Don't you just love being got up before 6 and tantrummed at for half an hour before 7:30 in the morning .

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/06/2007 08:00

Oh dear flame. Sounds like we're both having bad days then. I also get pissed off when dh doesn't do dishes in the evening whilst I'm putting dd to bed (when he's here, obv). I come down and find him on his computer, and have to nag him all night to do them (answer is always 'yes I'll do them in a minute/after I finish this game'), which he might reluctantly do just before bed (usually making him later to come to bed). He just can't seem to get that I can't relax for the evening where there are jobs that have to be done, no matter how many times I tell him.

Spirit in the Sky actually winds me up (over played at the time I feel), but I do remember male stripper. Recognise the Rah Band title, but will have to listen to a snippet later to remember the tune.

2boysmacca · 28/06/2007 08:18

4.30 wake up call for us I'm afraid, got up at 5.30 after sending boys upstairs to play trains . ds kept a running commentary on how ds2 was behaving!

Off to do the school run and then for a nice relaxing coffee!

mustrunmore · 28/06/2007 08:31

but I am listening to Black Sabbath in the kitchen too!

The thingh about this ipod malarky is that you dont want to stop it and go to bed

We were up early, as dh left for work at 4.20 and woke the boys up (ds1 had crept into our bed anyway, about 3am)

Frizbe · 28/06/2007 09:29

MRM for that horrible early get up...
CSWS for the tantrum
Flame at your dh for you
at your carpet kel, hope you get it sorted
Macca for your early wake up too
CS hope your boy is feeling better today?
Phoenix, yay for getting paid from work on Friday, and for the flooding.

so does anyone remember where I've put our vat return? has to be in by the end of the month, I did it and gave it to dh to sign about 3 weeks ago and he says he gave it back to me, unsigned and said he'd do it at end of month.....can't find it now

mustrunmore · 28/06/2007 10:21

Ah, vat return. That'll be in a toybox somewhere then. Or gone in the recycling by mistake.

Guess what Frizbe? The dvd copy that didnt work the other day , now , miraculously, does! Addy please so I can return the original. I could guess, from the jiffy bag, but I'm not sure I can read the postcode 100% right, and I dont want to risk it1

WE HAVE A TESCO DELIVERY!!!!!! Came 1/2 hour early. And only 5 unavailable and 2 subs Despite me always putting 'dont substitute anything' But we can eat a real meal now

Flame · 28/06/2007 10:34

Yya for real meal eating.

Letter has arrived - landlord inspection next Thurs ... That means we have to blitz the house!

damewashalot · 28/06/2007 13:09

Not read sorry if missed stuff, had bad morning, took ds3 for mmr and ended up staying for an hour as he went odd crying was I don't know how to explain but wrong, not him at all then he went limp in my arms and eyes rolled up into head. The nurse lept up and opened the door, shouted to nurse outside to "get in here NOW" by which time he had opened his eyes but was still crying in an odd way but was alert again, he slowly stopped crying someone went to get a dr who said as he's perked up I will look at him in an hour so there we sat.
tHE NURSES WERE LOVELY AND THE ONE WHO JABBED HIM KEPT SAYING SORRY oops even though it wasn't her fault. within about 20-30 mins he was munching choc buttons and pottering around and seems completely fine.
I'm not fine, scared me stupid.
So we think was a shock type reaction, dr said like when an older child might faint.
I'm on my own with them tonight as DH is in London.

Feel better now I've poured all that out, going to snuggle on the sofa with him and his milk now, sorry for the ramble bit stressed
I may be around tonight as am on my own, bet you will all be elsewhere

BTW I have new washing machine

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/06/2007 13:24

Oh dear dame - that does sound scary. Hope he is ok now and doesn't get any further reaction to the jab. I expect I'll be on tonight, although dh does come home this evening, so poss not all night!

Well my day hasn't been getting any better. Do you think they are too young yet to use the naughty step occasionally, for serious offences only?! Tried it this morning and she was practically kicking the stair gate off its hinges (the only place i can contain her is on the stairs).

Also had to remove her lunch before she had finished because she was very pointedly throwing handfuls of food at me/around kitchen.

Have now thankfully put her to bed for a bit so that she can hopefully wake up less miserable. She sooooo needs to sleep more at night than she has been recently (macca - I bet even with your early morning your boys still slept longer than dd!).

Yay for shopping. It's fun to accept subs - then you can go through the list when it arrives and just reject the ones you don't want. Mind you, Tesco are totally crap at subs. Waitrose are much better, and only charge you for the cheaper item if they sub something more expensive.

Jas - what was your mysterious post about last night please? You can't make a comment like that and then not explain it.

Flame · 28/06/2007 13:28

I know

Dame -

Realised what my outburst was for ... periods have been getting more and more in tune with the moon - full moon on 30th (I think). Hormones r us!

Flame · 28/06/2007 13:29

Oh - and go for it with the naughty step. I started with DD at this age. I've tried with DS but the little sh- darling just laughs and runs away , or just laughs and plays where he's been put.

