Poor Kbaby - I know what you mean - I'm terrified about falling pregnant too soon after Ry. I want a decent gap between kids..... Your periods are probably a bit all over the place at the mo - doesn't sound like you could be pregnant after just one "session" ages ago....

Wallace - gorg pix of Leo!!! I don't think Ry would fit in our washing machine anymore...! As to the af question, mine have only just started, this last month or so, and I feel v cheated - didn't think you were supposed to get them while b-feeding....

HC - hope Sophie's better soon, poor love. Hope you are too {{{{hugs}}}}}

Hi Madness!

You can't beat a good G&T, plenty of ice and lemon, on a warm summer's evening, KZ......sigh....!

Twinkle - know what you mean about Aidan being over familiar at the nursery! Ry gets called El Rubio Malo (bad blonde boy) for his habit of pushing babies over and stealing their dummies . They reckon he's just playing but I feel sorry for the little mites getting bulldozered by my monster! Sorry about your gum infection - sounds horrible.

Great mammoth post F@F! Hope Emma's sleeping is getting better. Sometimes, when Ry has got himself into a state, I lay him down in his cot and stroke his hair and it calms him down.... might be worth a go? (to Bloss too - hope Toby's calmed down!)

Had a lovely weekend catching up with friends and going for lunch and drinks out on the terraces. Having dreaded being on my own this weekend, it was all fine! DP gets back tomorrow (touch wood) and then I think I'll leave him with Ry while I go off to a spa for a couple of weeks .

Have a good Sunday evening everyone. Hugs Impy xxx

TheGoddessBlossom · 10/06/2007 20:11

hurray Impy's Chicka gets home tomorrow, to muchos lovos.

Thanks Imps, he did settle down eventually, then did that breathing in his sleep with little sobs, cos he'd been crying so hard, YKWIM? Tempted to go and wake him up now, to give him a cuddle!!

TheGoddessBlossom · 10/06/2007 20:12

KBaby - don't sweat it till you know. hugs.

hi everyone

have tried to write down for everyone but i kn ow i'll forget some! impy bet you're sooooo excited now!

hi FAF, twinkle and madness!

HC have you tried some very diluted formula milk - just to get some liquids and a little nourishment into soph? also calpol and nurofen are both good for temps but not calpol better on an empty stomach. a lukewarm flanel (not colod becuase it'll shock the system but not hot obviously i guess) will help bring her temp down a little. and you're not menopausal!!!! get thee to the doc

KBaby - hope it works out how you want. am sure you're not if you've had 2 negs already. it might be IBS - have suffered for a good few years and the pain is very similar to both period pain and early preg pain and sickness. fingers and toes crossed for you. at the mum and cp boy - a little irresponsible methinks!

wallace and ceebee - we have got a very similar walker for jacob for his birthday present - it's got alphabet blocks in, as my mum says she is buying some building wooden blocks for the little man.

numpty - snap we are having huge party on 21st as well and will be mainly drinking, and bbq'ing for the menfolk

jacob has been starting to hold onto things standing up if you put him there, and is starting to try and pull himself up as well. think he has a couple of teeth coming through as well - i can see lots of little white lumps in his gums and all the other signs are there - he too only has two teeth at the moment.

well my BIL comes to stay for next week as he is having a knee op and needs everything all on one level - as I am desperately trying to get all the packing done for moving it's going to be a trying week, as he will be pretty drugged up for the first few days....either that or laying o nthe sofa with sky sports on 24 hors a day

xxx everyone have a great rest of the evening and will try and catch up on BB - can't believe if lesley has gone i thiought she was doing quite well in there!

sorry if i've missed anyone i'm sure i have

Ahhh, poor Tobes! Ryan's having a yell at the mo - the first time in quite a few nights that he has at this hour... If I go in, he'll do it tomorrow, if I don't he'll work himself up into a right state... ahhhh!!! Loved your comment on the "you know you're a mum thread" btw, Bloss. Can you tell I'm having my last night of uninterrupted MN-ing....?! DP will be straight onto the Guardian Football page tomorrow evening... (Oooo Ry's stopped crying - phew!)

ImpyChica · 10/06/2007 21:04

x posts...

Roshi sounds adorable KZ! Ry's into waving but hasn't figured out pointing yet.

Poor Lysette - sounds like you've got loads on. (How are you going to TTC with BIL around? ) Hope it all goes ok.

