bloss they are predicting flash floods tonight in south and east.....

annie and impy - yes the party is for jacob's first birthday. we don't do anything by halves [sigh] - we will probably be about 30/35 adults in total with associated babies and kids.... most of the food is going to be bbq that dh is in charge of and showing off his brand new bbq that will be bought! and some kiwi food vooked by me - MIL suggested for the kids hundreds and thousands sandwiches..... yes thanks MIL all the parents will thank me for giving their kids the worst sugar high when all the parents are drinking in the sun [fingers crossed emoticon] - for the sun i mean!

we should have a fingers crossed emoticon - so many people with them crossed for one reason or another on here!

Lysette, does that include all of us from this thread gatecrashing!? Sounds great! We got a Weber gas barbeque last year, it's fab, so handy instead of using the oven or grill, even when not having a proper barbeque!
LOL at Hundreds and Thousands sandwiches!! What a mess!!

Impy, if I were you, I'd have a kip, but probably wouldn't be able to sleep whilst thinking of MN

Off home now, taking Kayley back to the doc's this evening to check on her eczema on her face. It's a bit better, but still there.
Have a good weekend all

ImpyChica · 08/06/2007 16:21

Ha Ha Annie - spot on - couldn't resist MN.... Good luck with Kayley's eczema. Poor poppet.

Wow Lysette - you really don't do things by halves...! Sounds like it'll be a wicked day.

The picnic sounded lush, Bloss.... sigh...

Beadmum · 08/06/2007 16:34

thanks for all the lovely comments about charlotte

pretty - thanks, am going to check out that website, dh is always on that moneysavingexpert.com where it tells you all the good offers shops have on, hes always wanting to buy stuff we dont need have fun at the birthday party, hope you managed to find some presents. agree that you should go back to gp about your pill, it cant be agreeing with you making you feel like that, prob need to try another one

hc - glad youre bit better, that sil & bil were so late leaving, poor you (((hugs)))

annie - id be holding a grudge too, hope dh realises what he said was wrong and apologises. let us know how kayley gets on at the docs

lysette - fingers crossed for you too, sounds like jacob is a little water baby. ive never went to swim class with charlotte, should maybe go sometime, i cant swim and am bit scared of water so dont want to pass that on to her but prob best to get her used to water earlier i suppose

impy - im sure dp is at the beauty salon as we speak

bloss - picnic sounded lovely, glad you all had a good time

well we had thunder and lightning here through the night, kept me awake as it was so loud, thankfully charlotte slept through it. the rain was also crazy, been dry today but still dull and cloudy, isnt it supposed to be june, hope sunny weather is here soon, want to get to the park and having lots of picnics

have a good evening ladies xx

prettymum · 08/06/2007 16:34

its hot, hot, hot here!!! so beautiful!! went out earlier in a hoody thinking it was going to be hilli, had to go buy a vest top in shops as i was starting to sweat!!

went out shopping, went to the park and came hoe an hour ago, set up the paddling pool in the balcony and the dc are splashing about right now, took some pics will post later!

better go put chicken in oven now

prettymum · 08/06/2007 16:37

hoe-home

jacobandlysette · 08/06/2007 16:38

annie which weber did you get? we are looking at them at the moment - there is a world of weber site that i think we are going to go with that is discounted a bit so that's something!

must remember i have to buy a paddling pool for jacob for when we have moved! keep him in the water as long as possible - he'll be a little shrivelled up prune by the time he gets out

must go he's wingeing and flailing his arms and legs about in the air!

OP posts:
jacobandlysette · 08/06/2007 17:10

also meant to say we are using aqueos (sp) cream for jacob's little patch of eczema on his leg. doesn't seem to be getting better but then isn't getting worse either so gues that's something

just found out dh probably going to be late at work and was counting on him stopping on way home to pick up bottle of wine not sure what to do on this one!

OP posts:
prettymum · 08/06/2007 17:22

we also use aqueous cream for junior, he has dry skin. dd had really bad eczema since around 6 months old. she didnt really have any on her face, just in the creases between legs and arm, but they used to get all weepy.
have used aqueous, emulsifying, aveeno and doublebase which so far is best.

TheGoddessBlossom · 08/06/2007 19:15

picnic today

All these kids are from women I met when I had Harry, and they've all grown up together. Loook only 2 girls among them!!

HumphreysCorner · 08/06/2007 19:46

Ooh, Bloss-that is a nice pic. Even better that it has my dream Suzuki Vitara in the background.

Girls-today I have been scaring myself by looking up early menopause symptoms and AF being irregular is one of them. Have even got a link to menopause wee tests on my desktop. Doh!

Now that's just silly paranoia HC. Calm down! Get thee to a gyno for a check-up. It's probably something straightforward. Have a glass (or two) of Blossom Hill and Chill - it's Friday night!

