pis that sounds rather annoying! Fx you have a better afternoon!

I have had a ridiculously productive morning, washed the bottles, run the dishwasher, emptied the dishwasher, two loads of laundry done, entire flat hoovered and bins are out! E couldn't quite stay up till after lunch and has gone down for a sleep :) he was so cute when I was hoovering chasing it and giggling Grin

And now I am sitting down and doing nothing :)

cookielove · 27/10/2015 10:55

la 7 hours whoop whoop that's a brilliant sleep :)

Hi bat yay a newbie ahhh jealous lots of newborn snuggles :)

la loved the video, motherhood suits you!! You look so happy at the end Smile

RPopz · 27/10/2015 11:06

Wow La! I remember Minip doing a mammoth sleep like that and waking up like WTAF!! Go B! Make the most of it before sleep regression... :-p Enjoy the cinema!

It gets easier for a bit Toast but then they learn to move and all hell breaks lose Grin

I'm making Mrpopz go and stay at his Mum's so he can think about whether he wants a real life or whether he wants to be a bellend instead. He's ignoring me at the mo, presumably thinks I'm joking....

RPopz · 27/10/2015 11:09

Sounds like a crazy morning Pis It always seems to be one thing after another like that doesn't it. Hope you get somer respite later!

purplewhale · 27/10/2015 12:56

Yikes what a morning Pis! Hope the afternoon is going better

Popz I hope that staying at his mums gives him the wake up call he needs. Would some counselling help too? It seems he's unaware of anyone's needs but his own. Gx for you though.

La 7 hours is impressive! Hope it's a sign of things to come.

B has been awake all morning...totally unheard of! He's in the first leap now and things are definitely changing. He was cooing at his playmat this morning, he's never noticed any of it before. I put him in the baby nest thing while I had a shower and he seemed to like that :-)

Minion · 27/10/2015 14:34

Hi gals.
I fell off Fred after busy weekend etc. R started nursery yesterday as I'm back at work
She's not eating there at the moment so that's a worry. Hoping it's a phase.
And because she's not eating, she's waking for food.

Sooooooo tired I had a 8:30 bedtime last night
Please tell me it gets better.
I've read through but can't remember jack shit so let's just say I agree with everything.

Fleurchamp · 27/10/2015 15:29

Poor you min I can't imagine trying to work in a sleep deprived state.

Sounds like a rubbish day pis

popz I hope your DH gets the kick up the bum he needs

la I am off to baby cinema tomorrow. How long is the film? Impressive sleep from B. S has done 7 hours a few times in the dim, distant past. Not sure why he can't/ won't do it now Confused he doesn't seem to go more than 5 hrs nowadays.

LaLaLaaaa · 27/10/2015 16:03

Honestly I've no idea why he slept so long! His night feed was shite and I just suck him down quickly and then faffed with the video monitor.

Pis bless you that's one spectacular sequence of shite there! Dreading baby proofing our house! It's tiny so pretty much nowhere to hide anything.

Min poor scone!!!! Hope she starts eating again x

Purple ok this is what I do for wind during the day:

Massage tummy and legs - twice a day, leaving enough time before bed for the wind to come out (hour or two).
Infacol before each feed.
Hold upright at least 10 min after every feed (including night!).
Take him out in sling as much as possible rather than buggy.
Tummy time once a day.
Make sure he gets enough sleep during day so that he's not too cranky at bed to minimise screaming.
Control feeding to be nice and calm to prevent wind going in, and prevent screaming which creates wind.
Bicycle and hula legs each nappy change.
Push legs back to chest regularly (and each time when picking up to feed during night).

I think that's everything?

Film was fab and he slept for half of it. Other half he fed or went 'gaAaaaaa!' Loudly

So...this leap. Fucking hell we are only at the beginning and its shite! He just seems so distressed and so uncomfortable! He's also found his voice so he's been making loads of noise all day. Hasn't pooed for 2 days and the massage oil has irritated his skin so I've got to lay off the massage for a bit.

LaLaLaaaa · 27/10/2015 16:05

Toast enjoy staying with parents!! Such a luxury :)

Popz I can feel how sad and frustrated you are through your posts. Can I come and kick his ass? I really hope he starts to properly listen xx

LaLaLaaaa · 27/10/2015 16:06

Cookie Smilethank you!

RPopz · 27/10/2015 20:26

Thanks La - me too xxx

It's good that they have current films at your baby cinema La. They just do random old ones here.

How's work going Min? Are you missing mat leave or is it nice to be back in the adult world now? Hope R stops her hunger strike soon!

DH is here... Fucks sake.

RPopz · 27/10/2015 20:28

Loved our babynest purple .... Will definitely start using it earlier next time though... He started trying to stand in it after a few days! Little bugger. It's so lovely when they start taking notice of things and chattering

purplewhale · 27/10/2015 21:01

Thanks La I've started it already Smile

Popz what happened? Any discussion? Did you tell him you're serious? Hope you're ok love

DulcetMoans · 27/10/2015 21:10

How do you make him know you are serious popz? Can you go stay at your parents instead? Will that help?

We have baby cinema here toast. Weds mornings, 10.30. Spectre tomorrow and in giving it a go. Even though I don't care much about bond!

Great news on the sleep la. I hope it continues! You can slowly ease yourself into moving him into the other room. No rush.

