soon. Told them to park on the road FFS!

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 06/07/2007 20:55

How rude! Esp as it's obv that you are in! Give them a two fingered salute!

foxybrown · 06/07/2007 21:08

There's a 'how pregnant are you' thread.

No one has beat my & Justbeme 41 weeks yet. It is very, very depressing! OK, its not a competition, but .

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/07/2007 21:12

We get people coming into our cul-de-sac all the time thinking they can take a short cut as one of the street name signs doesn't show its a cul-de-sac. They always, but always, use our drive to turn in and it bloody well pisses me off. Can't wait till DH gets around to putting up some gates.

Foxy...I thought you were off to be hours ago? Any twinges tonight or am I not allowed to ask you that.

You're going to have the baby tomorrow aren't you, when I'm not around to take part in your live birth thread...

Oh, I tried on the original trousers I bought (which are the right length) to make sure they were ok with my heels for adjusting the second pair to the same length.......and I got the button in . They are a bit tight (ie the inside button pinged off) but they're linen so will loosen off...so no sewing required as i couldn't find any instant hem stuff.

Watch this space as the bloody things rip up the arse seam when I bend over tomorrow . I think I'll take a spare pair with me just in case!!

foxybrown · 06/07/2007 21:14

Am really off now!

Have a lovely day tomorrow Daisy! Enjoy it, and don't over do the fizz!

No twinges, no nothing - which I am happy about. Need a good sleep. Tomorrow daytime would be good!

Night everyone xx

foxybrown · 06/07/2007 21:16

Oh, BadZelda is it your birthday tomorrow??

BadZelda · 06/07/2007 21:51

It is indeed Foxy - and my year of power...34 on 07/07/07...that's a lot of sevens!

bumperlicious · 06/07/2007 22:05

Well daisy, must be the pregnancy thing as I've never been called 'sweet' before. And no I didn't road test them then hand them round [indignant emoticon]! Though I did offer good advice based on my own experience ! I'm a crap salewoman though and so much of the stuff was just crap that I didn't do very well, plus it was around the time I fell pg.

And while we are talking about qualifications (ok, you aren't anymore!) I have a bloody master's degree and DH has a BSc and he works in a shop and I work for the civil service and we are pretty poor Bloody waste of an education!
