We have run out of space so thought I would start a new thread.

Pavlov-hope you are OK today hun.

kayzed-well done to Roshi

Gave Sophie some SMA (5oz but she only glugged 3oz ish down) she zonked out immediatedly on her gym mat. Poor girl must have been starving the way she uh, uh, uh when she saw the beaker.

Mum and dad coming in a mo. Dad is tiling and mum and I are going to paint the ceiling. DH doesn't know so watch out for me on the relationships thread later.

Bloss-get you on the homepage! How do you do tips?

Better go-love to all and will catch up later.

Afternoon all,

Nothing much to report here. Glad I could make ye smile with my tales of animal bits and pieces.
Kayley is very clingy these days. While it's very flattering (and I love it!) it can be a bit difficult when trying to have a wee, specially if DS comes along too, along with Tigger and TWO penguins... Sigh...

Had my injection this morning, and it went in fine this time (phew!). No dribbles or leaks. So let's see how long it takes to kick in and I can do backward flips again.

French, where are you that you have a bank holiday? France maybe? It's nice to be broody hunny!! Just depends on whether you act on it!! I get a bit broody sometimes, but can't really have any more, cos of these drugs.
Whatever happened that list.

Ceebee, have a Happy Birthday!! Hope Jacob's puke job didn't put you off your guacamole...

KZ LOL at Roshi's two dinners! Bless her! K is the same re sleep, just the odd ten minute power nap...

Pav, your dd sounds so cute too!! Tell your DP, I'd be miffed if he didn't tell me!!

Impy, belated happy birthday! Anchovy flavoured choc??? What was it like, or did you dare eat it?! (PS get a shower and a new job, right?)

HC Happy 10 month Birthday to Sophie!!
I hope you are feeling a bit better, and I echo all the support on here. You ARE a brilliant mum to both your girls, and we know they love you lots. Bonding is great but when you spend day after day after day with them, it's hard to appreciate someone (I know they're only babies).
If it were possible, could you get away for a day or two (or even longer !) and just see what it feels like? Then you come back and you know how much you miss them and love them. Maybe not a viable option, but something to consider. Anyway, don't listen to me, I know very little about things.

Best go for a while. It's Friday!!!

Annie

First, xposts!
Yes I did know that about pigs!! And did you know that they orgasm for 30 minutes!??? Lucky ole sods. Don't think I learnt that at Uni though, that might have been out of the Sun...
Yeah, got through a lot of frogs too in those days...
Mine was a micro degree, with modules of zoology and other stuff. Now in molecular.
Anyone know a cure for malaria? (Then I can go home...)

Annie

PavlovtheCat · 27/04/2007 13:23

Happt birthday Ceebee
Happy birthday sophie!!!

I did tell DP, I knew I would really, I could not not tell him. But I was worried, he was a little jeolous, but only playfully so...Phew!
And she said it again this morning, to him!
No dadas yet! eh? She said them a few times then stopped .

There is nothing on the MC website that I bought. I bought a HC dungeree set, (you will love it HC!), which is red and white striped and has A day at the seaside written on the back and Lotties goes to the Seaside on the front. They are shorts, and oh oh so cute. And a dress which is devine. I shall take pictures this weekend of them.

Happy birthday CeeBee!!! Have a wicked day!

Big bank holiday here too, French... not back at work until Thur - hurrah! Will have to do some serious stock piling of spam and anchovies (not really)..... Yes I did try one of the chocolates by mistake - I nearly puked. DP bought them for me from Ryan and even he has to admit they're minging....

Hugs to everyone, will catch up again soon. Impy xxx

Hello girls

Happy B'Day Ceebee

Sophie is 10 months today

prettymum-really know how annoying the poo incident is after DD1 did it in the paddling pool the other week.

Pavlov-can't wait to see the HC clothing pics.

kayzed-how long until you see the dermo? Hope you all feel better soon. Roshi is such a brill eater isn't she?

us-hope Zack's tooth is OK. Poor little lad.

Took Sophie to swim class which perked me up as I am having a down, down day. DH has told me to smile and not be miserable. What did it this morning was DD1 (surprise, surprise) saying she didn't want to go to my mum and dad's today she only wanted to go to Grandma MIL as she likes going there. So I went through the usual that she only likes going because MIL treats her like a baby and lets her do what she wants and never tells her off. Lets her eat what she wants including pudding even if she hasn't eaten her main course. DD1 comes out with some strange things and when I ask who told her that it is always Grandma MIL. It really wound me up this morning. DH still threatening to go to the Bike Show the day before the Christening when I need help preparing for 25 people coming round and he can't see the problem.

