Nutty - I left some info on your coccyx pain on the last thread .....

Bramshott - Erin is generally good in that she tends to just sleep and feed but have been noticing that she's getting more awake recently and when she is, she's quite noisy (not really screaming but a bit grumpy which turns into screaming if she's not picked up/given a dummy). She's also discovered the fun of spitting dummy out every 2 mins and crying til she gets it back, then spitting it out again....and so on

Mammyjo - I got a hotslings pouch from Little Possums, haven't tried Erin in it yet as most of the instructions are on a dvd and I need DH to show me how to play them (we use the playstation and it's all too complicated with all his electrical stuff!!!). I'll let you know how we get on!

Anyone know how often is normal for babies to fart? Erin farted for about an hour last night and grumbled about it! Is it something we're doing that causes it (e.g. type of formula, feeding technique)

Sexonknackeredlegs · 09/05/2007 18:22

Hiya ladies.

Lovely to see Ooogs and KHIN! You 2 make me lol!! God love ya twin mummies.

EM, hope your positive mood stays around hun.

Bramshott, sorry to hear things are a bit pants with Orla. Hopefully just a phase as they say.

K is reasonably contented, but like MIAST and Robyn, she isn't awake much.

Not sure that her bowels are great again as had a bright yellow runny poo, and had to have a total change of clothes when we were out today.
I just don't get it - B was on formula and her poo was never yellow or runny. She was on SMA Gold tho. I am half tempted to switch K back on to this but worried that the constant change won't do her much good either.

The joys.

Need to head as stuff to do, but really hope everyone is bearing up and will catch up later on. x

Agree with the sleeping on front thing.Milo would sleep really well if i let him do that.Just not practical is it?
Ds1 is also home educated but we allowed for the fact that the first few months[years!]wou;d be tricky!
Hope George is ok good news re consultant.I forget what i wanted to say but hope you are all ok[as much as poss anyway]I am KNACKERED

Katy44 · 09/05/2007 18:25

T farts all the time after a feed! The first time he did it he looked petrified like he thought his insides were coming out! Now he looks pleased with himself I just assumed it was normal.

nuttygirl · 09/05/2007 18:29

hmm...it just seems that it's causing him a little pain from the noises he makes but maybe it's cos it's not ladylike !

nuttygirl · 09/05/2007 18:29

that should say her and she

Katy44 · 09/05/2007 18:33

Thought I was the only one who referred to my ds by the wrong sex every now and again
I did wonder whether little girls were quite as uncouth
I suppose if she's windy she could have a bit of pain, sounds as though she knows how to get rid of it though!

octo · 09/05/2007 18:35

i already call mine the wrong names

doobypoo · 09/05/2007 18:37

I love the fact that babies can fart and poo with such gusto and no inhibitionsOf course the boy babies will still be able to be like that when thay are adults
Love the reference to babies behaving like bastards

Katy44 · 09/05/2007 18:38

I called T "Bump" for the first few days - DH almost set up a swear box equivalent for each time I did it!

Katy44 · 09/05/2007 18:38

doobypoo - are you whendoobygotstuck?

doobypoo · 09/05/2007 18:40

I have called Milo after the dogs and ds1He is now wailing...just for a change[not]

doobypoo · 09/05/2007 18:44

Yes doobypoo is whendoobygotstuck...it has taken me 5 months to think of such a witty nameI feel like iam covered in poo or sick most days[i dont remember this with ds1].
It reminds me of a friend i worked with.We looked after elderly people and assisted them with trips to the loo etc.and once she thought she had marmite on her wrist and licked it..........it wasn'tAt least we can't make the same mistake with neon yellow poos

nuttygirl · 09/05/2007 19:04

Eurgh....dooby, that's gross!

Kneehighinnappies · 09/05/2007 19:13

Everyone seems to call poor old lola by the wrong name she gets called layla and alot of zola why is this?
I means really, who would call twins Zed and Zola

bubblez · 09/05/2007 19:26

Hello all,

Just a quick post to start as I'm not sure how much time I will have before Tianna wakes up.

Congratulations to all and their new arrivals hope that you are all doing well. (will try to catch up in a mo)

All is well in bubblezland, not enough hours in the day! It seems to take me on average three hours to get housework done, two children under five and myself ready to go anywhere . Might have to wake up at 6.00am when Mia starts nursery in sept ........

