Numpty - that meant to say Well Done Ella, not Well Ella!

numptysmummy · 02/06/2007 09:04

Good morning, vvvvvvvvvv hungover. Infact, not entirely sure i'm sober enough to be hungover.Went out with dh and a couple of friends. Old enough to know better! Luckily little sis is here looking after dcs. Dh has gone fishing - probally curled up asleep on the bank.
The test for cf is a sweat test to measure the salt levels sorry, can't remeber the exact way they do it,x-rays and lung function tests. It can't nbe detected before birth.
DD1 was tested when she was a baby. There are other symptoms too like failure to thrive and unusual poo.
Am going to lick ice and drink lots of water, will catch up later.

TheGoddessBlossom · 02/06/2007 15:56

ooooh numpty, sympathies. Was feeling a bit seedy myself this morning, but forced myself and DH to drink 3 pints of water each when we got in from dinner with friends last night (Dh can't remember doing it - he is terrible with memory loss when drinking) and it does see to have helped both of us.

Gorgeous weather here today. I havr=e just spent £150 in Next on Summer clothes. Very Very naughty but oh so much fun. Only had the spot boy with me as DH took H to have some lunch somewhere, and Toby is such an angel. I luuuuuurve shopping. No more now though for a bit....

Going out for our tea tonight with the boys so no cooking for DH and cleaning up for me, bliss.

KZ - good luck hon. Wonder what's up with Chilli then... Have heard from quite a few people recently that the 3s piss all over the Terrible 2s in terms of bad behaviour.....great, I thought H was bad (although interestingly he is 10 times worse when DH is around...) How does your DH deal with Chilli? Or is discipline your job? Any gems of wisdom you glean please pass my way (or is that a bit like paying you to do my homework....) Hugs hon.

KBaby - I'm with you on the journey to Warwick Castle but am hoping to go on to my cousins after for the night. Do you know my bigger problem? I am married to a technophobe neanderthal who thinks the internet is the tool of the devil and peadophiles (sp) and when I announce I am taking his two precious sons miles away to meet up with a load of people I've never met he will hit the roof. I know - I feel like you are all my freinds and I know you, but he won't see it like that. Will have to put my thinking cap on and figure out a way to make him think it was his idea in the first place that's usually the way round his intolerance/scorn for anything outside his understanding....my sister has met up with her friends from her thread on Handbag, will have to use that as an example....

Have great weekends all, hope you feel better soon Numpty, down the hatch Annie!

Bloss

xx

FirstAtForty · 02/06/2007 17:06

Hi Girls
Just a quick one re the meetup - sorry to be a total pain in the bum but re weekend of 27-29 July, the only time I could do is after the weekend, anytime from Tues 31 July. Would that fit in? That particular weekend is my one big work commitment of the year, no time off at all between Mon 22 and Mon 30 July, and no getting out of it

Bloss - congrats on doing WELL over a ton in Next - in one shot! I'd be very tempted to do the same if only I could find that many clothes that I like/fit in one go, v difficult at the moment grrrrr.

kz - good luck with the reading and with Chili. xx I'm so dreading the tantruming stage, I just know that I'll be one of those parents that totally loses all reason and calm, and probably when we're out somewhere really public

Numpty - hope you're feeling better now! And congrats to Ella

Curry and red wine night tonight - mmmmm. Though have just polished off a cheeky mid afternoon G&T as Emma's having a nap, hurrah. Oh, can hear her screaming, better wobble off upstairs...

Have good evenings all xxx

jacobandlysette · 02/06/2007 17:07

o'h numpty you poor thing! and bloss - what a great hangover cure

i wasn't too bad this morning despite sinking a bottle of red on a diet of raw fish last night. the sushi was great though - yummmmmmmmm

yes annie it is another thing i will have to give up. tonight dh is out again and i am having crab for dinner with white wine and probably some very rare steak - lots of treats for me at the moment as i have to give up all the things i love when i am pg! and dh doesn't have to give up anything, in fact his booze consumption goes up because he is the only one drinking in the house!

had a day outside today - sat in the park and read and played with jacob, who is being particularly wingey, and is acting like he's hungry but won't take any milk (has only had 7oz today ). had a good breakfast and lunch though so maybe that's it. it's going to be baking in his room tonight, poor little guy although he doesn't seem to mind.

has a date been suggested for warwick castle, and I am in the same position bloss - dh said "i'm not happy about you going unless it's in london", because of course the whole world revolves around him and london , so have to think of a way to get around it. also with the move, holiday, building works etc he's likely to give me hell about a big day trip out on the train! but will try, promise.

TheGoddessBlossom · 02/06/2007 18:12

Numpty you are talking scribble - That is exactly what I do when I am drunk, hence, you are clearly still drunk!!

jacobandlysette · 02/06/2007 18:25

i would kill for some adult fun, in a public house with other adults!!!!

sohappyicouldcry · 02/06/2007 21:28

Am I the only sober one here ???????

Went to park today and had "picnic" (consisted of buttie for me and jar, yogurt, raisins, carrot sticks, milk and water for titch - heaven knows how she doesn't out weight on!!). It was absolutely gorgeous in the sunshine. Poor DH missed most of it as he was tucked up in bed (on nights over wkend).

Feel really guilty today, she was stood up holding onto the stool in front of the tv (put there to stop her from messing/touching tv), then she tried to climb up onto it, wobbled and toppled into fireplace. She's now nursing a bruise around her eye .

Oldest stepson (17 in army) taking us out for lunch tomorrow, so fingers crossed for good weather again......

Morning ladies!!

