We have run out of space so thought I would start a new thread.

Pavlov-hope you are OK today hun.

kayzed-well done to Roshi

Gave Sophie some SMA (5oz but she only glugged 3oz ish down) she zonked out immediatedly on her gym mat. Poor girl must have been starving the way she uh, uh, uh when she saw the beaker.

Mum and dad coming in a mo. Dad is tiling and mum and I are going to paint the ceiling. DH doesn't know so watch out for me on the relationships thread later.

Bloss-get you on the homepage! How do you do tips?

Better go-love to all and will catch up later.

I have the best news ever, DS is now crawling. He started on Thursday with a odd bunny hopping thing going on where he would move his hands and jump on his legs and pull them forward(like a rabbit) but todays hes finally mastered it. Hes still getting frustrated though as I don?t think he really knows how hes doing it and cant seem to move fast enough. Hes got a very odd rash all over him, I thought it was a heat rash as its on his torso and forhead. Its just pale pink and flat spots, not sure now though as its been there for 2 days.
Ive finally booked a holiday to Zante. I am so fed up of looking at holiday brochers, it?s a superfamily one so hopefully ok for DD and ive been on a review site and its had good feedback.

I went out with work last night and although I didn?t drink much I didn?t get in until 2am so im very tired and poor DD has had me shouting at her all day. Not sure why but this week shes been particulary mean to DS and keeps laying on him and taking toys etc. She also now wants us to feed her and wont eat her dinner unless we do. Im also fed up with the constant why?s I just want some peace, not have to explain to someone why it is that the shop is too far away or why its not her birthday today.

Meant to ask you all. Have you got your LO?s in a forward facing seat yet? I took DS to a shop to get his checked and they said ideally he should move up to the next stage.

Sleep- Sorry for what happened to you. Did you report it?

Blos ? I always think I sound like a witch on video cameras. What amazing news r your neice. Crikey!
DS is one of the youngest, hes 9 months on the 2nd

Managed to put my big foot in it on Thurday. One of my friends has a ds 34 months and a ds 15 months. Anyway she had a year off work with her first and went back to work pregnant. Shes just started back to work again after her 2nd DS( You still with me) I asked her how work had gone and she said she didn?t go last week and stupid me said ? let me guess your pregnant again? to which she replied ? no I miscarried? I said ?oh sorry my joke obv wasn?t funny? and she just said ? no it wasn?t? I felt so bad that I had said something so stupid.
HC ? I agree with kayzed, Its hard when mil spoil our LO and we suffer the consequences.
I think you should look into AD?s you are going through a difficult time at the moment and may just need some help to get you back on the up again.
Kayzed- I cant find the right words but I hope it really is nothing to be worried about. You love DS and he is your perfect little man whatever happens you will deal with it. Im keeping my fingers crossed for you.

congrats Kbaby! Don't worry about what you said, she was obvously just down and taking it out on you a bit, it's not your fault, I have made similar faux pas.

KZ - please try not to stress. You will cope with this. Chili will still be perfect whatever happens.

HC - sweetie. Go to docs. Go.....shoooh....go....xxxx

DH came home last night, a night early! In bed now feeling like crap. Guess I'll get a lie in next weekend yes? Yeah right...

H needed a poo in the playground yesterday. he had to do it in his bucket (sorry for TMI but it was the size of chair leg!!!!)and I couldn't face dealing with it at that particular moment and shoved it under the hedge. I feel so guilty about leaving it there for someone ele to find I think I am going to have to go back there today with a bin liner and get rid. And on that note, Toby did like 13 poos yesterday! The shit twins!!! Gorgeous little anecdote for you at 7.07am on a Sunday morning!!

Back later.

have great days.

Bloss

usandnosleep · 29/04/2007 07:37

Wow Kbaby! Great news, he'll have it sussed within a week- clear the decks
Don't worry there was no way you could have known and your friend knows that too x

Bloss- a bucket What a glamourous life we live!

