Add your stats Viroids (or don't bother). I feel like there's something I'm supposed to write here but don't know what it is... Confused

Yay cookie glad he's getting better!

Minion · 28/09/2015 18:36

Hola
Sitting here with a huge glass of rioja as my child has decided that today she would be an utter bag!
I literally cannot tell you the sounds that have come out of her today ..

It's like she's possessed
This is not a holiday
Totally not relaxing

cookielove · 28/09/2015 18:55

I missed loads of posts so just had a little catch up.

la I completely understand your anxiety, its a big step leaving them alone! I was really anxious leaving E alone in his bedroom without his movement monitor and he was 8 almost 9 months old!

Agree with the baby groups, I loved going out and about with E, I have been stuck in with him for the last 5 days omg! I need to get out!!

zyla well done on the weight loss!

I let E sleep on me at night when he was little and I would doze, I would make sure I was supported by pillows everywhere and then we would snooze together. Always on the second half of the night!

PixieChops · 28/09/2015 19:23

La I fully understand why you'd be worried love you've been through a lot already. With P I was just as bad- checking her every hour or so and we didn't even have the mats or anything!
With R I'm much more chilled- we have a monitor downstairs and the other half in our room. We don't bother to have one with P if she wants us we know about it very quickly! I don't bother checking on him unless I come upstairs for a wee and I Bob my head in. P doesn't get checked on at all unless she's been ill or not herself during the day.

At the moment I can hear P giggling at something ST must be doing to her. He's bathed her tonight. We take it in turns with each kid. ST has also offered to do the pots tonight when we go back downstairs. I am very grateful, I look like a twat when I'm walking at the moment my pelvis is in agony. I hobbled out of the car before to post a letter in the Drs surgery (about my eye test yesterday- eyes have gotten slightly worse but not drastically and the opticians don't understand why my eyes are blurry sometimes) and ST went daft and is insisting that he's paying for a private physiotherapist because in his words "you can't even fucking walk" yep good observation! 10/10 for you Sherlock! I'm seeing the NHS one on bloody Thursday so what's two days?
I have to pop into the local village centre tomorrow- I'm leaving the kids with the MIL. Think I'll do what I need to do quickly and sit in Costas on my own for half an hour with my book and a large latte.

PixieChops · 28/09/2015 19:29

Min sorry minimin is being a bit of a shit. Unfortunately the don't get that a holiday is supposed to be relaxing. We're going to centre parcs close to Christmas and in a nutshell I can't be arsed going: MIL has paid for it which is lovely (and herself, FIL, SIL and her 2 year old will be there too) but you know when things are more hassle than they're worth?
We went last summer (with them) and oh my god... It was fun but I wanted to kill someone by the end of it. I have the patience of a gnat. In fact I don't think I know what patience is. I have none whatsoever.

Congrats Zyla on the weight loss! If I were you I'd celebrate with Cake

I'm just off to devour a family bag of Cadbury buttons. Somehow (and this is not stealth boasting in fact it's worrying me along with my other ailments) I manage to eat all fucking day and eat shit and not put weight on at all. I've been to the Drs and they've not got a clue wtf is going on. I should be the size of a small house. I'm not even joking. I'm losing weight whilst eating. There's something not right at all. I don't just eat shit all the time by the way I do have 3 proper meals and get my 5 a day, I just consume shit loads of chocolate as well. I wonder if I'm diabetic Hmm

ZylaB · 28/09/2015 19:52

pixie no cake, I've another 2.5 stone to lose! Hmm. Also, doubt you're diabetic as you'd be feeling sick and drinking loads and peeing everywhere if your sugars were so high that you were losing weight. (Been type 1 since I was 8 years old). That said, if you're worried I think some pharmacists will do a quick finger prick blood test if you ask? If not a docs will. Or I will if you live near me! Grin

PixieChops · 28/09/2015 20:24

Ahhh right that doesn't sound like me then Zyla, I've had so much blood taken from me over the last week I don't think I've much left to give! Haha

purplewhale · 28/09/2015 21:06

Evening ladies.