Sophie is doing at least 6 poos a day, is off her food and has the worst nappy rash ever all because of teething.

Love to all-have some ironing to do and sat here isn't going to get it done.

Bye for now.

happy birthdayh ceebee and 10 months sophie

O'h HC you poor poor thing you are having a real time of it, and I know it's then the silliest things that really set you off {{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}

dh came home absolutely slaughtered at 3am today after vommiting in the road as he fell out of his taxi - classy guy.....

jacob has had one nap today! it was 1.5 hours long but only one nap, and he's been up since 7am! still going ok - a few yells but nothing really terrible.

what a beautiful evening it's turning into!

MaeWest · 27/04/2007 17:26

Hey all - have to report the most amazing news! DS has slept 3 and a half hours today, 90 mins this morning (after some shouting) and then 2 hrs this afternoon. Didn't know what to do with myself. Did housework in the morning and then indulgently read a chunk of Forever Amber this pm.

Us hope Zack's mouth is feeling better - DS headbutted the kitchen floor on Wednesday, sickening crunch and bloodcurdling wails . He was on his tummy trying to scoot around when it happened. Calmed down eventually after much cuddling.

PavlovtheCat · 27/04/2007 17:37

Sophie is 10 months? Not 9 months? Am I just relly really bad at maths? I my god that means I got my DDs age wrong....

IamBlossom · 27/04/2007 19:52

evening ladeez.

Lysettes - I nearly wasted a mouthful of red wine as I snorted with laughter at your post re DH. They never ever learn. Dh has gone off for his weekend of debauchery in Bognor Regis, after doing the usual "Bloss can you iron my shirt?" at exactly 5.20pm, whilst H was squeezing the biggest puddle of Tomato Sauce onto his dinner plate you have ever seen and Toby was YELLING for his next mouthful of yoghurt. "Yeah course Stu I'll just down tools and get right onto it..."

MIL is here though which is dreamy. She is ace. Like a girlfriend/au pair!! H adores her, wouldn't even let me do bathtime!! Went for a lovely walk with her and two of my girlfriends and their kids this morning, followed by two hour intermission while both kids slept and then to the playground. She is now cooking my tea!

KZ - shit day honey. Hugs to you. Come over, we've got salmon, red wine, and we doing nails, oh and did I mention my MIL is a trained masseuse??

HC - you are also invited. In fact feck it, all of you come over. Chin up honey, we are all here supporting you.

Happy Birthday CeeBee and belated birthday Imps!!

Developmental progress on the Tobster - if I give him a toy to keep him on his back whilst dressing he swaps it to the other hand when I need to feed his arm into his sleeve! A little thing but it's so sweet, they KNOW now don't they?? He is up on his knees, rocking away, desperate to crawl but not there yet thank god...I am actively discouraging it.....met my sister at the playground this afternoon with Lily, who the old school members will know is 4 days older than Toby - she is gorgeous, and clapping it's soooooo sweet, and can high five and wave etc. Loads of tricks.

Love to all, got some chilling to do.

Maewest - yayyyyyyyyyyy! Long may it continue!

Iamblossom, very about your MIL - you are so lucky! Why cant they all be like that? Mine still hasn't met Sefton even thought she lives in the same city

I have had the day from hell! a teething baby with a cold is not much fun!

Kayzed, wanted to say thanks for recommending the doidy cup a while ago, Sefton seems to love it even though he every now and then throws it around and seems surprised when the juice pours out.
Cant belive R's appetite - brilliant! S just doesn't seem that bothered by food

With BLW - he tries to feed himself, has about 1 mouthful, gets bored, then refuses any puree. Do I just continue trying and giving him milk to full up?

Have great weekends girls

SleepIsForTheWeak · 27/04/2007 20:33

Us, are things OK with DH by the way? x

prettymum · 27/04/2007 20:50

hey everyone- junior is saying dada now!!nooooooooooo i have been taking advantage of dp being at work to teach him to say mama but no, he had to say dada!

dps gone out to meet his brother's girlfriend, who is miss jamaica 2006 0r 2007, cant remember, shes visiting for a month and saw a pic of her and she is really hot!!

i havent got any proper alcohol in the house!!!nooooooooooooooooo!!we have so much rum but dont know what to drink it with im going to have a good rummage through the cupboard, i think we have some vanilla nourshment, going to mix it with the rum if we have any left...

