I will have loads of stuff for a car boot sonon (clearing nan's wardrobes bit by bit!) but I have no idea about how do do one/organise/where to go - any hints and tips MRM?

I ahve re-dyed my hair - I did a crap job of it with the red, it faded really quick and I missed bits so now I am a dark purply/red colour, I think it looks much nicer - and will look even better when my skin goes back to it's normal colour - must scrub more tonight!

Flamesparrow · 23/04/2007 15:25

DD and DS are playing sooooooooooo nicely together. I have got a teeny bit of housework done and a pile of shop work

mustrunmore · 23/04/2007 19:49

No idea about ones close to you chloe!! Go and recce a couple first, to make sure they're popular. Then get there really early to set up, as people will start raking through while you're still getting it out of the boxes! Dont price label things, so you dont have to stick to it.Remember people love haggling, even over 10p difference. Take a big float. Get/make some kind of table, else all your stuff will look like a pile of shit after 10mins. But bigger items are fine on a sheet on the floor. Put toys on the floor so kids see them and pester to buy them Clothes hanging are much easier to browse through. Big items can be seen from the other end of the field if they're on your roof!

I did 6km this morning. Slow again, but done at least. Particularly as I'd decided not to run as my kit was still wet... then I tried on my old training bra, which I literally couldnt breathe in when I tried it a few months ago, and it fits now I also fit in a size 14 training top (wouldnt be seen in public, but at least I'm in it). And my drifit leggings kind of fit again too. Despite all this, I still havent lost weight Very odd. Esp as I still look shit

pg, you'll prob be pleased to konw that I dont have my new buggy! It came today, but was faulty, so its on its way back to Boots. Now I'm paranoid it'll get lost in the post or something, and we'll never get our money back!

PhoenixGirl · 23/04/2007 19:55

They sent you a faulty one cos they knew you didn't really want it Costco had a lime one in yesterday for £113.

mustrunmore · 23/04/2007 19:57

Costco had lovely radio flyer wagons in last year for about £60; i was soo tempted! I also really miss getting boxes of fruit leathers; its £8 a box cheaper than buying retail.

2boysmacca · 23/04/2007 20:15

?????

Someone kick me up the arse and get me to do the accounts. I've still got a few hours left to do.

I have a really bad stomach cramp and I can't decide what it is. It really hurts when I stand up and I think it's heading round to my kidneys, but I could just be imagining that. Gonna lie down so see if I can get rid of it (any excuse not to work!)

Chloe55 · 23/04/2007 20:25

Possibly UTI Macca?

Thanks MRM - I wish you could do it for me and I'd give you a cut, sounds far too much like hard work for me, pity you live darn sarf though!

I have had the worst headache today. I knocked my head in the car yesterday turning round to look at ds, I ws wearing glasses at the time and they pushed back into my eye sockets - I now look like I have been fighting (classy) and it has obviously caused my headache today

mustrunmore · 23/04/2007 20:41

Macca, ut a warm thing on it, and drink plenty. That should cover a few possibiblities.
Chloe; yuck. When I first had to wear glasses (a long long time ago!), I used to have nightmares about them shattering into my eyeballs

I'd love to do it for you! And I may be down here, but I dont talk like that I still cant believe my little boy does long a's and everything

Chloe55 · 23/04/2007 20:43

Wondered if I'd get a rise.

2boysmacca · 23/04/2007 20:45

I do not own a hot water bottle or such like! I think I may have to got o bed though, it's getting worse.

My little boys accent is very funny. He definitely has the long a's but his u's are decidedly northern!

mustrunmore · 23/04/2007 20:57

I sold my hot water bottle at the car boot last year But I wouldnt be without my wheat pillow. Ds1 gets called 'my wheatpillow' sometimes too, because he reckons he can hold it, and then I can just hold him! His accent has a few quirks too; he says 'nighttime' with a Cornish accent! God knows why!

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/04/2007 20:59

at not owning a hot water bottle.

We need pics for 2 reasons now Chloe - hair and black eyes!

Feeling dead on my feet now. Spent the afternoon playing with dd in the garden, despite it being wet and muddy. The gardener was here so she had something to watch, and was quite happy playing with her garden toys and eating mud and bark. Nose congested so it's more sudafed before bed for me.

It's the finale of America's Next Top Model tonight for anyone who has taken an interest in it.

mustrunmore · 23/04/2007 21:00

The gardener? You really are posh, arent you?

today, whilst going round Tescos, ds2 ate..... 4 raffle tickets

Chloe55 · 23/04/2007 21:05

In bed CSWS so no pic tonight.

I love Top Model but I Skyplus it and watch it on a tuesday when ds naps instead so don't tell me who wins!

PhoenixGirl · 23/04/2007 21:06

Gardener???

Wish i had a bloody garden never mind a gardener

PhoenixGirl · 23/04/2007 21:08

If i remember i'll take my camera tomorrow chloe

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/04/2007 21:09

Ok, will keep it a secret! I will start watching it in about 15 mins, as I also Sky+ it and get to skip all the adverts if I start behind time.

Gardener is a friend of friend, and just comes once a month - does that make me less posh? Actually had to smile at one of PPH's threads the other day, as she said that her dd is happy with people she sees every day, the list of which included her gardener and I think 2 other staff members!

Jelley · 24/04/2007 07:04

Will look at your thread later Chloe, just wanted to say giraaaarrffe to mrm

2boysmacca · 24/04/2007 07:19

That reminds me, of the rhyming book ds had on his buggy. For a few minutes I couldn't understand why they had but a giraffe in a scaff

mustrunmore · 24/04/2007 07:19

Cheeky

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/04/2007 07:29

wiped out.

DD spent the night being sick, I am feeling dodgy today but I think its just tiredness. My friend says she'll still have her so I can do my demo but I don't know if I should or not... got until about 9am to decide.

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/04/2007 07:58

Ooh is it today? Could you just be a bit sick with nerves?

OP posts:
Jelley · 24/04/2007 08:01

I hope you are ok to do it (and dd is ok to be left)

May do the picnic, csws, I'm suggsting the FLY ladies all come as we were thinking of meeting any way