I really must try and get on this thread more often.I do try but you lot are so chatty it takes ages to catch up and then i am so aware that i forget to mention lots of you and i get

I am bloody knackered.DH was doing his extra job(drives a taxi) last night till 1.30am this morning.I waited up as i was feeling v v v horny. So didn't get to sleep till gone 3am and dd1 decided to get me up at 6.30am.Am trying to keep her quiet now so she doesn't wake Dh and dd2 and the boys.Am meeting my friend at the gym at 9.30am so can't even go back to bed boo hoo!!!

Looking at a new car today too.I need a bigger car,atm i have a Toyota Yaris which is too small for the girls and 1 mindee.DH has a Mercedes Vito which is kinda like the van in the A-Team,i have never driven it cos it's huge and it's also an automatic and it's too scary!! However he persuaded me to have a go on Friday and it is now my car lol.Still gonna get a new one but will drive it till we find a Mercedes Estate(7 seater)

Eilidh is teething atm.She still has NO TEETH!! Think she may have some soon tho lol.
She eats really well, just eats what we have now.Eats pizza etc with the other dc.Still co-sleeping,bfing 1/2 during the night and bfing during the day again too, prob cos she is teething i think.
She is bum shuffling and leaning forward on hands and knees but not crawling yet.

I am still on my diet(yawn) if i lose a pound this week i will have a whole st to go to get to my target weight.Don't know if it will ever happen mind you.Have only lost 4lbs since i got married so going very slowly.

Hope you girls are all doing well.Tis so hard to keep up with you.KZ hope Chilli has been good this weekend and giving you a break.

Better go get organised for the gym(groan)

numptysmummy · 03/06/2007 10:51

Morning, still slightly blurry here but thats the ads, didn't drink last night. Honest!!!
Getting things ready for the puppies, they're due on friday!! V exciting! Kids couldn't give a toss though - they're like will it be like when the kittens where born? Ah,boring then.
Ella is sooo cuddly at the mo. She keeps reaching for dh if i'm holding her and cuddling and kissing him. Which is very similar to eating you but with a ahhhhhh noise. And much snot at the moment, gust!
No more teeth yet, despite nasty nappies - really thought she was brewing some more in there.

numptysmummy · 03/06/2007 19:09

Summat i said???

sohappyicouldcry · 03/06/2007 19:39

Crikey, I come on tonight, and I hardly have to read anything to get up-to-date !! where are you all ??
We had a lovely lunch today, in pub up on the top of huge hill where you can everywhere. DD fascinated with everyone coming & going, even had horses and dogs to look at and "talk" to as well.
Stepsons came as well. Oldest one was supposed to be buying lunch, but we couldn't let him do that could we, so he bought the drinks instead (we were all on soft drinks as I was driving and DH working AGAIN tonight).
Still no teeth here. Keep trying to inspect every day, the little bumps seem to be getting bigger, but still no shiny whites.
Better go and sort out some tea for me (hardly seems worth it for one). DD playing happily in playpen, so need to take my chance now !

Will check back in again later..... hope you're all back by then !

sohappyicouldcry · 03/06/2007 19:40

Thought the * was supposed to make it bold ??? What am I doing wrong ??

hello ?

SleepIsForTheWeak · 03/06/2007 20:03

ooer, it is quiet isn't it?
We had a lovely day today - isn't this weather fab fab fabulous?
My little man is no longer a whining bad tempered baby -thank the lord - I was beginning to think his personality had changed. Back to his happy self again. Also no teeth yet but one very swollen / white area at the front so we are hoping for at least one before his first birthday! And I have become obsessed with what to buy him for his present!

Numpty - what sort of puppies are you having - or your dog rather?

sohappy - sounds liek you had a lovely day too, sorry you are all alone now tho

Just popped over to my neighbours for a bottle of wine - she is so lovely what a difference it makes having a neighbour you get along with!

Guess you are all busy having wonderful Sunday evenings!
x

SleepIsForTheWeak · 03/06/2007 20:04

We haven't heard from UsAndNoSleep for a while, hope she is OK. If you are reading this, Us.... "Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii"!

PavlovtheCat · 03/06/2007 21:10

Evening ladies. Just catching up on the thread, talk about talkative!

I will try to post in relation to the threads in a bit.

I am soooooooo stressed it is unbeleivable. I seem to have so much to do and I just feel quite overwhelmed . Do you mind if I list them, get it all off my chest? I am sorry but it might be easier if I get it all out....
Wedding - itself going ok. But still, its a wedding, but, mainly organising flower girls.
Finding somewhere for DPs relatives to stay, coming from USA never been to UK
Dad's funeral - should I go or not
Visiting friend - need to do this, experienced similar things to me - could tie in to funeral trip, but not sure
Organising B&B/hotel trip for DPs birthday/fathers day
My 30th Birthday
Going back to work - sorting out hours
The washing
Paperwork
Finances

Even as we speak DP is talking to his mother is USA telling him that we are sorting the accommodation for the family, dont worry. His brother is nervous a bout driving here and he is telling his mother that he (DP) will pick him from airport, drive him about for a few days etc (shock]. I am like - noooooooooo!

The only factor in my life that is not stressing me out is my dear and most amazing baby girl. Apart from her not wanting to go to sleep as she is too busy playing 'boo'!

Sorry
Ah, it feels better to let it out!

DD's 1st Birthday

PavlovtheCat · 03/06/2007 21:13

Numpty - ah the nappies - I had wondered about why DDs nappies were so awful - she has got another two teeth...8 almost 9 teeth now...she has a proper girl smile!

Algach horny? how do have time? I have had some great sex over the last few weeks, twice to be precise. I just do not feel like it, and I worry as I am about to get married!