IamBlossom · 27/04/2007 22:14

rum and coke Pretty. it's the only way forward. I go MENTAL on rum and coke, get really really ANGRY on it for some reason.....

Update on DH - has got to Butlins and found all his 37 year old friends already drunk and doing various illicit things and it was only 8pm. If he survives this weekend I will be amazed.

Oooh forgot to tell you - my niece (DH's brothers daughter), 18, got woken up by her 11 year old half-sister last saturday night who told her to go downstairs because their Mum (who we never see because she is divorced from DH's brother) needed her help...DN gets downstairs to find her Mum on her back on the floor, legs akimbo, and A BABY'S HEAD STICKING OUT OF HER!!! DN had to deliver the baby and cut the cord!!! Baby girl, 7.5 pounds, and her mum has no idea she was pregnant. This is her fourth child.....

DN says it has put her off completely! Needless to say they did not have a thing in the house they needed, no nappies, nothing and the paramedics came out, checked them both over, pronounced them both fine and left them to it!!

Anyhoo, deffo going now.

Bloss

HumphreysCorner · 27/04/2007 22:30

kayzed-said all this to DD1 not DH. He has spent all evening pestering me for sex-not going to happen mate. DD1 asked me to take her to bed so I did and she asked if I can come into her room in the morning to get her up. My mum asked me what is bothering me and I said nothing-don't think she would understand. When I suffered from anxiety a few years back she told me to pull myself together-it was only when a colleague from work phoned her that she took notice.

Bloss-still don't know how you can't know you are PG

pretty-well done Junior. It is a well known fact that babies say words beginning with d, b, g, l and e as opposed to more difficult to pronounce letters like m, p, f, so dada will 99 times out of 100 be the first word said. Pavlov has the 1% success rate

Night ladies as off to bed. So, so tired and deffo no energy for the deed.

jeez HC, can't believe he is pestering you for sex when you are obviously feeling so low. Hope you have a good night's sleep hon.

FirstAtForty · 27/04/2007 22:37

prettymum you are hilarious - what is vanilla nourshment, and does it go well with rum?? Hope you have managed to find a suitable mixer, it's Friday night after all

bloss I never cease to be staggered by people who don't realise they are pregnant - howwwww????? can you not get the odd inkling that things are not quite as usual what with a 7lb infant using your guts and bladder as a punchbag, not being able to turn over in bed etc etc?

btw I'm on my way over with a vat of wine, sounds like fun at your house

prettymum · 27/04/2007 22:48

bloss wow, a baby and she didnt know!! well done to your niece though!!

i couldnt find anything, the alternative to the nourishment drink(a lovely milky kind of energy drink, the vanilla one taste lovely with rum)was in the freezer so was no use to me!! so had to resort to rum and pear juice which was revolting!! but drank it anyway as i could not waste it! did tell dp to get some baileys on his way home, if he gets home early that is!

hc- men thats all they can bloody think about!! hope you can find someone you can talk to though, and we're here for you aswell {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}

HC - it's funny, I've heard Aidan do a lot of m consonants and a few f's. Hardly any d's at all - DH is very put out!

I'm afraid like CB I've forgotten who has said what so I shan't go on.

I never told you lot though - Aidan's tongue tie has broken! It must have happened about a month ago, and you can really see now where it was tied. There's a thick V shaped ridge on the bottom of his mouth and a thick whitish ridge on the underside of his tongue. So I wasn't imagining it, not that I thought I was. Now he's really enjoying sticking his tongue out all the time.

Aww I came across an old couple in Tesco's today with a really young baby girl in tow. The old man saw me getting a nappy pack and asked me if I could help them. They were looking a first food jars and trying to work out the ages. They were looking after their great-granddaughter for 9 days! (they must have been in their late seventies at least). They thought she was getting bored with her milk and wondered if they should give her something else - she was 14 weeks. I explained the six month guideline to them and recommended cool boiled water rather than juice if they wanted to give her extra fluid. I think they were really relieved, and I got such a warm fluffy feeling. Perhaps I'll retrain as an HV (not!). Even the Tesco woman smiled even though I did her out of several sales.