I'm on a housework misssion today.......................

prettymum · 29/04/2007 09:27

kbaby- well done to ds on the crawling!!! get prepared for the mission of destruction! is this the season for all toddlers to play up?? we went to the park to watch dp play cricket and dd just wont listen when we tell her not to go out of tjhe gates!! at one point we thought we'd lost her and during bathtime she nearly drowned junior dp and i had a good rant at her, she just doesnt understand that when we say no, she cant do it grrrrr

junior is currently dancing to music videos on mtv, its sooo cute!!

and he actually woke dp up yesterday by calling him da!! dp loved it! and he is learning to wave

jeanie- grr at you xdp, there is no excuse for not helping pay for you dc and what a cheek of him to ask if your dp can help more wtf??

i had so many nightmares last night! first one was i got lost getting to a station and two boys told me theyd take me but i said no but they forced me. at the station i ran off. quickly got a ticket and went for train. i heard a lt of loud noise and thought people were rushing for train so i ran to it. once inside i looked out and saw a man with a gun shooting and he came in to our train. i lay on the floor right next to him and he looked at me and started shouting and said right bitch youre going to die and shot me!!

second on was someone was in the building i was in and going round murdering everyone and he was coming looking for me, but i woke up

i better go now, have to go and meet a friend around 12 and dd is still sleeping its all the running around in the park yesterday

prettymum · 29/04/2007 09:28

bloss- pmsl at the pooing!!! such a glamourous life!

Ceebee74 · 29/04/2007 10:05

Pretty - scary dreams!! What had you been drinking??

HC - you really should go to your GP's and tell them exactly what you are telling us - and sooner rather than later eh?

Kbaby - am having the exact same dilemma about the car seat. KZ (I think) posted a link on here a while ago that said that ideally you should wait until they are 12 months old as it is much safer so I am trying to hang on till then but Josh is getting a little big for his rear-facing one. Also, my friend was telling me that she was in Mothercare and overheard the sales assistant telling another couple that babies should move into front-facing ones the minute they get to 9 months/9kg - but I have my doubts about this as I suspect the sales assistant was pushing for a sale and also my friend moved her DS into front-facing when he was 4 months () and she thinks I am mad because I have not done it yet (but this is the same friend who started weaning at 14 weeks )

Sorry - that was a bit rambly and probably hasn't helped you at all! And congrats to DS for crawling, I love Josh crawling about everywhere - so much easier to entertain him.

Bloss - nice story about the poo, I SO can't wait until Josh gets to that age and does things like that - but I really wouldn't bother going back

Having a bbq today so Josh will be having his first taste of sausages and burgers - no doubt the pukester will strike again

SleepIsForTheWeak · 29/04/2007 10:55

he he - leave the poo be indeed! Great manure for the bush no doubt?

Kbaby - yayyyyyyyyy to the crawler! Dont worry about what you said, I also make those kinds of mistakes! I once told someone that I had read that when couples can't conceive, the reason is usually that they are not having enough sex! (not sure how true this is but I did read it somewhere)and then, OBVIOUSLY, I found out a little while later that she and her DP had been trying for 3 years

Pretty, what horrid dreams! I often have action packed adventure nightmares like that too, it is exhausting. You need to try and tell yourself that it is just a dream whilst dreaming it, iyswim?

S is down for his nap so catching up with you all, then making a proper big Sunday brunch yum.

Jeezuz KZ. That dream gave me the willies. I recognise the feeling though. I don't/haven't dreamt tose kind of things, but you know sometimes how you allow your mind to torture itself with what ifs? Like if you hear about a terrible thing that has happened to a child and you can't stop yourself imagining how you would feel if it happened to one of yours, and what you would do and how you would feel etc...an imagination can be a curse as well as a blessing.

Guys - you don't understand - I left the "chair leg" in it's bucket, with several obscene baby wipes and shoved the whole lot under the hedge. Have been reminded by BF that the village fair is next weekend in thta park. This, however, was still not enough for me to go back and retrieve it. Maybe under the cover of darkness one evening this week in disguise.....

Toby will still sleep in the day - usually 1 hour from 9am, then again for an hour at 1pm. Is he the youngest? He'll be 9 months on 8th May...

H has been a total doll all weekend.

Kbaby - wow congratulations to your DS. Aidan started doing that self same bunny hopping thing today on the bed, trying to get at the cat. He seems to really want to crawl "properly" but he can only go backwards at the mo so resorts to the commando shuffle.

