Morning ladies

Grrrhhh-pouring with rain. Didn't go swimming this morning as a) AF has appeared big time 2 weeks after the last one WHY ? ? ? b) Sophie is grizzling c) it is raining and d) don't feel like it.

My bladder is playing up too-mum said my womb could have dropped a tad and is pressing on it. The things we get wrong with us eh?

Us-hugs to you and pleased to hear from you. Can't believe Zack is walking already-how fab is that? Hope you make the most of your hols when you go.

I would echo Annie and say to ignore me on the meetup list as I will um and ar and end up chickening out.

Have bought Sophie a £10 sit and ride Fifi thing which will be fine for her 1st B'Day. Bought Em the medium Thomas the Tank Engine track for Christmas and although it is 3+ Sophie loves it. So whoever mentioned getting one, as kayzed said-go for the 3+ track.

Sophie awake now so better retrieve her from the car.

Byee for now.

Hi Girls

Us ? bigs hugs to you and I?m sure Zack will be fine, try not to worry (though it?s impossible not to I know). There have been some really nasty chesty cough bugs around, a few people at work (big hulking grownups too don?t forget!) have been knocked out by them for ages recently. Great that you have organised a holiday, you do so deserve one. And big big clap for Zack walking!!

Numpty ? gorgeous pics, lovely one of you surrounded by your babes!

Annie ? it certainly was - and I feel another couple coming on tonight, got to get those garden sessions in before it starts raining

Beadmum ? glad you had a good break! Lol at the mooing. Emma?s ?crawling? backwards (with front hands only) too - at quite a rate as we have shiny floorboards that she fairly skates along

Lysettes ? good luck with ttc and well done on the abstinence this week (it?s the weekend now though )

HC ? bummer about the weather and AF Sit and ride thing sounds good, will have to research all that as it?s new territory for me.

Day off today so pottering round the living room this morning ? I can?t believe how much she loves Teletubbies Only had it on two or three times, but today and last time she sat absolutely transfixed for most of it, clapping her hands, waving at Tinkywinky, chuckling, trying to woof like the dog ? I?m convinced they have some sort of baby drug that they send through the tubes I think it?s going to be regular fixture

Got her weighed yesterday at the hospital, she has shot up again, up to 17lbs 4 from 15lbs 13 two weeks ago ? so at very top of 9th centile and very nearly into 25th which is where she should be. Not surprising though, her meals haven?t been touching the sides recently and she definitely feels chubbier. Her 3-6 month wardrobe is finally starting to get tight - will have to get some new clothes!

Have good days all

numptysmummy · 25/05/2007 13:11

FirstatForty - you just gave me a heart attack! Was sure i hadn't put a pic of me on here - it's dd1 who's 9! Lol.

HumphreysCorner · 25/05/2007 13:18

Lol-First. When I first looked at numpty's pics I did a double take and finally realised it wasn't a young looking numpty afterall.

Sophie's Christening dress is 3-6 months and it was still quite big.

numptysmummy · 25/05/2007 13:23

Not even on a good day . Prob been through all this before i got on here but did the rest of you with petite babes get grief from h.vs about their weight? I've had trouble with everyone of my babies about them being little, really pisses me off. Surely the important thing isb they are healthy and doing what they should be doing, not following a bloody line.Wish they would eithger ban them or allow for size of parents,bf etc. (Rant over)

LittleMissPositive · 25/05/2007 13:30

Hello all

Its PavlovtheCat with a new name!

I have been entertaining mad american family this week, all bloody week and I have missed you guys!

How are all the little ones? I have not had a chance to read any posts, and will not until Sunday when they leave. I have grabbed 5 mins to myself before meeting with people from work in half hour, the family are elsewhere so I snuck on. I should be tidying! DD is in nursery today.

I would just like to say, I love my DD more than I ever thought. And I am missing her terribly today. I will go get her early from nursery, as soon as the work thing is done.

She is defintely cruising too! She does this wonderful little upturned palm open thing with her hand, like she is trying to explain something, like 'the thing is...' kind of gesture. She does it all the time, she points at things now, recognises things in books, 'reads' all the time, turning pages and everything. She went for her first sea swim yesterday, loved it. Only like 1 min as it was cold water! and straight into warm towel, oh she wanted to go back in! She also babbles away now to herself, kisses her teddies goodnight. And laughs all the time!

