F@F - 31 July sounds good to me. What about everyone else?

jacobandlysette · 04/06/2007 09:03

morning everyone!

pavlov {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} for you - i know it's tough when you have so much on your plate.

we had a great weekend - well dh was on the stag on saturday, but yesterday was great fun. it was so warm here and we had lunch out and then sat in the park for the afternoon.

the steak was off! ended up not having it on saturday night so dh cooked it for me last night and it was horrid. but i did get through another bottle of wine on saturday night on my own.

watched the holiday on dvd - it's cliched but very watchable!

anyway, not much else to report here - jacob eating really well and almost has 4 more teeth through - looks like 2 on the bottom coming through as well as 2 on the top, so fingers crossed they come through soon.

hi impy agalch and sleep good to see you all again

Just a quickie - PLEASE don't meet up on 31 July! It's the boy's first birthday and we have major party plans

OK, will go back to bricking it quietly about interview this afternoon. Had forgotten how much I hate doing them...

TheGoddessBlossom · 04/06/2007 10:05

GOOD LUCK MAEWEST!! hate interviews myself but they are never as bad as you think they are going to be. Imagine them naked.

J&L I liked The Holiday too...

numptysmummy · 04/06/2007 10:27

Morning all,
Great wkend here too. When i sobered up . Dh has been landscaping the front garden. Now have a path and have marked out the flower beds etc. V exciting. (I don't get out much..)
Back to school today - hurray! Love em to bits but they get bored and end up fighting.
Have also got the pregnant dogs new shed ready. She's a springer and the pups will be sprockers.Kids are already whingeing that they want to keep a puppy!! Which would be o.k but we have three other dogs already!
Lovely day here today - must catch up with some washing.Bloody ads,i'm away with the fairies! Can't get anything done. Ella and Lewis are really getting on now - she follows him everywhere and he's very good with her, getting her toys etc. She's suddenly a proper part of the family. Not that she wasn't before but you know what i mean. Less passive i spose.

numptysmummy · 04/06/2007 10:38

Oh,and july looking pretty much booked for me. To be honest, doubt i could get there anyway.Got to babysit sister cos mum going away for 3 (yes 3!!!!) bloody wkends. Nowonder she never has time to babysit for me. And we are having a mahoosive party on the 14th or 21st. Haven't had a hsewarming yet and we've been here for 2 yrs! Hence dh running round like a madman trying to get everything finished. Always good to give them a deadline tho - the last one i gave hiom was Ella being born .Worked a treat, the bath was plumbed in the afternoon i went into labour!

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 04/06/2007 11:55

Morning girls,

Just a quickie as I actually have stuff to do today...

Pav, hope you're ok. Hugs to you.

Numpty, hope you're feeling better too, I'm sure you've sobered up by now!

Had a nice weekend, a G&T on the new decking, a few other beers here and there.
Kayley has started pointing at things she wants, eg down the hallway when she knows DS is asleep and wants to go and get him, and at a glass of water, that she then glugs at, and spills most of...
And I THINK she said Woof woof this morning when she saw the Andrex puppy...??? Maybe i'm imagining it... DH certainly didn't believe me.

Three babies now, DH has turned into one too, all three are sniffling and moaning. Thank God for work!!!

Bye for now

Annie

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 04/06/2007 11:56

Best of Luck, Mae!!! x

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 04/06/2007 11:56

Impy, Ryan is so cute!! (But you knew that!

TheGoddessBlossom · 04/06/2007 13:19

Ryan is VERY cute, no doubt about it.

jacobandlysette · 04/06/2007 16:42

mae good luck!

numpty i wish the puppies were being born a bit later as we are definitely wanting to get a puppy but not right now - put us on the list for the next litter as i'm sure you have people queueing up to buy them!

annie - you mean they make you do stuff and don't just let you MN all day? the cheek of it!

impy - ryan is a real cutie - we must have all been blessed with the good looks available last year as all our los are gorgeous

talking of that jacob was doing his best to impress and chat up a little girl at monkey music today you should have seen him smiling away, dancing his body around, stamping his feet up and down and then yelling at her..... of course i know he wasn't really doing any of it consciously but it was so funny to watch - and her mum even said "he's going to be so good at chatting up girls when he's older"!!!

well supposed to be at WI tonight (don't laugh!) but really can't be bothered to go. might just have a night in but no booze - am trying to keep the week nights booze free, and in any case we only have one bottle of beer in the house, which is just never enough! you have one bottle you want another...

