Oh god numpty it?s not is it???! I thought you looked very young and blonde - definitely time to get my contact lenses checked

jacobandlysette · 25/05/2007 15:53

we've had a bit of a breakthrough - going to sleep on his own good little boy. even last night for proper night time sleep and this afternoon with the window open and the planes roaring overhead.

Ceebee-yes, that is the one. Sophie has had amazing fun with it tonight. Can take it to bits in less than 3 minutes. Much quicker than Em takes to pack it away.

Aw-jacobandlysette. Have a drink and start all over again.

Busy, busy chatty girlies tonight.

Here is another couple of pics my dad took. Still think I look big. Was looking forward to seeing the pics to see a new slim me but not yet. One day-eh? Sophie's Christening and another one

Love to all.

HumphreysCorner · 25/05/2007 21:56

Oh, and gave in to the Blossom Hill tonight-only 175ml though. Will try and abstain until a week on Monday.

Dropped dd off at sisters today, long drive (2hrs) back home on my own with no "singing" in the back seat. House seems so empty without her, makes it worse that her playpen/travel cot has gone with her, so there is a huge gap in the living room . Can't wait until Sunday night when she will (fingers crossed) be dropped off when I get home from work at 7pm.

Right going to go and have a long, lonely bath now (no interruptions !!).

Night night girls. Give all your LO's big kisses (sure my sister is giving Alex them from me !)......

ImpyChica · 25/05/2007 22:11

Sorry - HUGE post alert - feel free to skip to next message, just wanted to catch up with everyone.....

Lovely pix HC - your girls are gorgeous! Sounds like you're feeling much better.

Fab pic of Aidan, Twinkle - looks v Jane Austen-ey setting. Should start calling Aidan Mr Darcy....!

Sorry about the permanent early mornings, Bloss. Nightmare. And then you're all whizzing around the place being Super-Mum. I'd be slumped on the sofa letting the kids watch telly, me!

Looking forward to the housewarming, JacobLysette! I'll bring a couple of bottles of tinto and some pork scratchings (probably not the pig's ear variety that go down a storm here though...) Good luck with the TTC btw - v exciting!

Your DH sounds v sweet, Numpty. He can't be responsible for your happiness though - it's a hormonal thing beyond anyone's control. Hope the ADs are helping. GORGEOUS pix!!! They look like angels!

Glad Alex has been signed off from the hospital, SoHappy - what a relief. Must have been a tough time, initially. Have you got a house in France, then? Cool! Is Alex missing her Daddy? Ryan has been quite unsettle this week and seems to think I'm going to abandon him too - woke up every hour on Wed night to make sure I was still around... Apart from that we're managing ok - least I can go to bed early! DP is apparently off to see the Taj Mahal this weekend... sigh......

V sweet story SleepWeak - ahhh!

I'm with the heathens on the christening front too. Was brought up a Catholic and scarred for life . Luckily no pressure to do the christening thing from parents - since we're not married anyway, they've kind of given up on us!

Your day with your gf sounded fab, KZ - you're so lucky to have found someone like that, so close. The dog story was scary - I'm always eyeing dogs up as I push Ryan around - scared they are going to lunge at him. Not into dogs at best of times but now in over-protective mummy mode! Glad Roshi is better - phew!

Poor UsnoSleep - it's best to get these things checked out and I'm sure they're just being over cautious. I'm sure Zack will be fine. Glad things are better with DP.

Well done Annie (and LOL at your DH farting!) and others abstaining from the booze - you go girls! I don't have much myself cos of b-feeding and not able to function with a small baby and a hangover anyway... My dad and bro are Newcastle supporters too, poor things! Liverpool is one of my premiership team faves (went to Uni there). Who knows who Ryan will support.... probably show ponies Real Madrid...

Welcome back Jane!

Get better soon Wallace.

Looking forward to your pix Pretty - sounds like a fab day!

F@F - Ry is obsessed with the Teletubbies too! It's hilarious. He'll watch other things but only Ttbbies keeps him transfixed..

