Sadly our thread died a death after a really good antenatal one, even if we finish now lets hear how everyone is, any plans for anymore, I know some people are expecting already, remind us about your family...
Me first, I was hereshoping on the ttc after miscarriage but then became rosylizzie, an amalgam of my two dds names My baby roisin was born 19 Dec, joining 2 brothers now 9 and 8 and a sister of 5. I had an anxious pg as she had a soft marker so missed the antenatal thread some of the time.

She has been an utter joy, the relationship with her siblings the best part. Yes life is busy but great. We have also moved house this year.
She is crawling and cruising and trying to say her siblings names
She has copper hair and brown eyes like her sister
Not currently expecting though ones of our dogs is! but quite tempted by another though have spent all year trying to talk myself out of it
Come on everyone!! Lets hear from you all!!

aww bless her scully, you may be surprised with the glasses though as a couple of friends have tots who wear them and have not had problems, suppose mainly due to even tots understanding that they are beneficial.
Hope she doesnt bump into too much in the mean time.

George..hellloooooo stranger often think about you and DQ as neither are around much anymore although I do know how hard it can be with kids, I am here as its my only escape and maintains my sanity..pmsl

GandWJ · 07/03/2007 09:06

Scully, surely it can't get worse?? He is already into everything and giggles at me when I say no. Why did he have to take after me!!
Your poor DD, it must be ever so hard to have to put the drops in her eyes.

Hi Nemo, how are you doing now? You are catching up with DQs family size at a rapid rate!!
I would be on here more but the trouble is Jake likes turning the computer off (oooh, lovely blue glowy button!! ). I've built a barricade in front of it but he never gives up. My house is becoming a fortress, is that normal???

sweetheart · 07/03/2007 14:13

It's great to see this thread picking up speed again! G&WJ great to hear from you, and yes I'm affraid it's all down hill from now on, especially as you have a boy. My lo is such a naughty little thing, always getting into mischief with a big cheesy grin on his face. I can't help but smile whilst he's emptying my kitchen cupboards and climbing onto things he shouldn't be!

Scully, my mil is having a mastectomy later this month and then probably chemo afterwards. We are all keeping a positive head on and hoping that it hasn't spread. I was so depressed after reading about your lovely day at the beech that I had to book a holiday for some sunshine. We're off to Gran Canaria in May which has given us something to really look forward to.

Ninah - wonder if your still checking on this thread. Haven't heard from you in ages - hope your ok. Have you moved yet?

DQ - how is your troop, it would be great to get an update.

Nemo - I asked dh the other day if we should have another one . I love the way my two interact and suddenly want to be a mummy with 100 children! I don't think we will as we're quite practical people and it's not right for us but I do feel awfully broody atm! I bet it's lovely in your house with 3 lo's.

Love to you all, take care
SH x

Hi all,
good to see lots on here again!
All go here as usual. Had this week off work BUT am knackered cos have gutted lounge of furniture and spent 6k on a new kitchen, flooring and furniture plus new BIG TV. So as you can imagine we are living in a bomb site till everythings fitted at end of April!!
Alex is just a dolly! Learning more and more each day! Enjoys pointing to everything when told! knows shoes, eyes, ears, nose, hair and belly!! Constantly wanting to read and look at books and is now fluent in the hand movements for twinkle twinkle!!!
Am now officially 3 weeks late for period but still getting neg on tests so god knows whats happening with my body! Have been sick 3 mornings in a row too so really am confused with all the pregancy stuff right now!!!

flutterbee · 09/03/2007 12:09

Hi everyone,

So good to start hearing from you all again.

George is growing up so quickly 16 months on Sunday.

It has taken a while but DH and I finally feel settled. We have been in our new home now for 10 months and have it pretty much how we want it, DH's new job is going really well and I am at college 2 days a week doing an access to teacher training course and have also very recently started an evening job Mon - Fri. WOW life is busy round here.

We have decided that as much as we would love to have more kids now we have to be sensible and will not be trying for anymore for about 4-5 years depending on when I qualify.

I don't know about everyone else but I am really looking forward to this summer, the lo's are big enough to take to the park and the beach and just let them run riot and George will be able to make use of the garden which last year wasn't fit for any use.