Baby group was fine. I can't remember anyone's name though. B slept through the whole thing. Everyone was nice though so we will go next week. Have found a baby massage class to go to with my friend but it doesn't start for 2 weeks. I'll have a look what else there is around here.

I need to hit the supermarket tomorrow. What do I do with B? Are there trolleys I can put him in? Or do I take him with his car seat?

Zyla well done on the weight loss, you're looking fab Smile

RPopz · 28/09/2015 21:23

The supermarkets round here have special trollies with like a rack that you can strap the car seat onto purple. It does unfortunately mean that you can't see where you're going with the trolley though!

Feel your pain zyla - minipopz screams like I'm killing him during all nappy/ clothes changes nowadays.... It'd take about a million percent less time if he'd just lay still!

Sorry about the bad day Min - enjoy your rioja though... Mmmm...

I think we're going to start NTNP at Christmas/ New year time so 2 under 2 could well be a possibility here Shock

Pisghetti · 28/09/2015 23:18

Hola!

Wow well done Zyla! I had a deeply undeserved (but taken gratefully) -1.5lbs tonight. 9.5 lbs in total which is a frustratingly un-round number.

I'm going to try out some of my smaller jeans this week. I think I'll be disappointed. I didn't fit into them before I was preggo so can't even blame BabyPis! I bought two cheapie pairs of Matalan jeans (£20 in total) to see me through the post partum phase. They're hanging off me and not very flattering now so hope I have something to graduate to...

Glad the group went well Purple! As Popz said the larger supermarkets have trolleys with a metal basket on top for car seats. You can't see where you're going but you do get to nibble at baby's toes while mowing down fellow shoppers. They're usually in the trolley park nearest the parent and baby parking spaces.

Ooh exciting times Popz! I've gone back on the pill so no happy accidents here Wink

My child has decided sleep is for losers. I'm practically delirious. If MrPis had complained about being tired just one more time this weekend I would have peeled the fucker's skin off. Still love him 'n all and I'm not going to engage in a game of 'who's more tired' but I'm the one sat up feeding her all fricking night. Got the changing time hysterics here too. She does her best rolling on the changing table too Hmm I had an epiphany though. When she's flapping about I really struggle with her leg poppers when changing her into a sleep suit and invariable get them wrong and have to redo them which prolongs the whole process. Then I realised I could do up the leg poppers before I put the sleep suit on so it goes on like leggings then I just have the top poppers to do up. Doesn't completely make the nighttime changeover hassle free but it helps.

Hope MINIon gets the holiday vibe soon Min

LaLaLaaaa · 29/09/2015 02:13

8 until 1.

8 until 1.

Woo!

Except the tyke won't go back to sleep now

ZylaB · 29/09/2015 03:45

Yay for 5 hours B!

pis well done! Get some smaller jeans, you'll feel better for it!

popz yes, we can't dress H as she constantly rolls over lol. Also thinking of trying for number 2 around Christmas time, but I haven't even got my periods back yet hmm... Maybe I went through menopause after having H?

She's been up 6 times since she went to bed now, stupid tooth!

ZylaB · 29/09/2015 03:46

And.. Why the hell didn't I think about that with the sleep suits?? slaps forehead

DulcetMoans · 29/09/2015 06:56

Trying for number two?! You guys are nuts! I never want to do this again!

Well done on the loss zyla and pis! Need to sort myself out too, will use you both as inspiration!

Same here with trollies purple. I'm not a fan though as they sit the car seat up so high and it's only held by a strap! Still, no better alternative really.

Hopefully centre parcs will give you a but of a break pixie, if only for all the hands of family that can help with the chidcare.

Bring back holiday mood MINIon! Hopefully yesterday was just a blip for you min.

Great slept news la! Did you get a good rest too?

Going into work today for first time since I left. I'm pretty nervous actually!

mountaingirl01 · 29/09/2015 07:07

Question : which parts of a second hand electric pump need to be replaced?
Thanks :)

ZylaB · 29/09/2015 08:56

9 times. We were up 9 times yawn. Fucking tooth isn't through yet grr

purplewhale · 29/09/2015 10:20

Thanks for the trolley advice. We'll have a go later.

