Thanks Carol. I feel better today. Have altered the way I'm taking my tablets so maybe it was those making me feel bad.

Our new Aldi opened today. I drove past it and the car park was full with queues to get in! Avoiding that for a bit... went to Asda and got a mini blender, some freezer pots and some Ella's kitchen pouches of single veg as they were on offer.

I'm getting ready for weaning, but I actually don't think DS is ready yet. The milk still seems to satisfy him for now so I might leave it til he's 6 months (25th).

troodiedoo · 14/09/2017 16:04

@HughLauriesStubble the packaging is near identical and smell supposed to be very good for the price, obviously not as potent. I've never managed to get any though, they've always sold out when they do a new drop. Candles are one of the many things we could cut back on but I need them

troodiedoo · 14/09/2017 16:06

The baby event in asda has some great stuff. High chair 12 pounds it's the same model as the ikea one.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/09/2017 20:18

DD keeps putting her mussie over her face

Carolann8584 · 14/09/2017 20:18

Bit of progress made. DD had 3 40 minute naps today. Went straight to sleep at 6:30 after 6oz bottle. She normally has 7oz but she had carrots at 4ish so I guess she didn't need the extra ounce

She's had no problem with bedtime since she was a few weeks old. Let's see if she wants her DF tonight.

Carolann8584 · 14/09/2017 20:22

My DD likes to stroke her face with hers. We cuddle it between us for her feeds during the day. I always have to use 2, 1 for the cuddle and 1 for what it's actually used for lol

MotherofA · 14/09/2017 20:23

Hi All , hope everyone has had a good day ! I had 9am nails too blondes haha .

I haven't been to any baby groups Carol. I'm not very confident and there's nothing close by . I see friends with babies when I can but that is it . I downloaded hoop , it's great but the only thing in walking distance is a mum & baby fitness in the park and I don't dare to do that 😂🙈.

TBH I never went to groups with DD , she went to nursery and she has always been forward and outgoing so no worries.
Hope everyone's weaning is going well . I gave DD a chunk of cheese after her dinner and she loved it ! She made a right mess haha .

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/09/2017 21:30

I have lots of mussies - dd liked themAnd knows it's sleep time when has one

Spent the day having French nails and pink toes and packing - dd has more stuff /clothes then me

Last night of working till after holiday

Havnt truer dd on cheese. Sure she I'll have some and ice cream on holiday

MotherofA · 14/09/2017 21:34

Ah bet you can't wait ! Can't believe you work at night, how do you find it ? It's crazy how much stuff you need for a baby on hols !

Will have to check out these jo malone candles at Aldi... we have two new stores opening not too far away

We've only been to baby massage really. Going to book in for baby sensory and check out the sing song at the library now that we are settled in.

Won't use talc - any ideas what I can do with it? Donate somewhere?

@coupester and @HughLauriesStubble , hope you feel better! How is the LO?

@coupester how sweet that he signed the card 😍

@Abacha congrats on starting weaning sounds like a good first day. Also at the lady wanting another adult....

@MotherofA No right of wrong with groups etc. Whatever works for you

Nothing new to report from me. We've swapped milk and solids around so milk first and his intake was better today. Last night he woke for feed but settled straight away so let's see what he does tonight ...

Thank you. Have wifi so you can't escape from me ha ha

Working at night is slightly tiring. Think back to when our dc were newborn /few weeks old and up Thro night then up daytime with them

Try not to do more then 3 nights in an row and then sleep soundly at home / tho I do get rest /some sleep when baby sleeps

And Obv weeks get easier as I get them in a routine and sleeping through

MotherofA · 14/09/2017 22:29

Ah glad DD is ok Hugh !

Thanks purple , you are right . I might go to the library with her to be fair .

Most things seem to be mornings and she sleeps almost the whole time from school run till lunch so it's tricky!

As for the talc , I had lots with DD1 and I think I chucked it out or used it on roots ore wash it's what dry shampoo is made of after all 🤣

Hats off to you for doing it blondes !

coupester · 14/09/2017 22:34

@MotherofA I have the same problem - all of the groups seem to be mornings and DS has a morning nap which varies in length day to day but generally means we don't leave the house until 11 at the earliest!!! Unless we really have to be somewhere of course.

I'm not very confident either so hate going to new places on my own Sad

MotherofA · 14/09/2017 22:42

Yes me too coupester , I'm quite bad and working from home a few years has probably made me worse .
I just reassure myself with knowing that I was the same with DD1 and she is fine but I do wish I had more confidence Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/09/2017 00:15

Can you wake after an hr/by 10 the. Then can have a nice long afternoon sleep

purpleviolet1 · 15/09/2017 07:40

Morning all, hope everyone had a good night.

Ds woke again at 230 exactly for a feed. Gave him 5oz and back down and thankfully he has had 5.5oz this morning Grin will give breakfast inabit now. Think I might introduce the dream feed again. Or slowly cut down the oz offered so he begins to take more during the day.

Nappy leaked last two nights - wee this time. Think because nappy too small, the vest was wet at the back above nappy. Will try size 4 again and hopefully the poonamis won't leak!

Anyone's LO suffering from eczema? DS seems to have developed some on his face. We are using the aveeno moisturising lotion but probably need the thicker one.

What's everyone up to today? Any nice plans for the weekend?

Carolann8584 · 15/09/2017 07:56

DD took her DF last night at 11. Sleep through til 6:20 so almost 12 hours in total!

She had just under 4oz for brew. Going to give her some porridge soon hoping if she's a bit fuller she might sleep a bit longer for her morning nap

Just shopping and cleaning for me today. DP will be picking up DSC from school later for the weekend Grin

troodiedoo · 15/09/2017 08:25

Morning all 😀 off to our music group this morning and there are a few community events tomorrow that we might pop along to.
Might see if I can get a pedicure this afternoon, starting to resemble a hobbit.

One of my group mums said you can get prescription cream from the hv at clinic that is very good for eczema.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/09/2017 08:40

I'm a believer of the df so yes give that and hopefully will sleep through @purple

Aveedo is fab cream and can get in prescription plus bath oilment etc

Going for our weekly chat and cuddle with the oldies this am. We go to a local care home where my friend works and dd has a cuddle with them all and I chat and have a cuppa

Then music this afternoon and hopefully loooooooooong sleep 230/430 .......

Chinese tonight with Df eldest daughter and bf

MotherofA · 15/09/2017 09:34

Oh no leaky nappies are a pain purple especially at night !

Troodie hahaha I'm going for one next week . Can't get fingers and toes done in one sitting with baby 😂.

I use coconut oil on excema tbh or olive oil . Rosehip oil is very healing too but more expensive.

We just walked the school run (I try to walk most mornings ) and rained on ☔️ I always feel more productive if I walk in the morning .

coupester · 15/09/2017 09:35

DS was being a PITA for his morning nap, in two hours I think he slept for maybe 30mins! I wouldn't mind if I thought he'd make it up during the day, but he'll probably sleep even less!

A friend of ours used to be a photographer so he's coming over on Sunday as he offered to take some photos of DS for us. I've never been interested in photo shoots but it would be nice to have some decent photos instead of the rubbish ones I take on my phone!

Carolann8584 · 15/09/2017 09:42

Watching DD roll around on her monitor. Put her down for her nap after her bottle, porridge and morning poonami, she still wakes after 40 minutes Hmm
