Hi Lysette - dont think of it as a miniscule prob, its your life remember. i agree with you to go to docs. youve been through a lot (jacob being so early, etc) and moving houses is stressful itself without a baby in tow Good Luck!!

jacobandlysette · 29/05/2007 16:59

of course jacob woke up a few mins after i'd posted so there goes the sleep catchup!

and he's yelling with teeth pain as well poor little man

She has got into her box, and winging cos she cant get out again! I best go rescue her!

Aidan 19lb 12oz (10mth today)
Josh 19lb 4oz (10th and 1 wk)
Ella 16lb (10mth 1 wk)
Zack 16lb 11ozs (10 months 2 wks)
Emma 17lb 4oz (10mth 1wk)
Bella - er...dont know was 15lb last time 6 weeks ago. sooo...er...16lb?! (HV annoys me so I stopped going...) (10 months, 29 days)
Charlotte - 20lbs i think (according to my scales - not been to hv for ages either) 10 months 3 weeks
Roshi - 26lb 5oz

kz - I bet Roshi will end up being the leanest and slenderest of the bunch when she's 16 and the others will all be v

Annie ? poor wee Kayley, hope the doc can suggest something useful

Emma does the head bumping thing ? the other day as she hit her head on the coffee table, then kept gently ?re-bumping? where she had hit it ? wtf?! She?s still only crawling backwards, and it?s not even really crawling, more sliding ? she gets about though, just not where she intended to go! She?s v funny when she lies face down and beats her hand on the floor with frustration [mean mummy]

Us ? great that you managed a lunch out with DP

Prettymum ? looks like you had a fab day at Margate, and echo all the emoticons re the bikini

Bloss ? how was IOW?!!

Ceebee ? great news that you dad is out of hospital, and so quickly

Beadmum ? does sound like a bug, hope she?s better soon

Lysette ? what Beadmum said is right, it is really stressful and unsettling moving etc, sounds good that you?ve been talking things over with DH though. Would probably be worth chatting to the doc to see what they say?

Ceebee74 · 29/05/2007 17:38

Pav - wow, standing up - no wonder you are a proud mummy.

KZ - 26lb's - no wonder R is in 2-3 years clothes but they all average out eventually don't they?

Twinkle - congratulations on getting your smear over and done with. Makes me realise that I should get mine done and stop procrastinating as I don't even have the same worries as you. Hope the counselling works for you.

Meet-up was great - a few people dropped out so there was me, Lulumama and another MNer (plus my sis - who is not a Mner - and her 3 kids) - plus children.

Lysette - just to reiterate what others have said - you have got a lot on your plate at the mo so maybe the docs can help you.

Hi to everyone else - this is just a quickie and I will catch up properly later x

jacobandlysette · 29/05/2007 17:53

sorry impy - send me a pack of the bulls testicles and i'll see whether dh likes them??? he professes to be the least picky eater we know so..... [troublemaker mummy emoticon]

and french, sorry meant to reply to your question about milk - although i stopped bf at 6 months, jacob has 3 7oz bottles a day - and at the moment a bit more still, although i am cutting out his afternoon milk and replacing it with a snack so he has more food and less milk. it's supposed to go down to about 500ml by the time they're about 12 months, so i'm told.

and finally caught up on the pics - pretty you look fab - no baby weight at all! i make sure I'm the one always taking the photos

although i've lost another 2 lbs so I'm 11st 2 now

TheGoddessBlossom · 29/05/2007 19:23

well I've give it my best shot but ended up skim reading the last lot of posts, as I do want to go to bed at some point tonight!!! Blimey we talk alot on here. God knows what I'm going to do when I go away for two weeks in July, I'll never catch up!

Sorry to all those I do not mention, but just a few quick ones:

CB so sorry about your Dad's heartattack! Hope he is on the mend...

Pav - sorry didn't see what has happened to your Dad ...

Anni, have I mentioned you are bonkers? ROFL at your pished poshts...

IOW was great on the whole:

Pros - caravan was great, IOW is really lovely, beautiful coast lines, nice beaches, pubs etc.

