That is excellent reasoning nef, and kind of what I'm starting to think. If I can afford to pay someone to do a job I don't want to do then that's good for everyone! Don't think I can get DH to see it that way though. But after an argument about washing up again this week - our main area of conflict and likely to be the cause of our divorce - I can only see it as avoid thing!

I would have to leave the house too pis. Just awkward! Rather risk that the steal all my property than hang around while they clean!

Well done on the run pud, that's an impressive start! I'm struggling to find the motivation to go out there, mainly tiredness making me lazy. Been to park run a couple of times now and last week managed for the first time without stopping but somehow had a shitter time than the week before when I stopped twice! Just having to try and accept I might not get back to as quick as I was.

I have a kit day Thursday. My first full day to test if I can in any way function on the four hours of broken sleep I estimate I get a night. Uh oh!!

Hobbit19 · 23/03/2016 06:53

Good work on the parkrun Dulcet, there is some evidence to show that runners get faster times if they walk part of a race - so you are on to a winner! Parkrun is starting iny town in the summer so I need to be able to run 5k by then!

Don't want to say the business on here Niff, as it will be a bit 'outing', but the good news is that we have decided for various reasons that DH is going to stick at his job for another year whilst setting up the business alongside, and hopefully go full time with it in a year or so. This massively removes the financial pressure of it..... so I'm going to petition for a cleaner! So excited!! Sado

CarrotPuff · 23/03/2016 17:56

Well done on exercising viroids.

DP off tomorrow. Really love looking forward to not getting up with DS at 6am!

When do the night sweats end? It's fucking gross.

RPopz · 23/03/2016 19:20

Vile aren't they! I think mine lasted quite a while carrot, 8-12 weeks maybe...

You're all bloody amazing for running more than a metre! Have some cake Grin

Lalathelastdinosaur · 24/03/2016 01:37

Hi! I've been shit at posting but I'm reading!

We've started sleep training so hopefully he's going to sleep better and I'll have energy and time to post!!!

Lovely to see so many new grad mums here! Gouda I missed you ! Congratulations!!!

Will post asap. Work in morning and I'm doing sleep training by myself for continuity so any wake ups are mine. I'm going to need ALL the coffee! So far so good - I've watched him settle himself a number of times on the monitor which never normally happens. He's going down drowsy but awake and last time only took a few mins to go off to sleep. Cmon miniLa you can do this!

CarrotPuff · 24/03/2016 01:46

Good luck la! What are you doing for the sleep training?

honeysucklejasmine · 24/03/2016 03:05

Found you! I seem to have fallen off the Fred for a bit.

We're all well here. A was finally discharged from midwives on Wednesday so yay! Also weighed her and she is indeed gaining weight, she's just tiny. But same percentile as birth so no worries there.

Going to see dsis today. Day trip to the Midlands! Her dc3 is a few days older than A so we haven't met since either of them were born. Really excited to meet the DC and also looking forward to comparing sizes, as he is almost 3lb heavier! (A has only just overtaken his birth weight.)

So I am currently on the sofa, on "pass 3" with the pump. Aiming to reach 3oz on this pass. Highly exciting, my life. A is asleep (I hope) upstairs.

Hadca whinge at DH yesterday. I bought some plain white long sleeves vests go go under her t shirts (not a cardigan fan). Also she wears long sleeves vests to bed. Yesterday evening DH put her in a white one for bedtime. I gritted my teeth as I hadnt told him that were specifically for daytime, and all the coloured and patterned ones were for nighttime. So, can't be angry, he's not psychic. But I did then tell him the plan so it didn't happen again. So, last night he takes her up to change for bed, and comes down in a white vest. Ffs. Angry I told him off for not listening to me.

Right. Am just under 3oz but this I am empty. So, to wash pump and back to bed!

CarrotPuff · 24/03/2016 04:22

Honey that's exciting, great to have children of the same age. Enjoy your trip!

My 4am fun included wee and poo all over changing mat Confused

MaGratgarlik1983 · 24/03/2016 13:42

Hello sorry to be so rubbish at posting! I remember pumping - DS wouldn't latch so I just pumped all the time for the first few weeks!! Cleaning and sterilising the pump is such a faff! I would also like a cleaner but can't justify it to DH as I'm still on mat leave! Would be nice though, I hate doing it!
DS still has a cough left from his bug but seems back on his food and milk - taking him to the weigh in place next week. He's started madly giggling and playing peekaboo with me himself which is amazing. Makes up for the grumbles about not quite being able to crawl! Anyhoo have good long weekends all :)

CarrotPuff · 24/03/2016 15:41

Damn it, I meant to go to boob group today, but completely forgot! Watched OBEM with O sleeping on me instead...

