Got puppies!!!!!! 8 of 'em
5 boys and 3 girls. Had to deliver 2 cos they were coming backwards. V cute. Went out this morning and she'd had another 1 but it was dead. Born on my b'day so dh will have to let me keep 1.
So of this talk of babies sleeping at night. No bloody chance here. Forgot my ads for a couple of days too so back to square 1 with feeling knackered all day again. Guess that'll teach me

usandnosleep · 12/06/2007 08:16

Congratulations Numpty!!

Sorry about the sleep thing, it's awful isn't it?
Mind you, he is still asleep now and he was vey grumpy yesterday so the pessimist in me is thinking he's probably coming down with something

FirstAtForty · 12/06/2007 08:21

congrats on the lovely pups Numpty - and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you all

Hi Us YAAAAAAY to Zack!! ( the * and ^ things you can't put round more than one word at a time, so you have to do each word individually, bit boring if it's a long sentence!)

Sohappy - hi, bummer re the night shifts... hope you can get some days (and nights!) off together soon

numptysmummy · 12/06/2007 08:23

I try to tell myself she's teething/coming down with something but really she's just a shite sleeper!! Ds2 was 16mths before he stopped having booby at night and it was a few more mths before he slept thru. Doesn't bode well. Don't know how it went so wrong - 1st 2 slept thru from 8 wks

numptysmummy · 12/06/2007 08:33

Maybe she is coming down with something - v snotty and clingy this morning. Just as well she wasn't like this yestetrday,my friend had to look after her so i could do the pups. Apparently she was really good. Hence making up for it today i suppose. She's started having tantrums too,she headbutts the floor if she can't get what she wants She knows what lolly pops look like and goes mental if the others have 1. Not good at 11mths old!!

TheGoddessBlossom · 12/06/2007 08:49

Numpty forgot to say Hapy Birthday to you for yesterday! And congrats on sharing it with the puppies. And congrats to your sister Annie that's wonderful. Waiting on two of my friends to pop any minute.....

Hmm later bedtimes. It's a tough one. Spose I shoudl try it and stop moaning. Terrified that it won't make a jot of difference and then I get no evening and an early start........spose I should just bite the bullet........

TheGoddessBlossom · 12/06/2007 09:40

Pigging dishwasher is bust and have just washed up it's contents, 4 meals worth of crockery etc. Dh about as supportive as a feeding bra "What do you expect me to do about it from work?" Well nothing really just sanction a new one to be here befoe I have to do any more washing up. In short.

prettymum · 12/06/2007 09:50

happy birthday numpty and to the pups!! congratulations!!

junior always wakes up once for a bottle and has started waking u earlier! he woke up at 6.45 this morning and woke dd up who is normally able to sleep through his shrieking! looks like a summer full of early mornings!

he is definately teething, dribbling and screaming out of pain at times, he still has 4 at the moment!

HumphreysCorner · 12/06/2007 10:22

Morning all

No poo so far but she is crying so must have tummy ache. Have given her 2.5ml Calprofen so will see what thatb does. She now weighs 16 lb so only lost a bit.

numpty-how wonderful having all those pups. Can't remember what breed they are. Keep up with those AD's. Can hardly tell I'm taking mine now. Happy B'Day for yesterday.

Bloss- no dishwashier. I would have ordered one as soon as the other one broke. Grrrhh at DH.

kbaby-how's things today?

Got to go as DH wants to go out again.

Byee and big hugs to all!!!

TheGoddessBlossom · 12/06/2007 14:34

HC - have just ordered one and transferred the money online from DH's bank account. That'll teach him.

Excited now about new dishwasher.

Both boys have been asleep for two hours AT THE SAME TIME! HURRAH!!

jacobandlysette · 12/06/2007 15:50

hi numpty - well done o nthe pups and happy birthday for yesterday

HC how has soph been for the rest of today? maybe a trip to the docs tomorrow might be a good idea if she is no better?

bloss - we have been renting since beginning of april now with no dishwasher.....and dh never does the washing up or if he does he lays everything out really spaced out on the draining board so he only gets about a third of it done at any one time

annie well done for your sister

us great for the sleep! jacob woke at 930 yelling his head off and settle only when i forced teething gel into his mouth. then woke for milk at 230 and then at 3 then 320 so i gave him some calprofen and we had to wake him up at 8am! he was fine after the medication though still no new teeth through yet.....

Hi girls

I have a shit shit day!!!

Finally got a letter from pupil placement(after weeks of phoning them) to say that Niamh has not got into our choice of nursery.

So they have offered us one a bit away where the kids swear in the playground and the mums and dads stand and smoke holding the pit bull.Def not going there.

The other one was a funded pre school place in a private nursery(don't want to mention the name but think people may have heard of it) and it was grim It was smelly, dirty and sooo untidy.A puddle of wee under a table and at least 2/3 kids crying and being ignored while we were there.

Manager showed us the messy area,eg sand tray, water play etc. They were covered up and no paints etc at the painting table either.

So if they can't offer any other provision my poor girl ain't going to nursery this year. She will be gutted as she is so excited about being a big girl.