Been to GP for more antibiotics, she's taken a sample of the leak, and suggested I use STs at night - actually not a bad idea! Midwife later then sainsburys I think.

B is giving us the nighttime run around. He's now wide awake at bedtime and snacking rather than drinking a bottle, so waking loads for more!

Minion · 29/09/2015 12:28

She's back to normal.

Thank fuck
It was all because she doesn't nap well in her pram and we spent all yesterday out and about.
She even enjoyed the sea today after screaming at it when we arrived.
And she slept through again!!
Yessssssssssss

Hear you on the teeth zyla! Get anbesol liquid from chemists! Marvellous stuff

RPopz · 29/09/2015 12:41

Really Dulcet!? You'll forget how bad it all was soon... I think I mostly have!!

I haven't had a period yet either zy. MiniPopz is still boobing a lot though. I'm sure I've ovulated though, I've had aches and pains and cm. At least if I'm not having periods I can't obsess over it quite so much hopefully!! Hmm

Hooray for long sleeps La and Min! Send the memo to minipopz yeah?

I need to get a bit more serious about putting him in his own room. I think we might be disturbing him. Mr P wakes him up every bloody morning crashing about getting ready for work Angry. That and bumping his head on the top of the cot.... What's the deal with cot bumpers nowadays?

mountaingirl01 · 29/09/2015 12:54

I conceived M without having periods popz definitely doable, doesn't stop the crazy though :D be interesting to see if I get them now I've had a baby..if the lochia ever damn stops

Just been to my first baby group..bit of a weird one, I was the only one with only a baby (as opposed to baby and toddler) felt a bit weird and out of place tbh. Plus the nice walk home turned into M screaming for 2 miles and a feed pit stop in a field Hmm

RPopz · 29/09/2015 16:14

Oh I didn't know that mountain... How come? (If you don't mind me asking!) Sorry the baby group wasn't up to much. Hope you can find a better one!

mountaingirl01 · 29/09/2015 17:03

They just didn't return after I stopped taking the pill! I never had much of a withdrawal bleed when on it and then for nearly 2 years after coming off..nada. Probably the reason why it took so long to conceive- it wasn't till lil taught me to temp that I realised I was still ovulating (albeit every now and then). It certainly made it amusing in early pregnancy when hcps tried to calculate edd based on LMP!

Toast85 · 29/09/2015 17:49

I'm impressed by field feeding mountain. Extreme! Sorry the group wasn't great though. I might pop along to the bf support service/group thing tomorrow, not sure if my questions are worthwhile but I just sort of feel like I'd like reassurance. Hope they won't laugh at me for asking silly questions.
Does anyone know why you can't drive for 6 weeks after a c section? What actually could happen? It's very annoying.

purplewhale · 29/09/2015 17:53

Toast I'm driving after 3 weeks. MW said if you can fasten seatbelt and do emergency stop you can drive. So I am doing. GP asked if I was today and I said yes, she didn't say anything. I previously checked with my car insurance and they said its down to medical professionals advice. I'm not the type to take chances or do something illegal. I'd suggest asking your MW or GP

DulcetMoans · 29/09/2015 18:00

It's all to do with your ability to do an emergency stop toast. If you speak to your insurance company they might be alright with you doing it earlier. I felt quite weak in the middle so didn't want to anyway but it is so annoying, I agree. Oh, and if you are looking at going to the babes tomorrow then do it. They are so lovely!

At the moment I really don't think I could popz. Pregnancy I could do, labour I could manage without the unfortunate end but those first three weeks nearly broke me and I am still unsettled. Went to work for the first time today and people are asking me how it is and I just can't bring myself to be that positive about it! Is that terrible?

Great sleep news min!

Minor success here, I have managed to get J to sleep in my arms and put him down in the basket during the day! He went a whole 8 minutes!

Netflix has just started Outnumbered automatically from episode one - the kids are soooooo young!
