if i had a girl i would call her something sweet that could be carried through to teenage years and older, i like;
emily
sophie
jade
rebecca (can be becky) when older
daisy
or my personal favorite
kyla

good luck with deciding on a name and please post what your final decision is, would be intresting to hear!

violetsmum · 26/03/2007 23:50

just seen you want northern european names, that's rather dashed my southern belle theme.

Sabine
Freya
Araminta
Arabella
Ariadne
Arianna
Angelica

meadow
&
tira (spelt tuna in norway i think)

ds wasnt named for ages...at least 2 months or so....it'll come...!

Hi Blonde!

I like:

Freya
Anna
Freda
Ursula
Joanna
Erin
Ingrid

Having said that, if my scan had shown a girl, we were going to call "her" Morag.

But imvho you could do much worse than a strong and noble name like Ruth.

BallsOfChocolate · 27/03/2007 00:13

She sounds too elfin and diaphanous for a Helga ish name. She needs s light and airy name.

violetsmum · 27/03/2007 00:14

Elfie...short for Elfrida

perfect

violetsmum · 27/03/2007 00:14

or Elfrea

Mossie · 27/03/2007 00:15

Hmm. Maybe. I think Freya and Erin are quite light and airy though?

Mossie · 27/03/2007 00:16

Ooh yes Elfrea. Love it!

BallsOfChocolate · 27/03/2007 00:17

WEll now that's sorted I'm off to bed. Night all.