Cons - KBaby I'm with you on DH's being one more child. He took at least 24 hours to get used to Harry's ways and we had quite a few explosions on Friday....weather was ATROCIOUS for 85% of it. We are both totally exhausted in looking after two very small children in the pouring rain. Am definitely taking my laptop with me when we go away in July, so at least H can watch DVDs if we are desparate....we were defintely the only caravan up and at 'em at 6am....

So - I'm home. Am on 3rd lot of washing already with at least 3 to go.

have MISSED you lot!

will try and read all posts proprely later.

xxxxxxxxx

PS - will weigh Toby tomorrow, will be interested to see what Leo is, Toby is 9 and a half months, I reckon he can't be far off Roshi's weight, maybe a bit less.....

TheGoddessBlossom · 29/05/2007 19:35

Pav/LMP - just found your thread about your Father. So sorry. What alot you have had to deal with. Your shining little girl must seem all the more special and precious and untainted by the crap life has to throw at us, and rightly so. She is lucky to have you.

jom · 29/05/2007 20:53

OMG Haven't been on all weekend - have been reading for ages and am only up with you lot until sunday night! Will take me ages to catch up but luckily DH just called on the way home (via the pub) so I should have the time.... will check in again when i've made it through

oh bless you KZ, don't even TALK to me about it, I said to DH "shall I take it?" and got the raised eyebrows, and the "No! Don't bother, be fine, just leave it!!" Boy does he wish we'd taken it. I now know how much I rely on Sky Kids!!

Toby is sooooooooo nearly crawling - he actually managed it for about 4 paces upsatirs this afternoon, but when I took him down to show DH he went flat on his tummy and beached himself as usual, so DH thinks I was making it up...

Toby woke up at 5.45am crying this morning, rammed up against the travel cot, which is NOT big enough for him - unusual of him to be crying, but it continued ALL day, whinge moan, whinge moan, nothing helped, not a sleep, calpol, food, nothing. MOST unlike him, and it took three attempts to get him down tonight, I am putting it down to tiredness or teeth

Out tomorrow night for dinner with the girls, hurray.

Dh has just told me that I do not look dissimilar to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall... WTF??

tee hee kz Bloss, is DH on a deathwish or something??!

I too thought of you in your caravan and winced when looking out of the window at the pouring rain on Sunday... hope you packed the vino if not the DVD? Oh well back to civilisation and broadband, hurrah - we missed you too!

Kayzed - I'm sure they won't have obesity problems, they both eat very healthily from what you've said (and they look very healthy and lovely in the pics) - they'll just be packing some reserves for shooting upwards growth wise.

PavlovtheCat · 29/05/2007 22:42

OMG Blos - Does your DH never want sex with you again? Remind him of it when you are too tired for sex! Then he will let you sleep!!

jacobandlysette · 30/05/2007 08:28

good one kz bloss sounds like a bit of a nightmare you poor things! it does take dh/dps a while to see what is actually involved doesn't it?

good news is that last night the little man slept until 330 before waking up and then went till 630, when dh got my very huge hints and played with him for 30 mins so i had a bit of a lie in!

it's raining again today.....

stay dry everyone - is this the summer over and done with already???

does anyone have a MIL who insists on giving unwanted baby rearing advice???? mine is just taking the biscuit now...

sorry short rant done with now!

jacob down for a nap again

MaeWest · 30/05/2007 10:21

My MIL is generally ok, but has come out with a few things - e.g. when DS was 5 days old 'Well, we used to put babies to sleep on their fronts, and both my boys were fine...'. She is currently obsessed with babywalkers...

Well, big news from me is that I am now officially unemployed . I resigned from work yesterday, not going back when my leave finishes. I had hoped to be made redundant, but they managed to offer me a job (bastards!). I am currently awaiting a request for me to repay my additional mat pay, which will be a bit of a hit financially . However, I do have an interview on Monday to work for a charity in a PR role. It's 2 days a week, flexible, really interesting work... salary is less than I was earning before but I'm getting that spark of excitement, which had definitely died with my ex-employers. Hope I remember what to do!

kbaby · 30/05/2007 10:25

Twinkle- DS is in a mixture of 6/9 and 9/12 and just grown out of 3/6 stuff too. He seems to have short arms and legs but a long body so even 6/9 tops are too long in the arm.. Out of interest I looked at the weight the clothes are labled as and in order to be the right weight at the right age bracket he would need to be 91st centile. So no wonder none of them fit.