Glad you enjoyed your time away Beadmum. I'd love a night away with DP, on our own, but he's thousands of miles away . Still, I was talking to the waiter in an Indian restaurant today and his wife back in Bangladesh is due to give birth in two months but he won't see her and the baby till November - puts my poxy three weeks into perspective....

I WISH WISH WISH I could meet up with you peeps too. Where is that magic carpet when you need it?

Ryan can now stand a bit, with support - and he mastered getting up the step into the top level of our lounge/flat - which meant I spent Wed evening frantically baby-proofing that area since it was a maze of wires/eletronic equipment. Cripes! He now follows me into the kitchen and everywhere - v cute.

Oh, and finally adding him to b-day list -

Sophie - 27th June
Roisin - 4th

Ella - 16th

My DD has turned into a dustbin. She eats and drinks a lot.
She has also turned into a 'busy baby' She is nosy, she gets into her toybox, sits there, arm casually resting on the side, pleased with herself, then busies herself with pulling it all out, climbing out, then back in. Its wonderful to see it, she is so pleased with everything she does. Like 'helping' mummy tidy her clothes away. Utter concentration as she grabs a sleepsuit and tosses it to one side, then another, then another, then a fit of giggles, waits for applause, and off to do some more. She loves helping mummy .

Oh, those who have relatives who dont see their LOs often. What to do think of the idea that they 'know' who is family, like some kind of natural understanding, a primal sense, ancestral or other? I ask, as granny is over from USA, only seen DD once when she was 6 weeks old. DD loves her. From the moment she held her, it was like she knew this was not just another mad woman holding her being gooey, it was some-one special. She sits on her lap like she always has done, happily playing with empty foil wrappers from jam tarts (she was fed a reasonable amount by granny I could not be angry, she goes home tomorrow), she went swimming with her, been fed bottles, read stories. Its amazing. DP thinks maybe she can recognise some kind of family resemblence as she is also chilled with uncle. She is great with all people, including strangers, as long as we know them, and we are comfortable, she senses it maybe?

What do you think? Anyone else found this?

Thank you all for your support, you're all lovely, lovely ladies.

I don't think it is CF and I think the nurse really regretted saying it when she saw my reaction.
I'm thinking of phoning the paed dept and trying to change our appointment. At the mo it is on the Monday after our holiday and I'd rather have it before and get it out of the way.

All the photos are fab, a gorgeous bunch and that includes you HC! You look fabulous, all your hard work has really paid off. I think you should arrange a night out and show the world!

Ceebee74 · 26/05/2007 14:40

KZ - thanks for all those links - when I have more time, I will peruse them and decide what to get.

Am a bit sad today - Josh only has 2 teeth and he has already chipped one of those!! Think he might have done it whilst cruising (and biting) the coffee table so his 2 perfect little teeth are not perfect anymore.

numptysmummy · 26/05/2007 17:21

1st bday party done! She managed to not whack bday boy or anything and clapped in all the right places. Will have to get her push along/ ride on toy - she loves them. Dh and ds2 are landscaping the front garden and drive today - don't know who's having the most fun on the digger . Will look fab when it's done - used to be a boarding keenels so was loads of concrete and dog runs.Just going to be a nightmare keeping the kids off til the grass comes up.
More babies this way too - one of my dogs is having pups.Due on my birthday so bang goes my nice evening out!

jacobandlysette · 26/05/2007 18:05

impy you can bring whatever pork scratchings you like!

hc you look fab in your pics and i hope the ad's are helping - well done on not giving in too much to blossom hill!

i on the other hand drank well over a half bottle of wine and had the most horrendous night's sleep. jacob is teething again i think and woke at 1230, 2, 4, 6, 720....i think i was on autopilot going in there!

kz - those thomas sets - can you connect them onto each other? so if we got the small one now would it connect onto the big one if we got it later?

sorry i know i've forgotten everyone i had loads of things i was going to say but left the pc for 10 secs and have forgotten everything!
