Hello all!
Have had laptop trauma for what seems like weeks again (can't find dial tone apparently ) but really wanted to come on today, can't believe Jess is 2 ! She's having a lovely day, we got her a little Dora trike, her bottom has been glued to it all morning Have got family coming round this afternoon and still haven't got a birthday cake sorted - job for dp this afternoon!
Have had a quick skim of posts, so sorry to hear about your grandad and resulting family problems Nova Hope things go ok at the funeral. Hope Noo has a lovely 2nd birthday on Monday if I don't get back on before then
Sympathies to you and your family too Twinkle
Beks, thanks for the card You are kind (and bloody organised too!) I always think about sending, sometimes even buy the card but it never gets too the recipient and makes home up stuffed behind the pasta jar in the kitchen (Which has been put there because it's next to the back door and I'll remember to send it )
Diege, LOL at Libby on the dolls potty! Ooh it is getting closer to PT time for us! I'm going to leave it for a few months but try to have it sorted before 2 and a half as my children seem to turn into obstinate tantrumming devil children and all kind of training seems impossible! Hope DH had a fab time in NY, too!
Brownie LOL at your Noddy addict ! And Sky+ing it, haha!
Chacha, Happy travels too you! And Happy Eid, still a bit clueless about other religious festivals, I should really read up or get Bella to tell me, she's always telling (teaching is probably a more accurate description!) really interesting stuff she's learning at school
Londoner, hope you are well LOl at earwigs! That really stood out for me as that always happens to me too and I find them really scary! I have to get Bella or Joe to catch them for me! Still running, thanks for asking Did the Golden Gates 5 mile run a few weekends ago in 52 mins, was really tough and I cried over the finish line vowing I wasn't going to enter a race again Such a drama queen!
Right better post before I loose it, am on BIL's tempremental broadband, will hopefully be back online soon, really missing you all! Getting my dad to have a look tonight, as me and dp are a bit clueless with things like this, Bye for now! x x x

Hello! Sneaking on, Hello Rodeo good to see you, and you too BB.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESS!

.. I remember your announcement like it was yesterday Rodeo, 2 years ago, can't believe it! Hope you have a wonderful wonderful day. Thanks for the solidarity re: the earwigs, ewww, they make me think of cockroaches and have to be squuuuuuuuashed and binned immediately! Congrats on the 5 mile run, and I'm not surprised you sobbed, blimey, good for you!

Yes, Happy Eid to you tomorrow ChaCha in case I don't get on.

Good to hear you sounding a bit more chipper in your last post Nova, keep that chin above water if you can.

Hi Beks.

Hello to everyone else too!

Londoner · 10/10/2007 15:19

That was meant to be a thanks to all of you on the solidarity front by the way, you all made me laugh with your comments.

Diege · 10/10/2007 20:18

Many happy returns to the birthday girl!! Have picture in my mind of Jess furiously pedalling along! How time had flown - really can't believe it's been (more than) two years since we all hooked up! Happy Eid to CHACHA - I too have lost track of your travel plans, but try and keep in touch wherever you are! Hi BB, BEKS, LONDONER, TWINKLE, GG!! Ewwwww!!! at earwigs - never had that problem myself, although I did find a stinky dead fisn in my duvet cover . Our washinbg line is next to the canal, and I assume a fish flipped out of the water and into the washing ; either that or a malicious neighbour put it there!
Sympathies to you NOVA - sounds like a very difficult situation..agree about possibily confiding in dh?Easier said than done though, esp. if it's as complicated a family situiation as it seems (and you've not told him from the beginning).
Well dh had a great time in New York, and is still very much on a 'high' from it all. Got some noice pressies too, as did the girls! . Looking forward to a relaxed working from home day tomorrow as I'm totally shattered! L is being extremely difficuot at the moment - clingy and screaming when we leave her at nursery, refusing anything that is handed to her (Me!! Mine!!!) from her toothbrush to a drink. Hates getting dressed/undressed, and is generally quite unpleasant to be around after a long day if m I'm honest..; still, all part of toddlerdom if I remember correctly!
Speak tomorrow - of to bed shortly!

Diege · 10/10/2007 20:18

No why didn't the bold work?