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 24/03/2016 16:11

tiptoes in and whispers

Hello viroids... I did a baby on Sunday - she's a bonny girlbee and she's stolen my heart. My fanjo is a bit sore but I am on cloud nine. Nice to see some familiar viroids over here who I have been missing in the Grads fred... room for one more?

tiptoes out

purpleporpoise · 24/03/2016 17:09

Yayyy congratulations SmileSmile and welcome Sky

I think we're teething. He's been awful all day, no temp but rosy cheeks. He's refused all food and only drunk milk all day. He spent most of the morning asleep on me, calpol didn't do much but he perked up after nurofen so we had a trip out to aldi for nappies. He was ok while we were out, he slept in the car for most of it. Then he's refused food again when we came home and drained a bottle.
He's been drooling for months but it's ramped up today. I can see 2 teeth in his gums and a white dot above one of them so I think it's breaking through.
I've got melon and cucumber in the fridge for him to chew on but he's not interested. He screamed the house down each time I put a bib on him today SadSadSad
Thank fk DH is home for 4 days now

Hi Sky and congratulations on your new bundle!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 25/03/2016 00:20

Hi la and purple Wink

I guess I shall do roll call...

Name: Sky
Age: 37
DCs: DSD 6.5, DD1 nearly 6, and DD2 aka MiniSky 5 days young...

Currently cluster feeding Mini and recovering from a couple 2nd degree tears due to shoulder dystocia. Eating all the cake now that I am clear of gestational diabetes. Quite emotional... have been out for walks almost every day. Planning trip to the country to see the outlaws in Saturday for Easter fun with DCs.

Lalathelastdinosaur · 25/03/2016 00:33

Carrot doing gentle gradual withdrawal sort of - basically first 2 days put down drowsy but awake and if he cries I put hand on his chest and talk/shh/sing so he knows I'm there, but I don't pick him up. It's working really well so far. Day 2 and he's just gone off after a bit of crying.

Promise to post properly soon and catch up with all of you, but I need to get some sleep before his next wake up! He's starting to self settle I can see via video monitor, which he's never done before, but I'm expecting a wake up around 1 for feed

gaggiagirl · 25/03/2016 00:34

Hello all!.
My run of amazing sleeping luck (3 nights) have been shot to shit by the presence of DP who is usually on nights.
He has ruined everything. So I'm back to partying all night with the boy who never sleeps.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 25/03/2016 01:11

We are all night party crew over here too ga Mini feeds about every hour or so through the night. My milk has only just come in yesterday so hoping she will get the hang of bigger feeds and longer sleeps. She is great at that in the day, naturally.

Hobbit19 · 25/03/2016 02:55

Ga, wtf did he do?! Unacceptable!!

Welcome Sky!

La, I'm so pleased the sleep training is working!

jellypi3 · 25/03/2016 04:49

waves manically hey sky congrats on your little bundle!!!

I feel like I'm dying. Dealing with a hungry baby whilst having what i can only assume is the flu isn't fun. Also managed to wake her up coughing whilst she was asleep on the boob. #parentingfail.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 25/03/2016 05:08

jelly! Here I am... I guess I'm not hoing to be pregnant forever after all.... sorry to hear you are poorly. How is little one? Mini has been up feeding all night. She seems to think daytime is for long sleeps. Very happy tomorrow is a bank holiday. She can sleep on Daddy while I catch up on zzzzzz

jellypi3 · 25/03/2016 05:44

Yes take advantage and get plenty of sleep! My little one is good, I can't complain really. She sleeps pretty well at night, I'm just not feeling well (had a fever the last two nights) So all I want to do is sleep! Still I'm chain watching Game of Thrones whilst boobing, life could be worse! Grin I just can't believe R is 8 weeks tomorrow. Where does the time go???

CarrotPuff · 25/03/2016 07:55

Oh no Ga what happened?

La glad sleep training is working!

Jelly hope you feel better soon, being ill when you have to look after the baby is not fun at all!

Sky it's the same here, lovely long stretches during the day, up every 1-2h at night. Last night was a bit crap, so I'm feeding now and going back to sleep.

RPopz · 25/03/2016 08:14

Congrats sky, welcome to the dark side!

Hope you're ok jelly - I had flu a couple of weeks ago and had to draft my Mum in to have minipopz because I basically couldn't move! Is there anyone around to help?

So minipopz slept in until 10am yesterday when DH was looking after him.... OBVIOUSLY I don't get the same privilege AngryAngry

Anyone up to anything exciting for the Easter weekend? Chocolate

jellypi3 · 25/03/2016 08:55

It's annoying when they behave better for other people eh!! Did you get a lie in at least popz?

Yeah my nan has been helping with her thankfully. The night before last my temperature was 40 and I actually thought I was going to melt. Then I felt like I was going to freeze. I hate fevers.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 25/03/2016 13:08

Thanks popz! Hopefully minipopz will do it again and let you sleep in a bit!

MW came for 5 day check today. Minisky has gained 15g since birth. So uh, no problems with feeding here then... got the all clear to have my first bath. Feel about 200x better!

Lots of visitors coming to meet mini this arvo. Hoping we can both have a wee sleep for an hour first.

Happy weekend to all WineCakeChocolateFlowers