F@F - they?re thinking about trying for funding to replace the post that was made redundant. That would really help me out but it?s not that likely. Otherwise, no if I cut my hours down I?d just have the same amount to do in even less time. BTW I find out tomorrow whether senior management are supporting my application for review - just at application stage, god knows how long til I get a result (can you believe it?s taking this long?!)

Impy ? ROFL at your Ryan! What are they like eh?

Aidan?s pointing too ? we only realised the other day that?s what he?s doing when he holds out his arm at full stretch. He hasn?t figured out clapping though ? he just ignores me.

For the third night in a row Aidan?s been impossible to settle . My theory is that it coincides with him working out how to pull himself up to kneeling and hold onto the bars. Please someone tell me this is just a phase?

agalch · 11/06/2007 00:20

KZ haven't done it yet will figure out how to transfer it from my camera onto pc.Will do it tomorrow and email it to you.

Thank you again

TheGoddessBlossom · 11/06/2007 09:35

ok so now Toby wakes at 4.15am for a sing, then deigns to go back to sleep (or do I pass back out? ) till 5.15am. Then he woke H up. It's sooooooo tiring. I now give Toby a bottle to drink on his own in his cot at about 5.30am so I can at least be lying in my own bed quietly while he drinks it, but once it's gone he's off again shouting and singing and crashing about. I can't believe I bothered going through controlled crying only a few months ago to get rid of his 5.30am bottle, to be actually giving him one just to keep him in his cot for a bit longer!!

Dh and I can barely exchange a civil word to each other before he goes to work these days, cos we're both so sick of being up so early. Step around each other and then talk later in the morning on the phone when we've woken up a bit and can be nice to those around us and each other. These baby years are haaaaaaaaaard....
it is seriously stopping us even thinking about having another one.

TheGoddessBlossom · 11/06/2007 09:37

I managed to keep H in bed till 6am by threatening to call the police this morning. Bad Mummy.

TheGoddessBlossom · 11/06/2007 09:37

Wish that would work with Toby too.........

HumphreysCorner · 11/06/2007 09:48

Morning ladies

AF stopped yesterday finally after 7 days then this morning I have bloody awful period pains and low backache again. What is going on????????? Will see if AF turns up again this week then go to the Drs.

kbaby-any sign of yours?

DH has this week off so we are off out for morning coffee (well, tea for me as I can't abide coffee since having EM).

Have a good day.

xxx

numptysmummy · 11/06/2007 10:28

HC- hope the gp can give you somes answers!! sounds awful!

bloss- {{hugs}} to you and your dh!! dont kknow what else you can do apart from the control crying which you've already tried! junior woke just before 6 this morning and woke dd aswell, after finishing his milk he did not want to sleep! it didnt help with dd climbing into his cot and wanting to play! told dd off and sent her off to her bed and i let junior cry to sleep!

jacobandlysette · 11/06/2007 12:52

must be the mornings for early wake ups jacob woke at 430 for milk today which normally isn't till 530.... so he was up after getting back to sleep at 7am. i know bloss that would be heaven for you! and LOL at calling the police

jacob currently lying on his back on the floor having a aaahing conversation with himself!

he too isn't pointing but very good at waving now and pointing - sometimes gives a thumbs up when he can't be bothered to wave properly

must away

xxxx

ps luckily for dh the crucial time has passed this month so no worries about ttc with BIL in the next room

Afternoon girls,

Cripes I spend the weekend with my babies, and ye all talk the hind legs of several donkeys! Off to Ireland tomorrow, so carry on without me...

Kbaby, fingers crossed for you, I hope you get the result you want.

Impy, is he back?? is he??

Wallace, FANtastic photos!! Leo is Gorgeous!!

HC, hope you and Sophie are feeling better. Poor Sophie. And poor you.

Funny(ish) story from the weekend (if you're not too sqeamish):
Joey sitting on his chair, eating his dinner.
'Dada, spider' (points at curtain rail)
Dada Squeals 'Honey, look at this fucking scorpion'
Annie Swears profusely and takes the Lord's name in vain 43 times.
A giant beetle thing is crawling across the curtain rail
DH whacks it with a newspaper, and falls off the stool
Annie runs to get an empty formula tin.
DH whacks it again, into the tin.
Covers the tin and runs outside with it (still squealing)
Joey wants to join in the whacking...

Anyway, had a peek in the tin, then went to look up picture of beetles. It turns out it was a harmless old protected endangered Stag Beetle... Fuck me.
The website said to 'please send any beetle to us so we can examine them'... Fuck me.

It's still in the tin in the garden. I think it might be dead by now. About three inches long it was...

Fuck me...

Have a good week girls. Slainte!!

Annie