Two contracting days there pis and cookie! Need to share out the productivity to prevent one of you having all your chores done while the other is covered in porridge!

Get in here bat! Tell us how it's going!

Just got my leap alert this afternoon for leap four. Great! I think he's ill though. Poorly tummy and a cold. Unless it's all just the leap. Who knows!

Minion · 27/10/2015 21:23

Urghhhhhhhhhh is all I have to report back on.
I'm enjoying the adult conversation. I'm not enjoying the new joy of baby vomming at night because she refused to eat at nursery and gorged at home. Oh and she is just not settling.
I'm more knackered now than before.

Sorry for the negative nelly

Minion · 27/10/2015 23:09

Another vom.
Bless her.
More outfit changes than Mariah this one.

ZylaB · 28/10/2015 08:06

H has rediscovered pissing all over stuff when having a nappy change! Yay... Yesterday we used 3 sleep suits, one lot of clothes and 2 sleeping bags! And she thinks it's funny :) :)

LaLaLaaaa · 28/10/2015 08:15

Dulcet leap 4 is a cunt!!!!! You must be in it already surely, as B is? It goes on due date not birth date. I have a moody teenager for a baby. I also have a shitty cold and I've been up all night. Nowt to do with baby.

Bf gurus - help!!! My B is now a screamy distracted nightmare to feed. I have to take expressed milk with me when I leave the house in case he won't feed as he screams in public when I try to put him to the breast and in the house he screams, fusses or stares around him instead of feeding. I don't know whether just to give up and start giving him formula or if this is a phase ??. Is this a leap thing? Trying to give him his bedtime feed is a nightmare of stealth using persuasion and a dummy.

Spectre was great! B slept through car chases, explosions and gun fights. Can't believe we tiptoe around when he's asleep at home.

Zyla and min - Arrrrgh! That sounds utterly frustrating. Really not looking forward to vommy stage, I hate vom

RPopz · 28/10/2015 08:32

It's a phase La - they are noticing things around them more now and so are less inclined to have their face shoved in your boob.... But obviously they're still hungry/ thirsty so they get cross about that too.... Little eejits Wink I imagine it'd be the same with a bottle too. It is frustrating. Nursing distraction it's called, there'll be something on KelleyMom about it I'm sure x

RPopz · 28/10/2015 08:35

His attempt at talking last night was to tell me for umpteenthbillionth time about how he didn't really use all the milk.... Yada yada yada.. Then more gormless staring after I exploded at him. I got bored and went to bed. He slept in the spare room. He's taken the dog out this morning for the first time in about a decade. Wonder how long that'll last

Minion · 28/10/2015 08:43

Had to keep her off today s she woke at 4 with a raging temp.
Seems a little better now but it's a lazy day ahead.
According to my mates this is it for the first 6 weeks or so while their immune system grows.
Sigh

Pisghetti · 28/10/2015 09:16

Aw poor Minimin. Hope she's better soon. Hopefully sitting with all the other children will inspire her eventually?

Frustrating Popz. He seems to have missed the point that the milk isn't the nub of the issue.

Yesterday got better once she'd had her sleep. Took the pram and went to Stratford upon Avon. Big mistake! No lifts at the train station but a helpful guy helped me carry her up and down the footbridge. On the way back another guy with a toddler in a pushchair suggested we team up and take them in turns so it worked out ok. Old buildings aren't pram friendly though so we couldn't do much. Took ages to find somewhere to eat. Saw a group of baby wearers sashaying up the stairs to a nice looking cafe - well jel! When MrPis finished work we went for a really nice meal at an Indian. BabyPis had a slightly later bedtime (but had slept all the way home) and Shock slept through. Well almost. She woke up at 6.30, downed my ginormous achey boob, had a coughing fit and vommed half of it back up and went straight back to sleep (after a swift outfit change). She's stirring a little bit now so we'll get up in a minute. I'm not expecting it to be repeated but hope for some of you that you might have at least one night's sleep ahead!

Fleurchamp · 28/10/2015 09:36

I have actually asked for a night away in a hotel for Christmas. Just me.

I doubt I will get it Grin

8 hours uninterrupted sleep would be amazing right now. I actually count S's age as the number of days since my last proper sleep. I love sleep. It was my hobby Smile

I think S is also in the leap a bit early. He is fussy at the boob too, I just figure if he is hungry he will feed. He barely took any this morning (as my leaky boobs will testify) and still doesn't seem fussed about eating. He is snoring away in the sling Grin

I have given up trying to get him to nap in his cot. Sling, pram and me will do - sleep is more important and we were just getting stressed about it.

Sleep at night is still an issue here. I want my two month old back Angry

Glad you had a good night pis

It's raining here, so I am going to meet a friend for lunch in a shopping centre. I must not spent any more money

cookielove · 28/10/2015 11:01

I have had to cancel all my plans today as Elijah was sick in the night :( fx it was just a one off, he seems OK this morning just tired so has been in bed for an hour! I have done two more loads Hmm and having to use the tumble dryer as the airers are full!

Minion · 28/10/2015 12:23

Virus apparently, so says dishy doc.
Won't eat and won't sleep unless I'm holding her, which is really getting in the way of cleaning up vom invested clothes.
Poor thing x