ChasingSquirrels · 28/06/2007 14:50

flame - grr at dh, and completely know the feeling, but while it may seem as if it would be easier if you were on your own - in reality, the not having someone else to share it with, to turn to, etc etc would be alot harder. I think what you describe is fairly normal for lots of people, doesn't make it great, but something maybe you can both work on. Do you HAVE to take him to work - could he bike? I am presuming you do it so you can have the car - do you need the car EVERY day? I am probably not helping now...
csws - I am presuming it was pippa tantrumming not your dh!
macca & mrm - yawn at a 4.30am wake-up.
frizbe - vat return filed away somewhere safe.
dame - scary on the jabs, I faint when I have jabs if I'm not lying down - wierdly i'm not bothered about them, but just pass out. so the shock reaction sounds reasonable, but v scary.
ds2 awake in the night and wouldn't settle, so I ended up on the mattress on his floor with him, he rolled off and slept on the floor. ds2 woke up at 5am with the runs (nice), he had been the loo, cleared himself up and got clean pj bottoms, and then went to cuddle in bed with me - and there was no one there - so he started crying for me . Unfortunately that woke ds2 up, so took them both in with me, fed ds2 and all back to sleep until 6.35am when my alarm went off and
woke us all up - and then realised ds1 had suffered more runs (I can't spell the proper word - lol). He had another bout, luckily in the loo this time, before I went to work and has been ok since, though a bit worn out.

KelBelle · 28/06/2007 14:54

Sorry I didnt stick about last night - my damn computer keeps freezing out of the internet and I am lucky to be on here now!! I called Virgin and I need an engineer to come out and first appointment will be Monday so I may be here - may not be!!

I was up at 6.30am today with DS, he has been grumpy today too. CSWS - I really think the terrible twos start early you know.

Dame - That was a very scary incident with your DS, hope he is ok now.

Flame at your DH - just get rid of all the DH's we dont need them!!! My divorce papers came through today, just need to sign and return and we are on our way. I'm still very about the whole thing though.

DS is asleep I think I'm therefore going to make the mot of it and have a nap whilst he does. Hopefully I will see you all back here later on (internet permitting)

Flame · 28/06/2007 15:00

Aww for your DS2 CS.

We have no bike, hence the lack of cycling to work (he is meant to be selling his parking permit back to the hospital for a cycling grant, but that would involve him getting off his f*ckin arse and doing it - along with phoning vodaphone to find out why they are still taking money, oh, and going to the bank to find out what "accident protection" is and why they take money out every bloody month ).

I need the car to get DD to preschool and home - its a 30 min walk there and back, which seems a tad harsh on her little legs.

Kel - but too... first day of the rest of your life kind of thing.

ChasingSquirrels · 28/06/2007 15:03

duh - ds1 with the runs - obviously ds2 wouldn't be getting himself changed etc!
have you tried freecycle for a bike?
accident protection will be insurancem like life but for accidents.

Flame · 28/06/2007 15:09

We don't know how we got it, or what the cover is etc!

I knew you meant DS2... and still typed DS1

mustrunmore · 28/06/2007 16:37

Jas, how come /Flame knows and I dont? Are you swopping houses as they dont need such a big one? Not sure why that was my inital idea.

Flame · 28/06/2007 16:43

I got it in the round up (sorry Jas... was excited about having knowledge )

Jas · 28/06/2007 16:58

Tis ok. I will tell in RL, I just don't want it online as I'm worried about it all failing to happen., plus there are lots of decisions to make first. No house swap mrm (they live in Norwich) but that was csws' guess, too.

I shouldn't really have said anything, but I'm all excited and rubbish at keeping secrets.

Flame · 28/06/2007 17:03

Me too apparently

Frizbe · 28/06/2007 17:04

Come on the Jas

CS for the runs last night, how's he been today? sorry for the lack of sleep you got too.

Dame re the jab, hope the little man is ok now onwards. Very scarey.

CSWS I use naughty poof at the moment, as dd2 will sit on it in shock at being told off still, but dd1 was and still is a stair girl, usually accompanied by wailing, kicking etc. Once I can gurantee dd2 won't do a runner up them, she'll be on the stairs too

MRM/CS and anyone else who cares to know! I found the VAT return pity it has to be in by monday though, and there is a postal strike tomorrow, and dh hasn't signed a cheque for it yet fine coming our way me thinks Was in a safe drawer, phew.

Frizbe · 28/06/2007 17:05

that was meant to say then Jas, but you've posted saying your not going to tell

ChasingSquirrels · 28/06/2007 17:21

Frizbe, sign up for doing them online, no need to post and i think you get longer to pay. doesn't help you this time, But post it tonight/tomorrow and it should be there sat/mon so you should be ok. unless you have been late in the recent past.

Jas · 28/06/2007 17:22

I will share at the piss up

Dame - How is he now? You must have been so scarerd.

I've never done the naughty step thing, but will need something with ds I think. At the moment I tell him off in my cross voice , put him away from me and refuse eye contact. (Usually the problem is him biting me)