Have been out and about a lot recently (my reason for not being on line) as my cousin came over from france and have been about visiting family etc. Also Mia behaves better when she is occupied and fusses over the baby less, which is sometimes a relief.

On another note Tianna has been gripey and colicy and the last time I was on there was talk of some kind of massage that helps, PLEASE PLEASE whoever it is that knows of this PLEASE can you teach me sometimes Gripe water just doesnt do anything.

Ok will try to catch up now before T wakes up and screams at me.

Bugmum · 09/05/2007 19:34

Oh God, NO, Gabe certainly isn't lying there gurgling contentedly. I started baby-wearing today, which I have to say made a massive difference. mammyjo - have you tried a slightly more upright hold? So they are still cradled, but not directly across you, more like this / Then you need one hand behind them for some things (like bending over), but otherwise is nice and secure if the head is supported against the body. I have a serious investment in making this work for me, as I can't really let Gabe cry much without doing something to try to stop it, what with DS1's reactions to that (less hysterical, but still not good).

octo - loved your advice to me last night re a glass or two of wine...am sure I've seen similar advice from you in the past I thought the first post-partum glass would have me tipsy (it did with DS1), but actually I was fine. Although given I used to be a serious party animal, I can't believe how excited I get by the odd glass or two these days...

Hope everyone is getting through the days okay. I've been concerned about weeonion, as well.
xx

Bugmum · 09/05/2007 19:36

bubblez - you need to look up cranial osteopathy (sp?????). I have friends who took their babies, and they said the difference was amazing.

Bugmum · 09/05/2007 19:38

bubblez - Oh, unless you mean the tummy massage some people were talking about way back when...about which I know nada

nuttygirl · 09/05/2007 19:43

Bubblez - you do housework , where do you find the time?????

bubblez · 09/05/2007 19:49

hiya bugmum, yes i mean the tummy massage..... I cant even remember who it was that was talking about it it was so long ago Might have to keep mentioning it until whoever was talking about it comes on

Bramshott - Tianna does have some moments where she is awake and happy and gurgling etc but whenever it is just me and dd1 in the house she is grizzly and only happy when i have her in my arms.... i think its cos she knows that im on my own and dealing with her and a three year old

eca · 09/05/2007 19:50

miast - that's soooo sweet of phil. made me fill up.; What with him and octo's rocks dh is getting nervous!

hi twin mummies oggs and KHIN! Ya doing great girls!

nutty - lol at calling Erin he!! For the 1st few days we kept calling T by the name of our dn! I think he was the only baby we'd been used to cooing over.

hi everyone else. Brain like a sieve. Dooby, bugmum, bubblez, SOKL, Katy and octo good to see you!

Bramshott - T is sometimes good and cooing in his cot, but we noticed he really changed over the weekend when he was ill with oral thrush. Hope orla is better soon.

Ellie - did Joe have thrush?? Are you having probs bf?

eca · 09/05/2007 19:52

bubblez - could you pop along to the library and get a book about it????

bubblez · 09/05/2007 20:00

NG - i dont have a choice with the housework i cant stand to be in the house with dishes, dirty laundry, unmade beds ec.... it does mean that i dont get to eat breakfast until lunch time tho.. but im on slim fast now so it doesnt really make a difference to me...

eca diddnt really think of that

ok tianna has woken up again must dash.....
speak soon hopefully
take care
xxxxxxx

CaptainDippy · 09/05/2007 20:08

OMGoodness - I am going to go and have a f&%$ing massive glass of wine in a minute ..... I am exhausted!!* Dad came down and I fed him, DD2 and myself, got everyone ready to go out, then went and got DD1 from Pre-School & and then spent afternoon in soft play before returning home to cook dinner, wash up, dry up, put away, sweep floor, tidy and clean kitchen, bath children, dress children, feed DD3, put children to bed .... DH is out tutoring someone now and DD's 1 & 2 are soooo excited about having seen grandad that they are completely bouncing off the walls - Thank goodness DD3 is sleeping at least ..... I feel like I have been hit by a ten tonne truck!!

Ahem!

Sorry about that ladies!!

How's everyone doing????