Love to you all xx

rosylizzie · 09/03/2007 20:44

Hello there
my lo is turning into a toddler fast! refusung to let go and walk but nearly there but getting pretty wilful
we have had a house move and the 3 older ones have changed school recently, had a lot of workmen in and am working more to pay for it all so things quite hectic around here!
also let our sringer spaniel have a litter of pups in dec, thankfully all sold at 7 weeks.
plus i'm 20 weeks pg with no5 - why do i do these things to myself? no more though!

OP posts:
scully · 10/03/2007 00:39

Wow rosy no. 5 well done! How old are your eldest 3?
If dh and I ever get around to doing anything about it, no. 3 may be a consideration this year
dh has a 6mth probation for his permanent job he's just started, and towards the end of that we will start looking for a house to buy. Not in any rush though, just enjoying being back here and having our weekends to ourselves again, after spending the last 2yrs in the UK renovation our house there. Not in a hurry to go back to that again
Just got back from taking dd's swimming, so nice not to have to get changed from our swimmers because it's cold outside Supposed to be 35deg tomorrow, will have to find a pool to go sit in

sweetheart · 12/03/2007 15:57

scully - we have sunshine, we have sunshine

It was a very warm 15 degrees yesterday - summer is finally on the way hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND - we booked a holiday to Gran Canaria the other day so I'm off to buy some sunglasses and flip flops

scully · 14/03/2007 02:24

enjoy your summer shopping sweetheart
omg it was 38deg on Sunday and 35 on Monday, too hot really, my limit is about 30deg......yesterday and today a bit cooler though, around 28deg
I think dd1 misses not wearing the layers of clothes she was used to in the UK, always wants to wear more than is necessary and we always find her under the duvet, even when it's hot in the evening.
Having vague thoughts of applying for a couple of jobs I've seen that look ok, not sure if want to interrupt my relaxed life with work though

GandWJ · 14/03/2007 08:23

RosyLizzie - 5!!! You must be a super woman!
I'm in a heap at the end of the day with 1

Oooh, lovely warm weather. Scully, can I come and stay please? I've been making the most of our UK sunny spell and pottering round the garden. It's lovely now that Jakey is old enough to roam about too although he isn't keen on grass . Thinking of getting a little tykes cube or playhouse for him. Has anyone got one already that they can recommend?

Did you buy anything nice Sweetheart?

Oops, Jakey is getting mardy being abandoned in the other room. He is probably drowning in goo as he has a cold - poor mite.

Lovely to see everyone dropping in here.
x

GandWJ · 25/03/2007 12:11

Oh dear, a bit of a flurry and everyone has gone again!
Up to our eyeballs in goo and snot again here as myself and DS have colds - urgh. (That is a new one since my last post)

Where is everyone????

scully · 25/03/2007 12:17

No colds here, it's supposedly Autumn but still around 30deg every day
We went to Underwater World today at Mooloolaba, dd1 loved it and even dd2 was very interested in all the fish and colours especially the display where you're in a tunnel and everything is swimming above and next to you

GandWJ · 25/03/2007 14:03

What a great name - Mooloolaba! I'm quite tempted to have a name change to that one, what do you reckon?
I bet that is quite a weird one for a 15month old to understand when suddenly there are fish going overhead. She will be having some strange dreams tonight Scully!

My best friend landed in the UK from Oz yesterday. Her DD's christening is over here and I'm going to be a proud godmother. I'm very excited.

sweetheart · 25/03/2007 20:13

Oh Geaorge, hugs to you and your little one! We have a cold here too at the moment which is down to teething. He has cut his last 12 teeth with no trouble but these next two are really causing him pain. Red cheeks, a cold, off his food - the lot. Poor little mite!

My birthday was absolutly fab! I was a very spoilt girl and my summer wardrobe is shaping up nicely!

Scully - I know I keep going on.... and on!

Every time you post I get so jelous! I'm such a summer person, I hate being cold and the wether being wet and windy. Your lifestyle just sounds like bliss!!!! Although I'd miss my family and friends too much to make the move I think.

