Wow congrats pud! Long stretches of sleep are amazing! R was up quite a lot last night so I'm feeling shattered! But the night before she did 5 hours straight! There's no pattern to it.

snap hope your little man is OK. Sounds like you are going through it :(

I moan about my dp but he is really good with R, he just needs his sleep or he's a grumpy sod.

purpleporpoise · 19/03/2016 14:19

Woohoo new house Popz. You need a cleaner now you're back at work. Mine is £30 every 2 weeks and the house is cleaned top to bottom.

Hurray for sleep Country

Me and DH are away for the night. B is with nana and we are sat in hotel lounge having a drink, after a nice lunch on the way up hereSmile

Maybe you can ask for a refund Carrot? Wink She is still very little though so her sleep may well get better.

Purple, I'm so jealous of your cleaner! Hopefully we will be able to afford/justify one soon! Have a lovely time tonight. I miss hanging out with my DH but he is on holibobs soon so hopefully we will get some time together then.

Poor P has had dreadful reflux today. I was considering upping her dose to three half sachets a day anyway but definitely going to try it after today. She was really sicky and unsettled and then she had this horrendous exorcist moment when she couldn't stop being sick and was screaming with tummy pain. I had to shout DH in from the garden to make me up a bottle of gaviscon and the difference was amazing, she was like a different baby 5 minutes after taking it. Hopefully 3 doses won't make her too constipated, but it was so horrible to see her in pain.

CarrotPuff · 19/03/2016 20:06

Oh poor P, but it's good the meds are helping.

Yes, will definitely try to take her back if she doesn't sleep through by 6 weeks Grin joking aside, C slept like a newborn (waking up every 1-2 hours) for 7 months, so I don't have high expectations. Although O is strikingly different to her brother already - much more chilled out and easier to put down, so I'm hoping she'll be a bit better...

purpleporpoise · 19/03/2016 21:47

Poor P hope she doesn't end up constipated Pud, get a cleaner and don't tell him. Pay them cash and go out for coffee he will never know

Cleaner isn't a luxury in our house, it's essential.

Highly recommend a night away with the man if you can. We've had a lovely time so far. We've been in the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Back to the room for a shower and a JS. Then we had a fabby meal and wine. And B was in bed before 8 for nana.

Hi viroids, mind if I join?
I was on the grads fred, although didn't post very often. I mainly use fb but could do with the company esp during the million night feeds thanks to leap 4 +month 4 sleep regression + a stinking cold + possible teething!!

Roll call-
Name: rdm
Age: 32
Ds: H 18 weeks

So we're currently sleeping 8-12ish then up every 1.5-2 hours and he wants boobing every time! People (MIL) say I'm spoiling him and making a rod for my own back but it gets him back to sleep in 10 mins so I'm doing it!

Gaviscon and infacol here too, both did wonders. Although we're weaning off them now.

Very jealous of your cleaner purple, I've almost stopped noticing the dust in my house, it's been there so long! Do you feel like you have to leave the house when they're there though? I imagine I'd feel awkward!?

purpleporpoise · 20/03/2016 09:02

Hey rdm welcome back Smile

I do try to leave the house when they come round as nice as they are I feel a bit weird about it.

Hi rdm!

cookielove · 21/03/2016 07:14

We have been thinking about getting a cleaner!

ZylaB · 21/03/2016 07:38

I love our cleaner! She's £12.50 an hour and she's brilliant. :)

DulcetMoans · 21/03/2016 10:39

I'm considering a secret cleaner to come while DH is at work. Maybe once a fortnight? I'll pay £30 a fortnight for someone to look after those things I never get round to!

Pisghetti · 21/03/2016 11:51

I've just arranged a cleaner but through a company so paying a little more (£36 for two hours every fortnight but the cleaners are CRB checked and they provide holiday/sickness cover, full insurance etc). I have a team of four doing a spring clean today so every inch of the place is being cleaned. I wasn't even nearly keeping up with housework and it was getting me down. I'll only have to deal with dishes and laundry from now on which is plenty! They'll come when I'm at work but I would go out as I'd feel in the way.

Nefertitts · 21/03/2016 13:26

We've always had a cleaner. It's a necessary non-divorce measure in our marriage. I always felt guilty about it until I read an economist's justification for having one: she would prefer to spend two extra hours a week doing something she enjoyed and was good at to earn money to pay someone else to do something she hated and was bad at. That was easy when I was working 50 hour weeks plus commute. Less easy on mat leave but it's not like I've now got loads of extra time on my hands..

Hobbit19 · 21/03/2016 14:14

Gaaaaa, I soooooo want a cleaner! Unfortunately, finances feel fragile here as both DH and I are dropping to PT work from September to look after P/set up a business. Hopefully from Xmas this will feel a bit more settled and we will be able to justify the expense. Xmas seems very far away!

CarrotPuff · 21/03/2016 19:27

I'd love a cleaner too but I'm not getting any mat pay so can't justify the cost...

ILs took C for a day today and I ventured into the town with the pram. Now my stomach and pelvis are hurting. I guess I should take it easier than I thought...

CarrotPuff · 21/03/2016 22:38

Fussy evening here...

Hobbit19 · 22/03/2016 01:32

Did you have a C Section Carrot? I'm 12 weeks PP and still get pelvic floor pain if I overdo it. It is much, much better than it was though. Ibuprofen is your friend.

I did my first post-birth run tonight. I managed a mile in 11 minutes, which, having not run for a year, I am very pleased with!

CarrotPuff · 22/03/2016 03:33

No, it was vaginal delivery. Good to know. I just can't remember this with DS, but then I didn't have SPD then.

Well done pud!

Nefertitts · 22/03/2016 03:49

Bloody hell pud, running? Have you been doing your core strength exercises? When?

Can I be nosy and ask what the business is? I'd never have the guts to go it alone...

Hobbit19 · 22/03/2016 12:30

I've been a bit rubbish at doing the inner core workouts Niff, but I do my pelvic floors religiously twice a day and I think that has helped. About three weeks ago I felt that my core was much stronger - I could lift P's car seat put in one go etc, so I think it has somewhat healed itself. She says, hopefully. I've been climbing once a week for about a month and I push the pram up lots of hills too which I think helps a lot! Everything 'feels' normal again now, just with a little extra insulation....

PixieChops · 22/03/2016 18:22

I've found you all! Hurray! Hope everyone's good, I'll catch up in a little while Grin

Hobbit19 · 22/03/2016 18:55