Well ive done 2 pregnancy tests now and their both negative. I have a horrible feeling I may be pregnant. Im feeling sick all the time unless I eat and im so bloated. GP thinks it may be IBS but im due on sometime now so I just have to wait and repeat the test again. I hope not.

DD managed to play with a little boy yesterday down the park who when I looked he had chicken pox. I spoke to his mum and it started Monday and not yet scabbed over. I was a bit as surely she shouldve taken him down the park once it was quieter not mid day. Wouldn?t mind DD getting it any other time but not when were going away on Tuesday as they wont let us fly home if she has it.

Kayzed ? LOL at Chilli. Wish id been there. You take the most beautiful pictures of your children. Thanks as well, Im currently down loading something now.

HC- I haven?t been able to use Tampax since having DS, always feels as if its not in properly
Bloss- Has Toby been ok in himself or have the spots been bothering him. Youll need to tell me if the crib sells as I have loads of things I want to sell ie the pram but though it would be too big to post.
Jeanie- I cant get over Abbie?s hair. Wow

Had to take DS back to the GPs about his cough yesterday. They said its not an infection the x-ray is clear so its either

  1. constant viral infections
  2. Teething is causing lots of saliva which is irritating his throat and making him cough
  3. Constant runny nose irritating his throat Hes not to go back for a while as she seems to think he will grow out of it.

Ceebee- DD walked with a walker at 10 months and walked at 52.5 weeks.

Ok that?s enough boring you all now ive had orders from DH to go and book airport parking.
Ta ta

kbaby-I'm sure you won't be. Have you eaten anything different recently? On my current diet I have (TMI) lots of bloating and wind. Seem to be constipated now. Only test again if you are late. Do you remember your contraception letting you down at all? ((Hugs))

kayzed-my mum's menopause was in her mid to late 40's. Was watching My Family tonight and the very same topic came up.

Impy-the Blossom Hill has been staring at me since Monday but can't drink because my head is still throbbing.

Feel so hungry but can't eat as nil pointe left.

Little Britain is soooo good.

Time for more tablets. So that is 1 migraine tablet, 1 AD tablet and 2 Senokot tablets. Will be rattling.

Ramblings of a mad woman.

Wallace · 08/06/2007 22:03

sorry I am so bad at keeping up

I do try to read all the posts, but most of the time it is beyond me to reply to everyone

Wonderful pics everyone - all the girls look so grown up especially when they have their hair up

HC - hugs, but try not to panic yourself.

btw am I the only one who hasn'r had AF since our babies were born?

ceebee this is what you need They last for years and years, such good play value. Leo is walking holding on to a walker now too, and we are getting one of these for his birthday. I do wish we could get it now because I think he might be walking before he is one. He is so mobile!

HumphreysCorner · 08/06/2007 22:12

Oh, yes, we have one of those. Em used it and I have already got it down again for Sophie even though she is only crawling.

bloss- all those children look so well behaved!!

hc- stop googling!! go doctors to get reassurance!

kbaby- hope you get to put you mind at rest soon!

HumphreysCorner · 08/06/2007 22:53

Oh Lordy-went up to bed and thought, what's that smell. Sophie had sicked all over her bedding and fave pink bunny. She was laid face down in the sick and her hair was covered too. I never heard a thing. Have bathed her and changed the bedding. She was shivering-bless her. Hoping she will be not sick again. Dried toast for her tomorrow then.

oh HC poor you and poor Soph hope you both get better soon.

Wallace I haven't had AF either yet. Don't miss it mind you! I love the look of that toddle truck, thanks, I might get that for Toby's first birthday!

KBaby, if you are preggers! And annoying re woman with cp kid, I really did try to keep out of everyone's way with Toby. he has been totally fine since the day before the spots appeared, hasn't scratched or anything and didn't even get a temperature.

Gorge day here today, BBQ tonight methinks!

KZ are you like a thwarted doctor or something? you know more about medical stuff than anyone outside of the profession I've ever met! And seem to have had more tests than I've had hot dinners!! Did you miss your vocation?

numptysmummy · 09/06/2007 08:43

Hc - i've done exactly the same thing! Was convinced i was menopausal! My mum was only in her 40's too. I've had 2 af's since Ella. About 10 wks apart - longer than that now tho. Was the same after Lewis. Took ages to get caught for Ella even tho we started trying straight away. I constantly think i'm pregnant. Much to dh's horror
Went to a friends last night. 8 kids there dd1 and ds1 being the oldest, rest 3 and under. They were all angels. Did'nt leave til 10. Lie in this morning!! Even Ella went back to sleep til 7.30.Dh went to work at 6, hopefully back soon. Had a huge heart to heart with him because he is still convinced it's his fault i need the ads .He couldn't be any better than he is already, bless. We're having a huge party on 21st, 50 adults so far and about 30 kids. Will be mostly drinking