jacob is trying to pull himself up on things now - the edge of the coffee table is a favourite, particularly if it has things on it that can be pulled off in the process.

anyway, enough of my drivvle see you all later!

numptysmummy · 04/06/2007 17:33

They will be ready in august. Next litter will be labs next summer. Been a really hot day here today - almost thundery.
Ella still won't do more than 3 steps, just squats down! Don't know if she can';t be arsed or thinks thats the game! Not like it's balance because she doesn't fall
Ads def kicking in,it's taken til now to wake up and feel near human. Been taking them before i go to bed - 11ish. Anyone got any ideas?

numptysmummy · 04/06/2007 17:35

And WI - are there many younger peopple there? Always wondered but never had the balls to go. Anyway, can't make cakes. Crafty bits appeal tho.

jacobandlysette · 04/06/2007 17:36

hiya numptys - i know it took hc a few weeks of taking them in the evening to get used to them in the morning, so it might just be a timing thing.

what about taking them earlier in the evening, say around 7pm? are they ones you have to take after having some food?

jacob has really learnt to wave at everyone now and has a really good hand out when he waves!

how much will the labs be? and i can't remember where you are based - would it be feasible do you think for us to go on your list for one?

Not sure how much they will be - they will be kc reg. She's black and quite little and lady like. Dh works her and she's from good working stock if that matters. Also, obv got a fab temperment with the kids etc. We're in devon. Like i say,it would be next summer as she comes into season at easter or october.
Guess i will stick at it for the mo with the ads - will settle down eventually.

jacobandlysette · 04/06/2007 17:53

give it time with the ads - maybe talk to your doctor (if you can get through to him!) to see if they have any advice on what time of day to take them.

that all sounds great about your dog and her litter next summer - and sounds like she has a good temperament with children too! please do bear us in mind as am serious about it, not just a whim we have been looking into it for a while and thinking about timing, and if it's from someone we know (iykwim even though it's not RL) then even better.

numptysmummy · 04/06/2007 19:33

They'll be fine soon,i've just forgotten what it's like. Had pnd after dd1 and ds1. Thought i was cured as i didn't get it with ds2.Forgot to say i'm in Devon. Will remember you for Maggies pups.

numptysmummy · 04/06/2007 19:42

Pav,hope you're o.k - thinking of you.

MaeWest · 04/06/2007 20:53

Thanks for good luck wishes, think the interview went ok, managed not to say anything too post-natal I think... Have had a letter from ex-employers about paying back mat pay [boo], but they say they are open to negotiation so may not have to pay full amount back.

Pav - sounds like you have a lot on your plate at the moment [understatement]. Try not to stress about the wedding stuff, it will all come together and be lovely. Didn't see the news about your dad, really sorry.

ImpyChica · 04/06/2007 21:35

Glad the interview went ok Mae. Got all my fingers and toes crossed for you.

{{{{{hugs}}}}} Pav. Hope things don't get too on top of you. When it all gets too much just take some time out and focus on your little girl - she'll soon bring a smile to your face.

What is it with my little boy? He's 11 months old tomorrow and still can't sleep through the night.... [yawn]. Looks like we're in for another long night......

KZ I was surprised by how 'professional' I sounded ackshually. Should hear by tomorrow....

Impy - DS doesn't sleep thro, still bf at night. I'm waiting for him to grow out of it and getting used to less sleep. Oh, and surviving on far too much sugar and caffeine. I used to be such a herbal tea and yoga kind of gal

Evening ladies

Sorry I've noy been on for a while. Up and down-you know how it is.

numpty-was a couple of weeks before the fuzzy fog lifted a bit in the morning. ((hugs))

Maewest-fingers crossed hun.

kayzed-oh, those terrible twos, threes, fours etc. Em doesn't get any better with age.

Hello to everyone else-will try and catch up properly. Have got Sophie's 1 year assessment tomorrow which my HV is going to do at my house when she comes to counsel me.

Have got a little job girls-started it tonight. My friend that used to work in the Bank with me has just become a Weight Watchers leader and has asked me to run the sales desk at one of her classes. It is only 2 hours work but I did enjoy it and got a free weigh in and £1-14 salary-lol! Will be on my own next week so the pressure will be on.

When I got home tonight there were 9 baby ducklings paddling in my pond. Am so excited as I've never had ducks before. Have just been topping the pond up with water so they get a better paddle due to me having safety gridding on the surface.

Love to all. Struggling to sleep at night so feel tired then get to bed and wide awake-grrrhhh!!!

Night