Have emailed them so will see if they bother to email me backk

TheGoddessBlossom · 12/06/2007 19:47

oh Algach, big hugs. It's so hard isn't it. I know it's serious, but LOL at your description of them holding the pit bull etc, is it wrong of me that I can picture the exact scene! [chuckle] Your kids are very lucky that you look after their interests so well, something will turn up....xxxx

agalch · 12/06/2007 20:01

LOL Blossom

I am deadly serious about the pit bulls btw!! DH does say i am a bit of a snob but i don't think i am.I just like to have my kids mixing with and playing with "decent" kids.Oh god that sounds bad doesn't it? Hmm maybe i am a snob? He didn't like the nursery we visited today tho,the kids were really sad looking.

Think after the weekend i had (which was also shitty) it was the last straw.

Long story but i really need to get over my DB being the favourite/blue eyed boy etc.He will always be my mums little boy and i have my own family now,but it is hard to watch sometimes.I still feel like a jealous little girl

Just a quickie

kayzed-ugh-blasted ants. They keep attacking my tomato plantsb in the greenhouse Lots of ant powder in use at the mo.

agalch-of course you can't send N to that nursery. Do hope you get an Email from your chosen nursery and so hope it is good news.

Bloss-well done. Girl power-yay!

Hi to everyone else.

Well, only one horrific explosion from the Sophster yesterday so we are off to Glastonbury today to a Travelodge then to Longleat tomorrow. Wish us luck with the 4.5 hour journey.

Back soon

TheGoddessBlossom · 13/06/2007 09:17

Have a great time HC!

KZ - put my name down. I will certainly extend myself to be there, will text cousin now.

Have just had a mad hour with the boys, daning like lunatics round the living room to my Dirty Dancing CD at top volume, am completely knackered and Toby has retired to bed. Isn't it funny that you just assume you can still do a forward roll even though it's a least 10 years since you last did one? Am surprised at how difficult it was! H seemed impressed though.

Going to the beach later if the heavens don't open, it's a gorge sunny day at the moment here, despite the forecast of rain....

Both my friends dropped their babies yesterday, one girl and one boy, so exciting! can't wait to have a hold, have to go shopping now for pressies.

have great days all.

Bloss

PS. Dh got pissed last night (again!) and left the gas hob on ALL NIGHT!! Imagine if the flame had gone out, and the gas had just kept pumping, Toby's room is above the kitchen!!!

oooh now a gauntlet has been thrown, must find myself a hula hoop.......I bet I can still do that....

Had a FANTASTIC 4 hours at the beach. FANTASTIC. Weather held, played beach tennis with my friend, the boys had a total riot.

jacobandlysette · 13/06/2007 16:57

poor you agalch aobut the nursery although i am picturing them, just like bloss (picturing them not picturing bloss )

bloss re the gas although in my student days i used to flat with a girl who regularly did that, and also with the gas oven - the flat would be boiling hot and it would always take us ages to figure it out

will have a chat with dh about the meetup - any chance of another london one anytime soon? strangely enough will be easier once i'm in clapham - jsut straight up to N london on the northern line.

jacob is now propping himself up on his feet and hands with his hands on a ledge about 6 inches from the ground - and looking so pleased with himself! and he's crawling forward like crazy, and wearing himself out well

just found out from my mother this afternoon that her neurologist appointment for what she though was a trapped nerve in her shoulder has resulted in a diagnosis of parkinson's. doing a bit of research on tinternet and she is displaying a lot of the other symptoms, but she is trying to organise a second opinion in any case I don't get on with her particularly well but this would put into place a lot of things that have happened over the past year or so - how she is, how she has been feeling and acting etc.

anyway, must go and make dinner for my BIL who can only sit on the sofa or nap as he is recovering from his knee op still.

xxxx

ps HC hope the trip goes well!

TheGoddessBlossom · 13/06/2007 19:40

Lysettes - re possible parkinsons. Hope you find out it's not. I am really concerned for my own Mum at the moment, who I adore and see all the time, who is TERRIFIED she has Alzheimers, as her Mum had it and she is displaying alot of the same symptoms, although I do think that a depression diagnosis would also be applicable....

I don't mind if you picture me Lysettes - I look like this

xx

jacobandlysette · 13/06/2007 20:48

wow bloss! i never knew i had a twin

here's a question - if you had to, which actress would you choose to play you? (clue it ahs to be someeone that you vaguely kind of look like!)

dh reckons alicia silverstone (in her batman days) or drew barrymore

OP posts:
TheGoddessBlossom · 13/06/2007 21:00

PMSL, I just asked DH and he said "Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall"!!!!

And then he said, when I'm really done up, and not sitting here in PJs with my hair scraped back and my specs on, Nicole Kidman, a bit....

My DH REALLY FANCIES Drew Barrymore Lysettes....oooer....

jacobandlysette · 13/06/2007 21:18

i think my dh does as well, bloss. or britney (in his more silly moments to admit it!)

nicole kidman is a nice one

we used to play this at work when we were bored - used to have a manc guy sit in our little department with a shaved head and was a bit "rough" looking - we always said ross kemp (worrying as i think i admited to a bit of a soft spot for RK previously...), but he preferred Bruce Willis in his die hard days
