Lazy
Oh dear, yes I would be worried about dehydration too. Is he still doing wet nappies? Do you have a little syringe, could you get some expressed milk or water down him that way?

NameChange30 · 14/10/2017 12:17

What pain relief have you given?

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/10/2017 12:21

as long has wet nappies then is ok

LazyDaisy6 · 14/10/2017 14:15

Have staggered ibuprofen and calpol so he gets something everything 2-3 hours. Plus gel on his gums.
I can hear him grinding his teeth so it's definitely cut.
Will try the syringe - thanks everyone Smile

purpleviolet1 · 14/10/2017 19:11

@LazyDaisy6 hope LO is better now and hopefully taking fluids..

How is everyone else? Just put ds down and dh is out so feeling a bit Hmm lol. Might order myself a dominos and binge watch something on Netflix. Feelin guilty I’ve got a whole load of things that could be getting done but just can’t be bothered

purple I would be ordering and watching if I were you. Your OH is having a night off you should as well Grin

DD a little better today, shes had a runny nose and I helped clear it a couple of times today 🤢😷 but she's still a little congested. Has taken her feeds and solids really well today but has been a little moody which is understandable. She went to bed fine at 7 Grin

purpleviolet1 · 14/10/2017 19:32

Thanks for the encouragement carol hahah just ordered. I do NOT need the extra calories. I’m just carb feasting at the moment. Been a bad week.

Do it do it do it! Grin You have so earned an evening of Dominos and Netflix! Just don't stay up too late binge watching, I remember you said you needed earlier nights Wink

Carol
Glad your DD is better today 👍

We had a bad night (despite giving DS ibuprofen) and I've been feeling under the weather today, think I might be coming down with a cold Confused DH has been a star though and looked after DS while I had a long nap. Oh and we had posh burgers earlier purple, if that makes you feel any better, we decided we deserved it after a tough week!

I'm trying not to worry about the to do list and just allow myself to relax. But it's really hard when I never seem to have chance to get anything done!

purpleviolet1 · 14/10/2017 21:00

I’ve just had 9 inch pizza and 3 brownies BlushBlushBlush

Something tells me we would get on in real life Grin

100yearsdotcom · 14/10/2017 22:20

So sorry to hear that everyone has been struggling. We've had a pretty bad few days here too. Very similar to you all with bugs and teething, and feeling like we're taking 2 steps forward and 3 back. I'm going to be starting fresh from Monday hopefully to get us back on track.

Abacha, I'm so sorry you had that experience and hope you can start to feel less overwhelmed by it. It must have been terrifying. So glad your cheeky sweethearts were laughing and cheering you up in the end Flowers

Purple, now I need brownies EnvyGrin

Tomorrow is a new day and week for healthy eating Hmm

Hope everyone had a good night. Ds slept till about 5 and took 5oz water. Settled back till I woke him at 7.30am so a pretty good night! I did hear him wake around 2ish but he self settled.

Chilling out day. Having a roast later which will add extra veg and purée for dd for tomorrow

coupester · 15/10/2017 15:12

Hello, I've just been catching up - so much to read!

@Abacha I'm so sorry you had to go through that with DS, it must have been terrifying. I'm glad that everyone is ok and the twins cheered up (sorry they were laughing at your tears though).

@LazyDaisy6 welcome! Hope your DS took some fluids eventually.

Sounds like everyone is having trouble with teething and sleep. I hope it picks up for you all.

Holiday was nice, the weather wasn't amazing but we were in Normandy so didn't expect it to be much different to home. DS did amazingly well as his very vague routine sort of went out the window. We got the ferry back yesterday evening so DS had several wake ups but is handling today quite well he's just napped for a couple of hrs but I had to give calpol as he seems to be struggling with gums again. I can see where his top front teeth are so maybe they will come through next!

coupester · 15/10/2017 15:17

I'm a carb fiend too. I'm not even sorry Grin

Can't believe how much we bought in France - cheese, wine, chocolate flavoured Baileys, biscuits, cidre, meat, sundae dishes (I've been after some nice ones for ages), lots of kitchen stuff because I really needed a baguette mould. Plus a few baby clothes! I don't even drink much!

I bought some raspberry flavoured chocolate to use to make brownies. I'm quite excited about that Grin

troodiedoo · 15/10/2017 15:28

Hello all :) sounds like a good haul there @coupester yum yum.

My diet keeps starting next week as well. I only care because my clothes are getting way too tight. But sugar is the only way to cope with lack of sleep.

We've been to church this morning, just chilling now counting down to acceptable wine drinking time

Dd has started crawling but backwards, it's so cute to watch.

Carolann8584 · 15/10/2017 17:23

Anybody blended rice? We had spicy chicken and veg rice for tea and saved some unspiced chicken just wondered about blending rice as well?

I have been eating loads of crap but losing weight because of the breastfeeding - going to have to be very careful when I cut down on the breastfeeding not to pile the weight back on! But meanwhile I'm enjoying the "free" calories Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/10/2017 17:45

Yes I've made risotto. Rice puréed quite well. Better then pasta imo

Dd refused tea tonight. Unheard of. Was a meal shes eaten many times and nope didn't want it. Tried jar she's had before and nope

Ended up with chunks of carrot and marmite toast and scoffed that

NameChange30 · 15/10/2017 17:45

coupester
Glad you had a good holiday despite the weather Smile

coupester · 15/10/2017 17:53

We're still only eating veg for tea. DS has just scoffed a little pot of carrot and swede. He had an EK sweet potato the previous 2 days and loved it. He loves his porridge in the mornings too.

Going to try broccoli tomorrow as we're having some for tea tonight. Not sure when we'll introduce things like pasta and rice. We're taking the weaning very slowly I think!

@NameChange30 I lost lots of weight when I was breastfeeding, definitely think it's creeping back up now though!
