Sadly our thread died a death after a really good antenatal one, even if we finish now lets hear how everyone is, any plans for anymore, I know some people are expecting already, remind us about your family...
Me first, I was hereshoping on the ttc after miscarriage but then became rosylizzie, an amalgam of my two dds names My baby roisin was born 19 Dec, joining 2 brothers now 9 and 8 and a sister of 5. I had an anxious pg as she had a soft marker so missed the antenatal thread some of the time.

She has been an utter joy, the relationship with her siblings the best part. Yes life is busy but great. We have also moved house this year.
She is crawling and cruising and trying to say her siblings names
She has copper hair and brown eyes like her sister
Not currently expecting though ones of our dogs is! but quite tempted by another though have spent all year trying to talk myself out of it
Come on everyone!! Lets hear from you all!!

Hello How is everyone?

Well thought I'd pop in and post seeing as I haven't for ummmm well ages

We have just got back from holiday and I have to say I had totally forgotten how much hard work it is with a little one. We had a nice time for the most part although the flight home was dreadful.

Lucas is really suffereing with his latest lot of teeth which started coming through on holiday. He's cutting 3 at the moment and then I think he's got 4 more until he's got the full set - how many do they get?

We have several words now - most are used to assert himself against his big sister (i.e. mine, no etc).

The lady next door is due any day now but I think I'm safe from feeling broody! Quite a few friends have had babies recently and I can't say I've felt any longing feelings to have any more.

I hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying their toddlers yes not little bundles any more are they .

Ninah - are you still checking this thread???? I'd love to hear how things are going with you! I hope you, L & A are having a fab time.

chocoholic · 20/06/2007 13:17

Hi all,
You are so right Sweetheart, not little bundles any more. Really liking this stage though. It is hard work but it is lovely when you can get an answer (even if you can't understand a word they say!

Jake is up and about finally and he loves being outdoors so is constantly filthy. Is it Linus on Charlie Brown who was always dirty and dragging a blankie behind him? That's Jake anyway.
Still only 4 teeth though!

I'm still a SAHM and although it drives me bonkers a lot of the time I still wouldn't swap it, especially not in the summer time.

Hope everyone else is doing OK.
x

scully · 22/06/2007 04:32

Know what you mean Choc, some days I'm bored and I start looking for a job, but other days I think of the hassle of getting 2 ready and out the door, plus myself, and I stop looking
dd2 has had a mouth full of teeth for ages now, but hers came through 2 at a time, so that was easier for us at least
Winter out here now, still around 20deg during the day but dropping to around 8 at night. Doesn't sound cold, but when the houses are open plan, no double glazing and tiled through out, it's chilly
Can't complain though, it will all be over by September
Well done SH for not feeling clucky, we're still considering number 3 Although some days I think I must be mad

chocoholic · 22/06/2007 11:19

Nope, no sympathy for you here Scully. 20 deg in the winter?

I have a weekend away from the little monkey as I'm doing some part-time work. Nothing major but gets me out of the house for the weekend. Hope DP copes OK as he has all 3 of his boys to look after!

scully · 22/06/2007 13:36

good luck for your dp, with 3 boys to look after don't think I'd be ringing home very often.....
no, don't expect much sympathy about the winter here, but have to mention it at least
have a lovely weekend everyone

scully · 24/06/2007 02:57

Some more news from this side of the world, baby no. 3 is on its way
edd is 26 Feb 2008
So early days yet, but we're very happy!

chocoholic · 25/06/2007 08:40

Scully what fab news
So pleased for you.
what a lovely way to start the week.

DP survived the weekend but I don't think he is in a rush for me to work too many more. I feel so relaxed having been out of the house for a couple of days.

scully · 16/07/2007 03:19

where is everyone???

chocoholicfrog · 18/07/2007 10:34

I'm here, I'm here.
How are you feeling Scully?
I guess everyone must be busy with their little angels! With them being 18 months old I'm guessing that Jake isn't the only one being a little monkey at the moment. He throws a big strop whenever I want to do something that isn't playing with him so it's a bit limiting.
I so need a laptop (or a nanny!)

Nemo2007 · 24/07/2007 23:51

hello all
thought would pop on and see how everyone is!!!
Well done Scully on no.3, quite funny to see oh we are thinking about no.3 then within a week its oh I am pg..pmsl

Hope everyone is doing well..the tremendous trio are keeping me on my toes. We are not decided if we have finished our family or not yet so we shall see.

scully · 25/07/2007 03:41

So how are you finding life with 3, Nemo? Not that mine will be as close together as yours, I'm actually quite glad that dd1 is in school now and dd2 will be starting nursery at some point between now and Xmas I think. Will be nice when the baby arrives to have a couple of days of week just the 2 of us, without dd2's 'help'
Yes, I know, how was that, typing away and I was already pregnant Only 2nd mth of vaguely trying so took us by surprise. I'm 9wks now and have almost gotten used to the idea

rosylizzie · 28/07/2007 22:21

Nemo2007 · 31/07/2007 21:58

congrates rosy hope everything is going ok!!

