EAH sorry I compleletely missed that post althouh how I dont know I hope E settles in soon, it is normal and DS has been through that stage. Even now if they have been off like at easter he is a little bit subdued when he has to go in.

RE. the suncream I have been using banana boat baby cream...have a spare one if anyone wants it for £3[usually £8] which includes postage. Only because I cant use it on the other 2 with their sentisitive skin so had to pay out for Aveeno for them.

Well jabs went well...didnt cry from the first one but he did on the second. Refused to speak to the HV after that aswell..lol However he said afterwards it wasnt too bad and his arms are better now. Have been to toys r us for the coveted playmobil car and also for a macdonalds so may be why he is happy!!! I completley forgot that Chloe would be getting 3 this time, poor mite her little legs are all bruised. She was weighed and is coming in just under the 9th centile as she is 12lbs exactly. Luckily this time they didnt bother to mention faliure to thrive and instead said well she seems happy enough!!

Think I am over vigilant as I use thephil and teds shade and also put suncream on but that might be because last year when H was 4mths old DH managed to get her face so badly sunburnt it blistered and we were referred to surgical consult as to whether it would scar!!! Wouldnt mind the day it happened was not even sunny or warm but dh stupidly turned her in the pram towards the sun to 'keep her warm'She was in a snowsuit with blankets and everything

canmummy · 02/05/2007 16:01

My afternoon has been spent hunting for the children's birth certificates as dh asked me a while ago to put them together to open them all a bank account. He's now "misplaced" them. So in the morning I'm back down the registry office to get another copy for lo's passport. I then got a letter from the school dd2 is starting in September to say they need her birth certificate too! They were born in different towns so can't pick them up at the same time grrr.

Nemo glad jabs went ok today, I've got lo's 2nd set tomorrow 3 weeks late as rubbish dr's couldn't give me an appointment on time. Mine is just below 9th centile too but so was my 1st so I'm not at all woried.

Lizz - she is going to live in Hangleton, Hove - do you know it? She is very lovely

Dragonhearyt and Rgee start their very own OAP Gardening Club. Canmummy and Hattie sit in rocking chairs on the porch knitting whilst watching them merrily garden at dusk with their torches. Lizz trundles out of the kitchen door on to the porch saying 'Hello dear, try some of my wicked lemon drizzle cake....' Ahhhh, bless the old MNers.

PCF, Wilkie and Urban drink White Lightening at the very back of the garden behinf the shed where noone can see them. UD has brought her bong too....

Wilkie · 02/05/2007 16:16

My BF is coming in a bit to say goodbye. Think there will be tears

Nemo2007 · 02/05/2007 16:16

does that mean I lurk somewhere in the middle of the garden by the pond with some wine..

ellieandhattie · 02/05/2007 16:22

nemo, you,me and laughalot are around same age so we sit on the patio chairs in the middle of the garden tutting about the youngsters at the end and moaning about the oldies at the top whilst attempting to regain a little bit of our youth

Nemo2007 · 02/05/2007 16:25

oh thank god EAh I am not the only one who does that..pmsl.. I watched that skins on e4 and half of me was like go remember when I was like that then the other half was like..god why was I like that

RGee · 02/05/2007 16:46

PMSL Wilkie. I hate gardening! . However, I will happily be one of those pissed old farts in a rocking chair on the patio hurling abuse at the youngsters cos I'm so old I don't give a toss any more

Lizzzombie · 02/05/2007 16:50

Wilkie - I live in Hove. Hangleton is a 10 minute bus trip for me up the road or a 20 minute walk. (ish) Tell her I live on the seafront opposite the King Alfred centre. More than happy to meet up with her. Its not like I have any friends...even my online ones insult my mature age.
Too bad you'll be behind the shed with your white lightening and a bong..you'll be missing out on my cake...yum.
Actually am going to make some fairy cakes tomorrow, to impress my new SIL. Have brought lots of fancy decorations and may make icing with vodka instead of water.

Lizzzombie · 02/05/2007 16:52

...do reckon a batch of fairy cakes will make it in a car journey from Hove to Wales?!

Indeed it is PCF. In fact I walked past it this afternoon on the way back from the Drs. There is a really expensive cafe near it, & you'll never guess who was sat outside!
Norman Cook (aka Fat Boy Slim) or, if you are really old like me & my gang, you may remember him from The Housemartins.
It was one of those "Oh, I'll smile at him coz I think I know him moments"...then you realise a while later that he is actually famous, and you don't know him at all!

RGeee · 02/05/2007 17:18

FatboySlim???? Hmmmm, is he the one that sings that 'Smack your bitch up song???' I like that song...not sure if it's the right person though. Neil Diamond is more my cup of tea

RGeee · 02/05/2007 17:19

Think I scared Vino off with my old wizened appearance!!!!!!!!

hattie2 · 02/05/2007 17:30

RGeee - you've got an extra 'e'! Have you been off name changing like a meddling old woman?!

Dont jest. I LOVE Neil Diamond. A tribute band, "REAL DIAMOND" are playing at Hove Town Hall next week, and they are sold out. I am very upset.