Diege · 10/10/2007 20:19

Yes, got it!! No spaces

Londoner · 10/10/2007 20:41

Hi Diege! Rofl at dead fish in washing and malicious neighbour, that's hilarious! Or perhaps it was your cat? Sympathies are with you on the toddler front, sounds really hard. I know that since I stopped bf Baby that I deffo have miles more difficult situations to deal with as well as it being part of a new phase. We have lots of screaming and NOOOOOOO and running off to stand in corners etc here aswell if it's any consolation, can't imagine how disheartening it must be to leave/collect a baby in this state at nursery each day, you must be drained. Sending you lots of strength {{{{{{{{{{{{. Any news on the Child Minder/someone to look after kids after school front? Or is this the unmentionable bridge too far atm? Hey guess what, it's nearly the weekend! Oh no, just realised it's not Friday tomorrow, doh, ChaCha, I meant that message for Friday........ here we go, just in case I'm still bonkers by the end of the week......this is for you.xx

Good night gorgeous girls and little ones!xxx

LaylaandSethsmum · 10/10/2007 21:44

Hello everyone
Hope you are all ok and babes are well and happy, ChaCha hope Z's poorly time settles soon.

Happy Birthday Jess It is unbelieveable that they have started turning 2 now, time really does fly when your having fun ( or being sleep deprived!)

Nova sorry to hear about your Grandad and the ensuing family nightmare, families can be just great can't they!?! I've not even really thought about potty training either with S, he knows when hes pooed although he usually denies it! But wee wise hes clueless, L was in pants at 2 am being lazy with this one!

LOL Diege at the fish in washing scenario, although I would have had a fit if it had been me, I have a massive phobia of fish, don't ask me why!

When asked what his name is now S will say " Lily" !! and his favourite colour is pink, hes always asking " Is that pink?"! A friend of mines son was similar and a woman in Clarks once said to her, while son was admiring a nice pink Dora bag, " Theres worse things he could be than gay you know!"
Crazy woman!!!

Have only bought 1 prez for S b'day so far, he wont be getting much from us as we're already bursting at the seams, as for christmas.....

Hello Beks, FH, Londoner GG and anyone else i've forgotten xxx

PS Is anyone on facebook? Or am I the only saddo!!

LaylaandSethsmum · 10/10/2007 21:45

Try again HappyBirthdayJess!!

Londoner · 11/10/2007 09:05

Hi girls!

A fo-ggy daaaaaay in London To-wn, la la la, wow, great fog here!

Hey L&S so good to see you post.

How's the 1 2 year old Rodeo? Hey isn't that dialling tone fixed yet?

Poorly coughing daughters at home this week, hope dd1 is feeling better in time for her b.day tomorrow.... mind you, it's amazing what a bit of adrenaline can do I reckon she'll be fine don't you? Washing curtains here today....... yep, it's a severe case of Cabin Fever lol. Love to all.x

Beksmum · 11/10/2007 12:38

Hi girld,

What great fog this morning, you can tell I'm a londoner, we don't get that very often do we. Played a great game with B and his friend this morning counting the cobwebs which were all sparkly, the boys thought it was great.

Rodeo good to see you post, hope to see more of you soon.

Londoner, hope K has a great b'day tomorrow, I'm sure the promise of clkae and presents will make her feel better.

L&S Good to see you post too, we've all been a bit hit and miss lately haven't we.

Diege crack up at the fish in your duvet, that is just hilarious, puts earwigs and spiders to shame

Right am supposed to be sorting out my dire finances so better shake a leg, love to all Beks

Beksmum · 11/10/2007 12:38

that should have been CAKE by the way, really must read my posts before hitting send!!!

feetheart · 12/10/2007 09:38

Oh no, I missed the first birthday - probably sets the tone for the rest of them though

Hope J (and the rest of you) had a lovely day.

YUCK to earwigs and dead fish, I've just had kitten pee recently We tried out a different cat litter and he didn't like it - I got the message rather quickly!!

Happy Eid ChaCha, wherever you are!! Hope you have a wonderful trip.

GreedyGecko · 13/10/2007 17:46

Hi all, sorry for not really keeping up with all your news properly.

Nova/Twinkle - my deepest sympathies sent to you both.

Rodeo - did J get her 'e-card'?

I've started the Parent Power classes last week, and in a couple of weeks start the 'Life Skills' PND group. One of the girls at work has done both and said they're really good and help loads.

Boys are at my parents all weekend, stayed last night and are there tonight, I slept til 1:30 today, and that was only because DP woke me up when he got home from picking the car up from work. (The grill keep forcing me to have drinks after work! , so cars been staying up there!)

Probably going to be out with dp tonight, been together 10 years today.

