Hi all

Nope, haven't heard from Glitterkitty. Do you think I should text her?

Bought a baby carrier last week. Orginally wanted to get a sling type one, but ds2 hated it - cried as soon as he went in it, til he was out. So on the recommendation of my friend, I've got the Tomy Freestyle, which he LOVES, and its v easy to put on/use.

Did anyone else feel a bit sad/emotional when they've been discharged from mw care? Had my last appt this morning, and felt a bit lost when she left. Maybe its because I got on so well with all of them, or maybe because I might never have the need to see a mw again?

Ds2 has def turned into a milk monster Up until last weekend, he had one breast per feed. Now he he wants both! Guzzler But we can see a routine starting to develop, thank god

Ummm, can't remember much else

xx

Sexonknackeredlegs · 10/05/2007 11:58

Morning all. God what a lot of posts.

Lovely to see so many people on here now.

Have been thinking about Smole a lot - has anyone heard from her?

CD, hope you are recovered after your hectic day.

Dooby, love the name change!!

Runny, glad thngs have settled down a bit for you.

MIAST, B keeps practically lying on top of K as well, and it drives me mad. She is trying to be helpful, but sometimes I wish she would just leave me to get on with it.

God, have forgotten everything else I have read - apologies!

Am totally knackered today. K was a nightmare yesterday evening. Feeding on and off between 8.00 and 11.00 p.m. and then threw up all over dh! I think he overfed her - at least am hoping that is it, and not a bug, as she is still having yukky poo. He had enough and just put her in her room, and fortunately she fell asleep. I kept waking up every hour to check on her, and gave her a bottle at about 4.30 ish. Dh then had to get up at 5.15 to go to London, and then B came in at 6.30. Don't know why I bothered going to bed!!

Just been in to work to introduce K to my colleagues. Of course she slept the whole time!

Hope everyone is ok. Apologies again for not mentioning everyone.

Lots of love to you all. xx

AngeG · 10/05/2007 12:11

Hello Ladies.

Hope you've all managed to have a wee get showered etc

I too have been wondering about Smole and Jesse and also Isabelly my other buddy because I haven't heard anything from her since the text from her DH when James was born. Has she posted at all?

Do you think I should text smole? I only have a landline number for Isabelly and am worried about disturbing her. Suppose I could email them both?

I just can't keep up on here anymore
Congratulations to bumble. Hope you are recovering well.

Have had a good morning this morning. DH took Jake to work with him and hasn't brought him back yetThink Izzy may be having a growth spurt. She fed 2hourly all day yesterday and all night.

Bramshott - Izzy spends most of her awake time crying or being cuddled, she doesn't like being in her chair.

Have started driving a little this week and have to say it has made my stomach muscles ache a lot especially at night. I remember it was the same last time, but there is only so much time I can spend in the house or relying on other people to ferry us all around.

Even though I'm not on her often I do think of you all a lot.

Lots of love to you all xxxx

EllieKthePA · 10/05/2007 12:15

please ange, don't worry about keeping up, don't let that put you off coming on, just come on and let us know how you are xx

hi all, have caught up on some of today but no more! would like to say dylan is also sharing the psychic connection by being clingy and feeding loads but unfortunately that is just normal behaviour for him! although last night i put him in moses basket at half 11 and he slept til half 1 then i brought him into bed to feed him and we fell asleep til half 3 then again til half5 which is pretty good! Especially considering we also had a very poorly nathan in wth us. he is now completely covered in spots he has them in his ears, nose, mouth and eye so had to go dr this morning and got eye drops for him. poor little boy is so miserable but piriton seems to be helping. and dr assured me dylan will have immunity from me so definitely wont get it which is a relief.

I really fancy one of those bacon burgers, do you think macdonalds are targetting post-natal women on purpose?! Cos seems very unethical to me! I am soo hungry, all the time and finding it really hard to find a balance between eating enough to keep milk up but not eating so much i put weight on like i did previous 2 times bfing. think tiredness makes it worse too.

Hi Ange, lovely to see you. Thanks for texting Smole.

Pesha, really sorry poor Nathan has the pox. What timing eh? Hope he isn't feeling too awful and gets over it soon. x

Luce, cannot begin to think how you are coping with the house move and related stress. Huge hugs to you.

CaptainDippy · 10/05/2007 13:37

Nightmare over - girls at nursery!! P FINALLY fell asleep in sling at about 12pm, so transferred her to cot and she is STILL there - hurrah - so posting quickly, before I manically run around like a headless chicken, tyring to do three thousand things before she wakes up again!!!!!!

Reassuring to know it is not just me though!

Erm.

Erm.

Hope Smole texts back, it would be great to know how her and Jesse are getting on - and Isabelly too - and all the others who seem to have fallen by the wayside .....

Great to be here on P/N though!

can't hold it in any longer, baby GK is in the world, has been since Monday

not saying anymore tho, will leave that for Runnyhabit, don't want to rob her of the excitement

mammyjo · 10/05/2007 14:30

Congrats to GK and bumble! Are there any more mummies still waiting or has everyone made it over to post natal now?

Hi Ange, good to see you. I never keep up properly either!

SOKL, hoping you have a better night tonight. I often wonder why I bothered going to bed in the first place too!

Much better night here last night thanks to the miracle blanket after Birdie mentioning it yesterday. At least I hope it was the blanket and not a fluke! Ffion fed at 7pm and fell asleep on me by quarter to eight. Stayed on me til half nine at which point I wanted to go to bed. Took her upstairs and dh wrapped her in the blanket but we both assumed she wouldnt stay there long and would want feeding. She stayed there til just before 1am!!! After that feed she settled back and went through til 5am. I had to wake her this morning at 8am to feed her before taking ds to school!! Hoping we get more nights like that one!!

Bramshott · 10/05/2007 14:30

Thanks for all your support as ever ladies! Actually, she's been quite a lot better today (must have read my post!), or maybe I'm just more chilled and not at the end of my tether yet - give me till 6.00 maybe?!

I am considering a new sling as it seems maybe babywearing is the way to go. The one I have is a 4 year-old mothercare one and tbh it;s not that comfy and makes my back ache. Sling-goddesses amongst you, what would you recommend?!? I guess one that I could feed her in would probably be a good idea as yesterday she was refusing to feed, and then as soon as I put her in the sling, going mad and trying to burrow through my top!

Have just read Vio's post on the other thread - my god, it's heartbreaking isn't it, and makes you feel so, so lucky.

Oh shit, Orla yelling again so better go and pretend I am a good parent .