How is everyone else doing?

scully · 26/03/2007 02:44

Don't know about dreams but dd2 did sleep through for 12hrs so that was worth the trip alone
George, the name Mooloolaba is thought to have come from either the Aboriginal word mulu, for snapper fish, or from mullu meaning red bellied snake
I've attached a link just so you can all have a look at where we were, I'm awful I know
here
Hope all the colds are on the mend now, have a good week everyone

Jaysecond · 06/04/2007 21:13

scully, when i holidayed in OZ i did the sunshine coast, stayed at Noosa and a few other spots along the way, its truly beautiful you lucky thing being out there!

Hi all , havnt been here for ages, and even worse, i havnt read the thread, but will do sfterwards. Just wanted to let you know i had baby number two on March 18th, Mothers day. W have called him Jensen ( after the car, Jensen Intercepter, not JensOn Button!)and he weighed in a very healthy, 11lbs 2ozs. I got my natural, pool birth this time round (with number one i was induced and in labour for 50 plus hours) this time i had gas and air, and in active labour for just 2 hrs 45 mins!
Lots of pics here if anyone is intrested!

Of to have a read and a nosey, hope everyones ok, cant believe our babies are 14/15 mths old now!!!! - quick question, whos LO's are talking? Harriettes making the right kinda noises but isnt actually saying much, other than Dad, mum-mum and smokey (the cat)

bonkerz · 06/04/2007 21:23

you have a beautiful family Jays. Love Harriettes lovely hair! Alex-leighs is still quite thin and we can only just get a clip in!!
Talking wise Alex-Leigh is more into her grunting to be honest but does say Mummy, daddy, baby, juice, ben, cat, t-shirt, up, down, kiss. Thats about it for clear definate words, the rest tend to be winges and whines which we understand because they are accompanied by hand gestures!!!

Nemo2007 · 09/04/2007 20:30

Jays huge congrates on the birth of Jensen. How is it all going??? I am loving having 3 and we are already talking about the 4th but will wait until at least this time next year.

Jaysecond · 09/04/2007 21:11

hey Nemo! Might have to cat you to discuss the trials and tribulations of having two bubbas so close, i am finding it really hard work, and Jensen, whilst i love him to bits , is not the easiest baby, hes kinda driving me insane TBH!

Jaysecond · 09/04/2007 21:12

Hiya Bonkerz, hows it going with you and yr family? Still working hard? Whens your next one coming????!!!!

Nemo2007 · 09/04/2007 21:18

Aww jays whats up??? More than welcome to CAt me or email on [email protected]

scully · 11/04/2007 13:49

Shame Jay, hope Jensen settles for you soon. I just read some of your posts on the March 2007 thread and infacol does take a while to work, if it all. Has it helped? Would you consider bottle feeding to give yourself a break? Must be tough with the children being close in age. A 3.8yr age gap was enough for me
Nemo, 4, wow, you must really be enjoying being a mum of 3

Nemo2007 · 21/04/2007 15:49

Jays hope you are doing better and J is more settled.

How is everyone else????
H is a little tinker but such a delight at same time I cant complain. She has now learnt to open her bedroom door, so where she used to shout for us to get her out of her bed[even though she can get in and out herself] we are no longer required as she just wanders in when she can hear A playing..lol She doesnt even want to see us first as she usually goes to give C a kiss. She has all of a sudden got a lot of words aswell which is very sweet and endearing.

GandWJ · 29/04/2007 20:44

Congratulations Jays. Hope it all settles down for you soon. I seem to remember those first few weeks as being a bit of a sleep deprived haze. It definitely improved though at some point.

How is everyone doing? jake has finally done a few steps but still not rushing to get on his feet. Very noisy though although mainly shouting jibberish just so we don't forget he is there.

I am now full of awe for anyone who is a SAHM, (including myself). What a challenge that is. I would never have thought it looking back, now I dream of time spent alone in the car. Still wouldn't swap it though.

x

scully · 19/05/2007 11:12

How's everyone doing???
dd2 is slowly improving with her glasses, it's a struggle for all of us, to say the least
but I can see her eye is straighter when she is wearing them and not straining so that is an improvement
How is everyone else going? Anyone else thinking about number 2/3/4 etc?
