My child health record book says 1st MMR at 13 months and 2nd MMR at 3 - 5 years but can be given earlier. Does this help?

Lizzzombie · 02/05/2007 11:25

Hattie - you would have had to have started VERY young to be PCFs mum!
PCF - what are you going to do for your birthday?

Hattie - where do you live? Was just reading your frozen fish comment (yes, I am a stalker!) I come from the Kingston area...well, Tolworth - Yes - I AM A CHAV!!
& my sis lives in Thames Ditton.
Do you come from this area? What school did you go to? etc etc etc!

Lizzzombie · 02/05/2007 11:31

Wicked! PCF - tell me how the dogs goes. I've never been but we are planning a night out there soon as you can take babies!

Lizzzombie · 02/05/2007 11:31

Can't believe I just wrote "wicked" I am showing my age. Please excuse me, I am a child of the 80's.

Lizzz - I'm in Teddington now, so the other side of Kingston. Not from round here originally (from Notts, then uni in B'ham before moving down here) so don't know 'your' side of Kingston I'm afraid so can't comment on the chavi-ness!!

RGee · 02/05/2007 11:43

Hattie2 - you have cheered me up no end. I am not the oldest on this thread!! Who-hooo!!

Lizz - sil with a list of questions for you???!!! What's that about? I hope they're 'How many mohitos can you drink in an hour', 'what's your best recipe', 'tell me the funniest poo story you've heard'...

Nemo - fingers crossed for brave DS.

LL - your poor friend. Big . No wonder you're worried after what happened to fil, but he is in the right place. And you're just unlucky to have rubbish sleepers. They love their mum so don't want to go to sleep cos they'll miss you

Wilkie - I reckon shoe shopping will be just what J needs to cheer him up Hope he stops grizzling.

Another bank holiday approaches. My next few days go something like this: this evening - DH doing a 5km run; tomorrow evening - DH playing golf; Friday evening - DH watching football play off leg 1; Saturday - DH wanting to go on a 13 mile run; Sunday - bbq at neighbours hurrahh!; Monday - DH going to Morecambe to watch football play off leg 2.

RGee · 02/05/2007 11:47

PCF - love the dogs but haven't been for over 10 years (probably when you were still at primary school)

Dragonhart · 02/05/2007 11:49

I say wicked all the time Lizz! Does that mean I am sad. Oh dear.

Laughalot sorry about your friend. Your def not a bad mum just because your lo is having probs sleeping at the moment. Sening you some sleepy vibes fopr tonight. xxx

Rgee, lol at the idea of weeding with a torch! Only did one border as it was so bad! Will put pics up when I have finished. Didnt realise it was going to rain this weekend so will have lots to do before the rain on sat.

Hope the jabs are going ok nemo.

Can I ask whether everyone is putting suncream on their babies? I thought that if they we in total shade ie a sun tent or carrycot then they were ok but just read that they should have it on even in the shade. Always douse Luke in sun cream obv but I just dont like the idea of all those chemicals on Ruth's very young skin. But then is she in danger if I dont? What is everyone else doing?

Dragonhart · 02/05/2007 11:51

Rgee, that sound fun I hate sport.

Dragonhart · 02/05/2007 11:51

Love bbqs though!

RGee · 02/05/2007 11:53

It does mean I will be spending all my free time on MN though {grin] Except Sunday!!

hattie2 · 02/05/2007 11:55

Not sure about the suncream thing - a lot of them say '6 months +' on the bottle.

I have put Nivea Children's cream on ds a couple of times when we've been out all day and it was really sunny as that doesn't specify an age limit but I'm not keen on putting anything on his skin really.

RGee · 02/05/2007 11:59

Dragon - I haven't put suncream on when we go out on our walks in the pushchair. She hasn't been in short sleeves yet, but I always put her sunhat on despite her being shaded by pushchair hood and parasol. I haven't taken her onto the rug in the back garden yet either, but if I did I would defo put sun cream on. I got some baby sun cream from Mothercare at an extortionate price.

I've got Tescos factor 50 baby suncream. we have a shade-a-babe on the buggy, so I dont often use it, but if the sun is directly on him I put a blob on.
Just had HV round. She had never heard of the term 'Baby Led Weaning'.
Hattie - I used to live in Hampton Wick, just the other side from Kingston bridge. Next to the newsagent.

canmummy · 02/05/2007 13:23

Well I'm back from getting passport photos and guess what..........

she fell asleep before they could be taken! This seems to be a recurring theme with my lo doesn't it? Anyway, we'd got some on our digital camera that the shop staff said should be ok, took them to the post office to check and they aren't too sure but said to send them anyway! So just filling in the form while she's asleep (I think I'm going to stop mentioning the s word)

Dragon I haven't thought of suncream yet I just make sure she's in the shade in her pram

Bank holiday isn't too bad this time - my dh is a nurse so usually ends up working most of it but he only has to do 2-6pm on the monday - apart from that whole weekend off! We're going to an evening wedding reception on the saturday which I'm so looking forward to as only the 2nd time we've managed to get a babysitter since dd3 arrived. Just need to find something that fits now!

hattie2 · 02/05/2007 13:26

canmummy - they don't have to have their eyes open on the photo if they're under a year old. I had DS's done when he was about 5 weeks old and fast asleep! Already looks nothing like him.

Rgee - all this talk of running inspired me to get off my arse and me (and my zimmer frame!) managed 2 and half miles this morning. Not too bad for the first attempt at exercise in 16 months