Well Aidan turned 9 months yesterday. Thanks for all the lovely comments on his pics. I possibly have noticed a slight squint when he's tired but it is deceptive as the bridge of his nose is pretty wide which makes his eyes look uneven sometimes when they're probably not (phew that was a long sentence - sorry).

Both today and yesterday we have all eaten lunch and dinner together and Aidan has eaten the same as us. How liberating! And I think he really enjoyed eating with us as well.

Twinklemegan · 29/04/2007 23:24

As promised ladies, some zoo photos:

spider monkey gymnastics

feeding time for giraffes

Josh

the zoo is all too much for me!

Am going to get Josh weighed this afternoon - I was looking at his red book yesterday and he has not weighed more than 18lb 5 since the end of January which is 3 months now

Ceebee74 · 30/04/2007 09:19

Bugger! (excuse my french) - DH has just rung, he has gone to work with the car seat by accident - grrrr! Which means I can't do anything I planned to do today, including getting Josh weighed - how annoying!!!

Guess I will have to go for a long walk instead.

JeanieG · 30/04/2007 10:15

Morning,

We have started the day Blossom style here, at 5:30am. What is that all about? Bloss, how do you do this every day. I still haven't managed to get dressed AND the kids were still late for school even though I'd been up so long.

Abbey is awake again.
Be back later
xx

HumphreysCorner · 30/04/2007 10:30

Morning ladies

Bloss-hilarious about the 'chair leg' Took me back to when I was about 7 or 8 and my best friend at the time was desperate to go so went under a hedge. We were actually only about 50 metres from her house but when you have to go you have to go!

Twinkle and Ceebee-brill pics.

We went to Mablethorpe yesterday and all have red faces today including Sophie Must dig the sun lotion out. We stopped at our local pub (that we never visit) on the way home for a bevvy (they sell Blossom Hill-yay!) and ended up having our tea. Had already prepared tea-ho hum, never mind. The veg will keep although DH's chop has been binned. The first pub we stopped at didn't have any white wine so we left. The girl behind the bar looked at us gone out when we said we wouldn't bother having a drink there in that case.

Have made an appointment to see the Dr at 3-50pm today so now am shi*ng myself, literally. Am doing a Sophie and going every half hour-will have to carry a bucket and a pot of Sudocreme with me-lol!

Enjoy your day.

Morning ladeez,

HC best of luck at the doctors. Just be honest and tell her everything.

Ceebee, lovely pics, Josh is gorgeous! How annoying about the car seat though, luckily it's a lovely day so get out there walking.

KZ, Roshi has a fab appetite! I wish my two would eat like her, they eat hardly anything between them these days. I'm sure Chili will be fine too. I know it's not the same thing, but Joey had a bit of a rash last week and now it's gone!! Yaay! (sorry, I know that's not how it works...)

Twinkle Aiden is gorgeous as well!! Congrats on the crawling and the eating.

Bloss LOL at your poo story! They gotta go, they gotta go!

Kbaby, congrats on the crawling too!

Spent the weekend helping DH with the decking. That means holding planks of wood while he measured and sawed and screwed them, and of course swore a LOT. Kayley watched from the window while Joey slept.
In total we got down a grand total of three planks...

Gave Joey a haircut yesterday with DH's clippers... a number one... now he looks like he's escaped from a concentration camp... poor thing! DH keeps calling him Sinead O'Connor.

And my brother phoned me (a very very rare thing) to announce his missus is up the duff, due in late November. This is a girl who takes over everyone elses kids when she's around so maybe she'll leave us alone now! I missed their wedding last year as I was about to pop with Kayley.
And my sister is also due to pop at the end of June. Forgot to mention that. This is her third.

Right girls, I best go and see if those mozzies have survived the weekend.

Have a good day everyone

Annie

PavlovtheCat · 30/04/2007 14:14

Hey all, I am here. Not at work. I have two weeks off. Long story. Due mainly to sudden and unexpected grief smacking me in the face when I was not looking this weekend, 3 months after my mum died.

So, I am going to catch up on some posts and see how you are doing here, I noticed there are some pictures to see, I shall go and have a look in a moment, and in the mean time I shall post a picture of DD in her dress I been going on about. HC - not the HC one, DD pooped up the back of that before I got a chance to take photo!

my loverly daughter

AnnieOleTing · 30/04/2007 14:33

Hi Pav,

So sorry bout your Mum.
