When we had it we were in a 3rd floor flat with no fire escape - the ladder would have been the only option!

mustrunmore · 20/04/2007 14:06

We only got one when we moved here. Before, we were in a 2nd floor flat with windows too small to get through

MrMacca

Jelley · 20/04/2007 17:25

I was very confused as to why you were painting your escape ladders earlier

I have put three new pics on my profile. You can see in two of them why the new fence bothers me so much (I took them at 4.30 today)

Flamesparrow · 20/04/2007 17:33

pmsl - painting ladders would just be silly

Ooh the fence is ugly! Lovin the hair, and what's the wrap?? (That sounded a bit more accusing than planned - its an excited to see ?? rather than !)

Jelley · 20/04/2007 17:35

It is a nature babies one.I bought it second hand from another mumsnetter.
I bought an airflow too but it is too small (sold as large) so it's going back)

Flamesparrow · 20/04/2007 18:22

lol @ the blush!

Jelley · 20/04/2007 19:36

I have 3 coldsores, and all my eczema is back I'm still not over this cold.

Someone come and cheer me up....

please

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/04/2007 19:37

Hmmm, see what you mean about the fence!

Discovered this afternoon that dd hasn't inherited my allergy . I'm allergic to wasp stings .

Put her to bed at 7 as she'd only napped for 40 mins all day, and was drastically in need of sleep! Reallllly hoping for a long sleep else we'll be up incredibly early (for us).

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/04/2007 19:38
Jelley · 20/04/2007 19:40

for the wasp sting. (Whispers - does the thing about having to be exposed more than once apply to stings?)

Wine would be nice. I have no nice treat type stuff in the house. I may have to make toast.

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/04/2007 19:43

Oh god, I don't know Jelley - hadn't even occured to me! Ah well, hopefully we won't find out for a long time.

Have some of my choccy too. Or failing that, peanut butter on toast is good.

2boysmacca · 20/04/2007 19:53

I'm eating one of the boys Easter eggs . Had a glass of fizz and now I'm slurping a glass of red [hic]

Flamesparrow · 20/04/2007 19:57
Jelley · 20/04/2007 19:57

I'm drinking virtual wine, and eating virtual chocolate. Thanks csws

Jelley · 20/04/2007 19:57

LOL

Flamesparrow · 20/04/2007 19:58

It always makes DH smile so thought I'd try it on you!

for wasp sting (will be sensible now)

Flamesparrow · 20/04/2007 19:59

Macca - DD spotted an egg in the fridge earlier "Mummy!! MUMMY!!!! An eesser egg!!!"

"MINE!!!"

(twas my G&B one!!!)

Flamesparrow · 20/04/2007 19:59

("mine" was me )

Jelley · 20/04/2007 20:12

The kids got no Easter Eggs so there aren't any to pinch.
I didn't get any, either.

Flamesparrow · 20/04/2007 20:21

I only got one because I signed up the easter swap and bought the wrong egg

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/04/2007 20:23

No eggs here either, but I did get a bag of licorice allsorts from mil, which I'm eating now (didn't have choc in the end).

dd been awake and screaming since 8. Given her nurofen and another bf, but not quite asleep yet. Can see it being another bad night.

Can those of you with 3 year old boys please tell me a good 3rd birthday present for around £15-£20 that I can get hold of easily tomorrow please (toys r us or elc both fine)?

Jelley · 20/04/2007 20:36

I've got tea and toast with home made lemon curd

No idea for presents.

Flamesparrow · 20/04/2007 20:39

They tend to like balls

Flamesparrow · 20/04/2007 20:41

Argh, realising that I am missing nappies somewhere

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/04/2007 20:50

dd up and hysterical. Have given calpol as well as nurofen now and hoping that does the trick.
