Dd is a bit sicky today, not eaten much. She was sick once this afternoon and it smelt awful, really rotten egg smell 😣

I've just been bf ing as much as possible since then and she's gone to bed OK.

Hope your dd feels better soon @Hugh and you have an easier night.

Welcome @lazy. Envious of teeth

Hope you all have a better night and less sickness

Few of our local friends have it. Seems to be a horrible bug about :(

Carolann8584 · 12/10/2017 23:19

DD very unsettled, vapour oil in her room and rub on her sleeping bag collar, shes still having trouble breathing. Only had 3oz of her DF Sad

Carolann8584 · 13/10/2017 01:37

It's going to be a long night 😪

Carolann8584 · 13/10/2017 05:54

I was right. Very long night. I haven't been to bed yet

purpleviolet1 · 13/10/2017 06:49

Oh gosh carol Sad do you think it’s the cold or something else?

Ds woke as per new schedule bang on time, (around 1am) , fed him and started shuffling about at 5:50, didn’t properly open eyes for ages but could hear him trying to get comfy. Just got up and gave him calpol. I think it’s his gums rather than hunger Confused should’ve maybe given him calpol when he woke at 1 and tried that

Just had a thought, think ds waking around 1 has roughly coincided with us starting the day at 7.30am instead of 7am. I had noticed in the past as well that he seems sensitive to too much daytime sleep.

Finally got to sleep at 6:10 (she woke at 6:50) DD was so congested she couldn't breathe laying down so had her laying on me belly to belly most of night, every time I put her in her cot she would try and settle and get comfy but she just let out her "I'm so tired sleep"

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2017 08:51

Poor dd @carol. Colds are horrible and also with teething 💐💐

Have you got any snuffle babe? Rub on feet. Really does help breathe as well as on chest and vapour plugs

Make sure has small bit of fresh air in roommas well as that helps breathe

Lots of cuddles and ttc for you both

Dd wingy today. Has already gone back to bed. Usually sleeps 9. Hope wakes up in a better mood x

Carolann8584 · 13/10/2017 09:13

We have the vapour oil and the rub but last time I put it on her chest she got a rash so I rub it on her sleepsuit and sleeping bag near the collars.

I bought a plug in but didn't even think about it last night ☹

Hey everyone, don't think I've been on the new thread yet. Things are ticking along nicely although I'm so sleep deprived. I had the scariest day on monday, ds was having a nap and I was changing dd in another room, ds started crying but I figured I had to finish changing dd before I went to him. The way he stopped crying mid cry brought chills to my body. I picked up dd mid change and ran to their room. My poor ds was choking. I dropped dd on the bed a little too harshly and picked him up, gave him a tap on his back and cue the biggest vomit everywhere. At this point he started crying, dd was crying because of the way I put her down and of course I started crying too because I was so scared. I wish I can say it was silent tears but it was a proper cry, thankfully ds and dd found that funny and started giggling.

I haven't been able to sleep properly since monday as I keep replaying the image in my head. I just keep watching them when they are sleeping which I know isnt healthy.

Dh is going to be out with them all day tomorrow so I can sleep

purpleviolet1 · 13/10/2017 12:18

Flowers abacha

Well I decided to nap when DD had hers, 2 and a half hours later! I woke to DD babbling lying again her headboard 30 mins late for her feed!

Carolann8584 · 13/10/2017 13:13

DD had very little for her lunch. Then threw it up Sad poor little lady looks so tired

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2017 13:15

Scary stuff @abacha but glad all of you are ok

Dd woke happier but still tad wingy. Off to music and singing which she loves and then calpol and bed for hopefully 2hrs

Try and sleep when babies do

Let's hope all improve. It is fruday 13th .........

purpleviolet1 · 13/10/2017 16:35

Hope everyone’s day got better

My body is aching I feel horrendous Sad

managed to have a look in ds mouth And the top two incisors on either side of the middle two look like they are about to cut through .. hope they hurry up!

Thinking of going cold turkey on night feeds. Been analysing his patterns and I think he is cutting back on daytime feeds as he is replacing with night feeds. also the fact that for about two months he hasn’t really been waking up at the same time consistently (does the same thing for maximum a week). The whole pushing his feed time forward hasn’t worked because again he wakes up randomly. If fully awake he also seems to have become reliant on having a feed before going back to sleep regardless of whether it’s a snack or full feed. His weight is great and the fact that he was getting up at 5am when he was completely refusing solids indicates that he can nutritionally manage. By fixing one thing I seem to have messed up another! I think I went a step backward by feeding him
Before 5am last few nights and it’s probably confusing for him. I guess it’s all trial and error though! He didn’t settle well with the water when I tried that a couple of weeks ago but I may try again.

Ds also sat by himself today for longer than just 20 seconds Grin

Argghhh I wrote a long reply with comments for everyone but lost it before i managed to post!

The short version...

Abacha that must have been really scary, but it sounds like you dealt with it really well. Cheeky of them to laugh at you, poor you but glad it cheered them up Grin

Flowers to everyone who has had difficult days and/or nights, sounds like a tough time for lots of us. Hope babies and mums start feeling better soon!

DS is suffering with the teething. We had a weird night, he was awake for an hour because of teething pain I think, but it wasn't too bad apart from that.

I had a great day because my mum seems to be more like her usual self and kindly offered to babysit so I took her up on it! Went into town by myself for the first time since having DS and it was awesome Grin Got some new bras (been needing them for AGES) and treated myself to a few clothes as well... it's my birthday soon so that's my excuse Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2017 17:54

@putple. Yes offer water

If having night milk then day milk can be effected

Ideally for our age they should be having 3 bottles /feeds

Breakfast /wake up
Afternoon
Bedtime