Beksmum · 14/10/2007 11:02

GG Good to see you post, congrats to you and your dp. How is he by the way?

Could you let me know more about those classes, I'd be interested in doing them if they are done up this way.

Hope everyone else is well, we're off to see the Shaolin Monks martial arts show today as part of dh's 40th b'day present, he'll be the big 40 tomorrow!!!

Diege · 14/10/2007 22:47

A going-up-to-bed hello! Hi GG! Agree with BEKS those classes sound great! Congrats on 10 year anniversary! BEKS: bet you had a fab time - that show is meant to be great! FH: ewww, kitten wee - I remember that one,but how cute having a kitten! I've been perstering for one, but tbh don't think old big cat would be too keen. We did get an extra 'pod' for nibbles the hamster today though to fit onto her 'starter home' - she is HUGE, like a big rat. At this rate she'll be living in a better place than us - still no offers in, despite plenty of 'carpet treaders' .
Here's to a good week ahead for us all - does LONDONER's dd have a birhtday or am I making it up?
Right, up to bed!

GreedyGecko · 15/10/2007 09:40

Happy birthday noo!

...and Mr Beks, and DP!

Beks - will give you a call later in the week.

I'm very proud of S. Bought him a new potty yesterday ( his old one broke, and I've been useless buying him a new one.) He got home from my mums yesterday afternoon, took one look at the potty, stripped off, sat on it & wee'd! This morning he got up and wee'd on it, then later he picked it up, took it off into the hallway, closed the door, then called me a few minutes later, he'd poo'd & wee'd in it! O was almost 3 before being out of nappies, so really wasn't expecting it yet, but it's great as hopefully he'll be out of nappies by the time he has his op (hopefullyend of the year).

Londoner · 15/10/2007 10:38

Hi all,

Good to see posts from you all.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOO!!!! Hope you have a lovely day.

Happy b.days too to Beks & GG dps!

Well done on the potty front GG's S and a belated big LOL to Diege's L about potties! ROFL!

Baby asleep on shoulder, got to go b4 arm drops off.........xx

feetheart · 15/10/2007 14:07

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOO
(Got it right after about the 5th attempt!)
Hope you all have a wonderful day,

Happy birthday to BEKS and GG DPs too - did you get to see the Shaolin Monks with the Chinese State Circus BEKS?

Hello to everyone else - kitten on lap trying to catch my fingers so not much typing going to be done!!

Beksmum · 15/10/2007 14:45

Hi girls

Happy Birthday Noo hope you have a fab day sweetheart.

Happy b'day to GG's dp too, hope you're having a good day too.
GG will look forward to a catch up and well done S on the potty training what a star

Thanks for the b'day wishes for my dh - he doesn't look a day over 39

FH we went to see the Kung Fu Masters at the Peacock Theatre in London. I've heard about the chinese state circus ones but am not convinced they are the real thing.

The show was absolutely brilliant, the boys loved it, not a peep out of either of them other than T going "Wow" every noew and then, although the couple behind me chatted the whole way through I felt like impalling them on one of the monks sharp poles by the end of it.

Right go to go because of school pick up, speak soon Beks

feetheart · 15/10/2007 14:52

We were not too sure about the authenticity of the monks either, they were good but in a very 'circus act' sort of way. Be prepared for T (and B) to become his very own Shaolin superhero though - A has been flinging himself around and shouting A LOT since going to the circus

Beksmum · 15/10/2007 21:42

FH lol the boys were beating each other up in the car on the way home and as we've bought the dvd I think T will be swatting up on his moves to get the better of B whilst he's at school

Bought dh a Wii for his b'day and B and his cousins have been having a great time on it this evening - so much so that my nephew announced "I am so getting one of these for Christmas"

Right best go and make packed lunch for tomorrow.

Take care all Beks

GreedyGecko · 16/10/2007 12:37

Oh very of dh beks, I want a wii!

Beksmum · 16/10/2007 14:38

Don't be, I'll still be paying for it when he's 50!!!

Londoner · 18/10/2007 11:22

Hi girls, just wanted to pop in and say hello to all and hope you're enjoying the same wonderful weather we are having here in old London town, isn't it glorious.
Beks, lol at your boys enjoying the Shaolin show and their antics. I must say a huge early
HAPPY BIRTHDAY THOMAS!!! for the 26th as I won't be able to get on on the day. I hope you all have a wonderful wonderful day, and will be thinking of your sweet boy on his 2nd b.day.

Love to all.

Bye.x
