Hugh
Yes got back on Friday evening and it's sooo good to be home Smile
We've been away four times from May-September and I am not planning on going anywhere for a while now! PILs are coming to us at Christmas!

NameChange30 · 17/09/2017 19:53

Having said that DH and I will be celebrating 10 years together in December and it would be great if we could leave DS with my mum and go to a fancy hotel for the night. Will try leaving him with her for a few hours at a time first.

100yearsdotcom · 17/09/2017 20:03

OMG our March babies are the cutest!

DD likes avocado but is not over keen on Banana so far....

purpleviolet1 · 17/09/2017 21:18

@NameChange30 oh no re being all wet. Maybe try the nappies blondes is recommending? Nice to be home, one always appreciates it more after being awAy...

@Blondeshavemorefun Have a great holiday!!!

@Carolann8584 hope it's just a one off... ds has been sleeping on his side for ages, sometimes rolls to his front and sleeps on his front. Not an issue as long as they can move back.

@HughLauriesStubble not experienced that Hugh.. hope it's just a short phase!

Lovely photos!!

I have ds in a vest and 2.5 grobag at night. His room is often 24degrees. I don't feel he gets too hot or too cold.

She can roll off her tummy but at the min the way she rolls onto her side her arm against the mattress is stopping her from going on her front

purpleviolet1 · 17/09/2017 21:42

You could gentle try and move her in that case. Ds Is such a wriggler he is always lying horizontal by the morning

OP posts:
Carolann8584 · 17/09/2017 22:09

Oh she does that as well. Once she gets her feet on the bars she pushes herself round lol

Most often it's in the evening but occasionally in the morning if I'm out somewhere. She gets distracted so much when feeding so bottle allows her to be nosy. Plus I find positioning hard without my arsenal of pillows and cushions.

Of course as soon as I posted the previous dd woke up from her brief nap for a feed 😂 might just be a growth spurt. Or teething....

troodiedoo · 17/09/2017 22:38

Cute pics, it's lovely to see them develop from squishy newborns Flowers

coupester · 17/09/2017 22:45

Sorry I've been quiet, haven't managed to look on here all day!

I tried to do some baking this morning. I'm normally good at baking but for some reason, the last few cakes have gone a bit wrong!

Photo shoot was good, it's just a friend of ours who came round to our house and took some photos of DS but I've not had chance to look through them yet. He offered to take some more around Christmas.

@NameChange30 hope you had a lovely holiday, has your lo's sleep improved at all or are the night wakings still as frequent?

@Blondeshavemorefun have a wonderful time!

We're going to France for a week soon and I've no idea how much I'm going to need to pack for DS!

Carolann8584 · 17/09/2017 22:57

Just done df with DD she had just over 5oz. Loved just cuddling with her for a few minutes after she finished she did the cutiest smile in her sleep 😍

purpleviolet1 · 17/09/2017 23:25

Waves to all. Flight was ok. Did cried a bit. Didn't like the decent. Like me. My ears always go :(

But fell asleep once at apartment in travel cot. Think helped to bring her gro bag - pink sheet and Obv rabbit x6 - just incase we lose them .....

Hope all you get sleep tonight. As do I and then breakie in the sunshine

Have packed far too much !!! But better to have and not use then want and don't have ......

Loved her lidl jar of cottage pie and Ella's peas

All milk was taken away at airport. Checked and returned - took the 200ml bottles so the silly no 100ml rule can be token (only for babies milk and water tho )

troodiedoo · 18/09/2017 03:07

Well done @blondes have a great time hope you have a drink in hand.

Carolann8584 · 18/09/2017 04:55

DD is (I'll use hughs term which I like ) cot surfing. On her monitor I can see her arms lol. How/where you fix you camera so it doesn't matter how much she spins/rolls you can still see LO?

purpleviolet1 · 18/09/2017 08:15

Ahh have a great time @Blondeshavemorefun

@Carolann8584 cot surfing!!! Ds is the same. Thinking of getting a floating shelf but not sure where to position it. I like to see his face. Luckily his monitor allows us to move the camera 🎥 from the monitor so we can usually get a good visual but can't always see his face.

Ds struggling with teething, low grade temp, struggled with solids last night and this morning and has now completely refused lunch. Keeps biting gnawing everything, and a proper spit monster! Given him calpol and put him down for his nap. Will probably give him regular calpol until it eases enough to take temp away. I slept with him in bed last night as we were at my DM's and he was so wriggly I could not sleep. He finally woke for feed at 04.10am. Least it's later than 1-2am!

coupester · 18/09/2017 14:38

@purpleviolet1 hope he feels better soon!

I've already lost count, but I think this was day 4 of trying porridge and each day it's been getting a bit better. Wasn't quite as messy today and he definitely ate quite a bit of it! He had puréed carrots last night as was very neat probably because daddy was doing the feeding and he's always good for daddy. Will try another veg tonight. I'm starting to enjoy weaning Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/09/2017 15:33

@purple. Nurofen is good for temp and teething

@coup glad you are enjoying weaning more

Dd been asleep 2.5hrs. Bliss. Sun for me on balcony 🌞

Carolann8584 · 18/09/2017 15:53

DD managed a 2 hour nap this afternoon Smile

She woke at 4am again last night, despite all the layers she still felt cold when I went in to her. Her room was 22 degrees. Any suggestions?

I managed to get her back to sleep til 6 she just wanted to sit a chat. Didn't offer feed until 7:30 as usual and as usual she had 3oz then porridge at 8:30, gobbled it all up

troodiedoo · 18/09/2017 16:24

Dd was up several times in the night and woke for the day at half six. She has a cold and is teething. She's had a 2 hour sleep this afternoon though so I unashamedly went to bed also. Feel vaguely human again.

troodiedoo · 18/09/2017 16:25

You could try socks on her @carol. I can't sleep without socks on even in hot weather

Carolann8584 · 18/09/2017 16:43

As well as sleepsuit? The ones she has have thick feet on them. It's the top half of her that feels cold. Maybe a cardigan?

She's just had parsnips for the first time absolutely loved them Grin