I shall try to catch up with as many posts as I can, will be great to see how everyones LOs are doing, it seems like such a long time, much happens in a week doesnt it?!

jacobandlysette · 25/05/2007 13:50

just v quickly i too had loads of hassle from HVs re ds's weight. but he is doing well now!

and i'm going to drink like a fish this weekend as there are no little embryos to worry about this month although kind of expected it what with the poor maths and all!

anyway, jacob yelling for lunch see you all later!

Better luck next time. Horrible isn't it? Took forever to get caught with Ella (didn't actually but felt like it!). Still, have some beers and then get practising again .

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 25/05/2007 14:14

Aw Lysette, well if you're sure, then make the most of it, it could be your last chance!! (For a booze up I mean!)
(Don't let your DH have any though, don't want those little squigglers slowing down for next month!!)

Pavlov, your DD sounds just adorable!! Kayley does that thing too with her hands, accompanied by 'All gone' sound.

Numpty, your four numptys all look happy and healthy to me! What do those HV's know.
NOTHING i tell you!
Did you manage to stay off the demon drink last night? Or are you finishing tonight with a celebratory glassa something?!
HC, what about you!? Is Blossom Hill calling?
Not that I'm encouraging drinking now...

Better go.

Annie

jacobandlysette · 25/05/2007 14:27

am not too - not getting myself all worked up about it! more practising required

have redone counting so am spot on going forward!

jacob has started trying to stand up by pushing up with his legs - if you hold onto his hands he doesn't trty and pull himself up with his upper body but tries to push himself up - that boy has strong little legs - i forsee lots and lots of all blacks tries being scored!!!

if anyone wants to try it and has a threshers nearby, the sileni unoaked chardonnay is great really chilled - and they have 3 for 2 on at the moment. may have to get stuck into that tonight!!!!

how crap is it that the weather is going to get bad again for the weekend

numptysmummy · 25/05/2007 14:27

Spect i'll have to drink tonight. Shame to see dh drinking all by his lonesome again - kind of sad and pathetic. Plus, have to have something to wash the takeaway down with.
Numpty children all fine the size they are but took me until Ella not to get paranoid about their size. Had her weighed when midwife did checks but then not again til 5 mths,8mth check and tues for the crack really! Standing joke in this hse now - guess how small the baby is this time!

Had a binge on tescos a while ago - was a wine sale. VVVV rude not to! Was my fave and worked out about 3quid a bottle. Cept cos it's there you drink it and wwe've nearly finished 2 cases!

numptysmummy · 25/05/2007 14:39

If she was hungry she'd wake wouldn't she?
I would let her go and then give her milk and a snack when she wakes up and praps a bit more for tea. Depends how late she eats in the evening.

LittleMissPositive · 25/05/2007 14:42

Annie - oh, yes that could be it?!! Oh how bad I did not get it ...she does it when she drops things, or wants things that have been moved away...it might be...i shall keep an eye out next time and see if its what she is doing!

KZ - hey! Dont wake her up fgs! let her sleep, chill out and feed her milk when she wakes.
This week, with all going manic, DD's eating/sleeping routines have been a bit out of sync, and it does not seem to have effected her, she eats the same amount, just at different times! and on the dasy with her usual routine, she has not been thrown at all.

numptysmummy · 25/05/2007 14:44

Sounds like mine. If ds2 goes to bed before dh and i eat he'll get up when he smells dinner to pinch ours! Where do they pit it???

LittleMissPositive · 25/05/2007 14:48

KZ well done your ds!

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 25/05/2007 14:53

NEVER WAKE A SLEEPING BABE!
Listen to your old wives!!!

LOL Pav! I like your description better, trying to explain something, 'see well now the thing is mummy...'

Numpty, enjoy your wine! I know there's a couple of bottles at home, but I need a chair to get to them, they're up on top of the cupboard. Straight in the freezer when I get home! (If I don't get waylaid passing the beer garden again!)
Sod it, it's the weekend!
Lysette, enjoy your chardonnay too!!

I'm off home now. A tad early, but it is Friday and the bosses are all away!

Have a lovely weekend!!

(Sleep Roshi, sleep!)

Annie

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 25/05/2007 14:54

Well done to Chili!!