He still has such a bad chesty cough. Hes had a chest xray which was fine but is on his 2nd lot of antibiotis. It doesn?t seem to have bothered him but he sounds as if hes on 20 a day. Have to go back to gps this week if still no better. Its been like this now since December.
Ds has started to play peek a boo, he covers his eyes with his hands and pulls them down in a fit of giggles. He also gives you a great big slobbery kiss if you ask him. Gorgeous, he is my little bundle of cuteness and im getting quite sad that he is growing so quickly.

Pavlov- The same thing happened to me once I stopped the day feeds. I hope you feel better about it soon and just think about how well you?ve done to get this far.

Bloss- Hope your July holiday goes better, defo take a laptop. Were taking a portable DVD player when we go away hopefully to keep DD occupied long enough that we can have a rest.
Lynsette- That?s what MIL are there for!

Im on a late shift today and DD is in school, so far DS has been asleep since 9am. I cant believe having 1 baby was this easy. No demands of play with me, I want dinner, I want sleeping beauty or any other constant demands. Its peaceful.

kbaby · 30/05/2007 10:27

maewst- Hope they forget about your mat pay and good luck with the interwiew.

HumphreysCorner · 30/05/2007 10:47

Morning ladies

Aidan 19lb 12oz (10mth today)
Josh 19lb 4oz (10th and 1 wk)
Ella 16lb (10mth 1 wk)
Zack 16lb 11ozs (10 months 2 wks)
Emma 17lb 4oz (10mth 1wk)
Bella - er...dont know was 15lb last time 6 weeks ago. sooo...er...16lb?! (HV annoys me so I stopped going...) (10 months, 29 days)
Charlotte - 20lbs i think (according to my scales - not been to hv for ages either) 10 months 3 weeks
Roshi - 26lb 5oz
Sophie 17lb something (weighed her on my scales this morning)

Well, didn't sleep at all last night DH had me looking at Vitaras on Ebay and we found a gem so E-Mailed the owner and offered him £500 less so that we don't have to ask FIL to borrow as much money. On my mind all night and this morning he has said no! Not surprising really. It ends at 1pm today so doesn't give us much time so will try and forget it. Also, got to call in to MIL's this morning as DH left Em's trainers there yesterday. Mum will be with me so hopefully won't be too bad.

MIL's are officially here to give unwanted advice and just be irritating in general.

Welcome back Bloss

Maewest-that's a bugger about your job and having to pay your maternity pay back. Hope you get your new dream job.

I should have been going back to work this week so worrying about that and I'm not even going back FGS!!! DH told me to keep taking the tablets.

Better get on-need to make a ham sandwich for Sophie's lunch when we go to the cafe (the one where I lost it with Em last week).

Have a good day.

pav - cute typing by dd, dh had charlotte tying on word doc the other day and has saved it as he said it is her first How is bellas cold, charlotte ate her tea lst night and seems happier today, she woke up later again, lasted over 3hrs before morning nap (unheard of) and is still sleeping now, better to be sleeping than grumping though
also i have started giving dd food like that (on her tray) since she wouldnt let me feed her so gave her leftover pork casserole last night, big chunks of pork and pepper, she ate it all, i was so proud

lysette - well done on the weight loss, i have been terrible since easter (too much chocolate to eat ) but have been back on track this week

bloss - so much for relaxing break, pity about the rain, glad you had good time though

maewest - good luck with the job interview

kbaby - poor ds, hope the ab's work and he is better soon

hc - i would have been due back at work next week and keep thinking about it, but so glad not to be going back now, but very weird feeling still. crap employer anyway as they still havent even acknowledged my resignation, sent letter about 4 weeks ago, also phoned but it was a new girl that didnt even take my details because i told her a letter was on its way

re MIL's - mine is ok most of the time but whenever i tell her anything about charlotte i get told how shes been there with her boys, etc and it was obviously harder for her cos she had 3 and i only have 1, blah, blah, blah. But then she also likes to add she had a hysterectomy (sp?) so my c-section was nothing (recovery time - what for?) youve never done anything shes not and was always worse for her basically, aarrrggg

ok, charlotte awake now so better go, have a good day ladies xx
