Hi fresh!

Sleep is a bit better with 3 hourly wakeups and going down easily after a feed. Sure beats 2 hourly wakeups and screaming all night! Still daydreaming about the days when DD slept through 6-7 hour stretches before needing a feed. Will I ever sleep again???

Upped the formula feeds to 2 bottles a day and the rest still breastfeeding. How many mls does your DS take? DD is under 6kg and is taking between 180-210ml of formula a feed. I want her to gain weight but she just doesn't have the appetite for more. Trying to feed her solids 3 meals a day now but she really only eats a very small serving each time.

She can sit now but still loses her balance quite a bit, not crawling properly but can do a belly flop crawl all over the room and yesterday managed to pull herself up to standing position in the bath of all places. Cot has now been lowered in case she decides to make a repeat performance in the middle of the night!

It's been a long time since my last post. DS is now 8 months and has been on solids for the last 2. I managed to stick to breastfeeding (through all its challenges and hurdles) and the little guy is sleeping 10-11hrs a night at the moment (please don't let me have jinxed it now!) he's only just cutting his first tooth and not quite crawling yet but definitely getting frustrated with himself that he's not in the move yet.

We had a slight hiccup with weaning when he reacted to egg so we've had to go to the allergy clinic but luckily he doesn't seem to have a problem with anything other than the egg. Anyone else had any food allergies? I've been told that I should make sure to give him peanuts often before he is 11 months to reduce the risk of still delveoping a peanut allergy. Just wondered if anyone else had heard this?

Also has anyone got a very vocal little one? DS can't half shout.. particularly at meal times and I can't really work out why. It's not a cry and it doesn't seem to correlate to being too hungry or being full. He just shouts! .. sounds abit like a crazy old drunk tbh! I don't know whether I should be telling him to stop or trying to ignore it and hope he stops because he isn't getting attention for it!

Hope everyone is well Smile

Hi dizzy ! Glad to hear DS is sleeping well!

No allergies here yet but DD is now on formula in addition to breastfeeding - the first on we tried her on made her gassy and gave her rashes. We've changed her formula and it's been much better - I don't think it's a cows milk allergy but I think the other formula just didn't agree with her.

I haven't heard that about peanut allergies? I thought babies either had it or not and giving it to them early just means you find out sooner?

DD is going well but still not sleeping through since the 4 month sleep regression ... and now we've hit the 8 month sleep regression and she's getting up in the cot instead of sleeping Confused it's never ending isn't it??? She's crawling, clapping and climbing so quite active - but it means her weight gain has slowed down so I'm trying to feed her high calorie foods to get her weight up.

Hello all!

I lost this thread it would seem

Ds has just turned 10 months, hes crawling standing and walking around furniture. Very babbly and shouty, he can say mama and baba (dada)

Sleep is hit and miss, eating lots of solids chopped no purees. Still on 3 x 8oz bottles a day!

How is everyone else doing?

Hi!

DS is almost 10 months and we've got lots of standing and cruising furniture too! Saying mama, dada and another which says like baba.

Tried moving him into his own room which is a bit hit and miss and he ends up in our bed quite a bit Blush He is eating like a tropper and we're down to 2x7oz bottles, one morning and then bedtime, and then he has around 4oz of formula with his lunch.

Scary to think we'll be celebrating 1st birthdays in 2 months time!!

Extremely scary

Was just watching ds yesterday wondering where my baby went! Hes a right bruiser!

Watching DS figuring things out and learning new things is just fascinating. I could watch him all day! Seems like only yesterday he was this tiny baby who could fit in the crook of my arm....