Scully its not too bad having 3 apart from when they start fighting. Fun now as C has just started to get a bit mobile so all 3 of them run circles around me..lol

chocoholicfrog · 04/08/2007 13:35

Congratulations RosyLizzie. Another DS, how lovely.
Are you going to share the name with us?

I'm still having rings run round me with 1. The terrible 2's have arrived with a thump and he is SO into everything (especially things he shouldn't be).
Driving me crazy!!!

chocoholicfrog · 16/08/2007 11:53

All quiet again here. Anyone else having a tricky time with their toddlers?
DS is insisting on working his way round the house doing everything he isn't supposed to. Driving me BARMY!!!!

scully · 19/08/2007 05:59

Had a crap week here actually. Should have been 12wks this week, but started bleeding on Wed and had a scan on Thurs where they found I had miscarried. We were getting ready to tell everyone this coming week, after my arranged scan on Monday, so still a bit of a shock to the system really. Especially when I have friends due in Sep, Oct, Nov, Feb and March. Not sure if we'll try again, too soon to think about it yet...

Nemo2007 · 19/08/2007 20:40

scully hugs to you sorry to hear that!

chocoholicfrog · 20/08/2007 07:52

Oh Scully. I'm so sorry. What sad news.
I hope that you are getting lots of cuddles from your lovely DDs and your DH.
There is no rush to decide what to do in the future, you just make sure that you are OK.
Sending you

x

scully · 20/09/2007 10:19

Hi ladies, where is everyone, are our little people keeping us this busy?

sweetheart · 20/09/2007 11:25

Hi all,

Well it's been ages since my last post so thought I'd pop in and see everyone.

Scully, I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. It is so cruel and such a horrible thing to go through. Hopefully you are feeling less delicate now, have hope for the future!

How is everyone else doing, Nemo, George, DQ, Ninah!

Ninah - are you still checking this thread - or even MN'ing. Would love to hear from you, it's been so long!

I can't quite believe that I am already on the countdown to L's 2nd birthday! With xmas being round the corner I am trying to be super-organised! I think we will have a small party for him this year with some family and neighbours.

The other scary thing is that I am visiting a play school for him this week. He starts in 1 year and where I live to reserve a place at a good school I need to start looking now! My SIL has a boy the same age and she had his name down before he was born

Anyway, life is all good - not so much babies keeping me away as work! Perhaps I'll win the lottery soon so I can become a lady of leisure!

Take care all. Please post some news xxxxx

dramaqueen72 · 20/09/2007 16:28

hey ladies, am the WORST for remembering to recheck this thread after posting LOL but am back and hoping to stay that way!
Scully i'm so very sorry, its a horrible horrible thing to go thro, hang in there sweetie, promise it gets better.
George! sounds like Jakey is keeping you busy, -its so fab to hear from you old beanie types
can I have a mega update plus any darn namechanges please?

dramaqueen72 · 08/10/2007 04:16

okay B U M P for my old pg buddies!

chocoholic · 08/10/2007 11:27

Hello, hello, is everybody being kept busy again?

Nice to see how some of you are doing. Time does seem to vanish though doesn't it!

Jake is babbling on at the moment. Sounds like rubbish but he can carry on a conversation for ages. Loves cars, cars and more cars. Keep finding them everywhere.

SH, I have an application form for Jakes pre-school too. I think they like to have numbers early (ish) so they can plan ahead.

sweetheart · 08/10/2007 22:05

Hey all,

Thought I'd check in and see how it's all going. Yep choc - seriously busy these days, working mum of two who also helps run a netball club! I'm really enjoying playing competative sport and would really recommend it to anyone who wants to get back in shape. I have made lots of friends and it's much more fun than my gym sessions!

L is starting to make sentances now which is so cute. This has got to be my absolutly favorite phase of childhood, they are so sweet and innocent (although one of L's favorite words is "MOVE" when I'm in his way!!!!!)

How are all the other toddlers doing? Any plans for b'day or xmas gifts? We are thinking of getting L a "running bike" which is basically a bike without peddles. It teaches them to balance so that they don't need staberlizers. In my experience with dd bikes have always been a big hit on the present front.

Still working hard I'd love to be at home with the kids but have got a big promotion since going back to work so I have to be a mother and career woman! Playing the lottery every week in the hope that all my dreams will be realised!

DQ - are you still the "earth mother" that I always envied? Painting and such!

Choc - weren't you doing a college course? How did that go?

Scully - still utterly of your fab life in the sunshine!!!!!!! I hope thats all working out well for you! How are things on the baby front. I know how hard it can be after loosing one - I hope your heart is mending!

Speak soon
