Haven't got time to check the meet thread yet - I have DH shouting in my ear to get off and watch I'm a Celeb - can you link it so I can find it quickly next time i'm on? I know I'm a lazy cow

flamesparrow · 15/11/2006 21:14

Misread that as nicknamed Jelley's mouse... was all baffled

Had a couple of glasses of wine and very happy. No test today - hopefully tomorrow.

TicTac · 15/11/2006 21:57

PhoenixGirl · 15/11/2006 22:09

TicTac · 15/11/2006 22:17

Logging off to give Spooks my full attention now

Jelley · 16/11/2006 08:02

Hello, Mrs D. LOvely rosy cheeked boy.

Flame - tie dye wins over soft nappy cudles, as I know it wouldn't last...getting that excited new nappy feeling.
Good news on your grandad.

I have good news, too

No baby

No eternity ring

but

my mum and dad are buying us a new cooker for Christmas !!!!!!!

If you saw the one I've got you would understand why this is so exciting

ellenrose · 16/11/2006 08:13

NAO - gorgeous eyes, love the piccies.
Mrs D, MRM, CSWS - Fab photos - ah, how they have all grown.
Tictac - need to view Peyia from home so will look later.
MRM - love the tattoo - you are so brave - child birth I can do but I think I would pass out despite always wanting one on my ankle, not a good look in a tattoo parlour
Flame Bumped baby, hope he is OK today and yeay for Grandad coming home. What a weight off your mind that he is at least well enough to come home. Fantastic news. Anything in the post this morning?
Good morning everyone

mustrunmore · 16/11/2006 08:37

Nothing to do with bravery.Just a deep desire to have it done!

flame, you get alot of post! I love the postman coming, even if its only crap. Hard to hide parcels from ds1 though, and i've got most of his birthday and xmas things offf here and ebay!

PhoenixGirl · 16/11/2006 08:50

Lewis has def got his appetite back now but still got dodgy nappies. We went to white rose shopping centre in Leeds yesterday and when i got him out of his pushchair to put him in car his nappy had leaked all up his front so he needed a complete clean outfit which luckily i had got with me.

I've nearly done all my christmas shopping now and despite saying Lewis wasn't having toys we've now got him hug and learn baby tad (leapfrog), a v-tech mobile phone, a ride on tigger aeroplane, a few bath toys and magic rattle tigger.

I'm back at work today after my week's leave and 3 days sick.

flame - hope the test is in the post for u so u know one way or the other.

jelley - great news about the new cooker.

PhoenixGirl · 16/11/2006 08:52

btw love your tattoo mrm

TicTac · 16/11/2006 09:31

Anyone thought about how and when to potty train?

Jelley · 16/11/2006 09:33

Yes, in about 2 more years time .
Seriously.
Don't even think about it now...

flamesparrow · 16/11/2006 09:40

Yay for the cooker!

Waiting for post now.... Post is exciting isn't it MRM

Potty training?????????????????? Wait for about 2 years until they announce no more nappies, and just stick em bare bummed for a few days, then in pants. I think pull ups were one of the things that made it hard for DD so am avoiding them this time.

Oh, and if they have a poo phobia - give em a sibling

(What? Is that not a well known potty training method??)

dewmeadow · 16/11/2006 09:41

mrm - actually I DO love going for a big big walk in wintry weather, and then coming back to a roaring fire and a big feed!

Flame - great news about your grandad. Let us know if you get your test today.

Jel - what sort of cooker is it? Excited for you. YOu must plan all sorts of lovely things to cook on it now.

Im feeling VERY queasy today...[bokey emoticon] d'ye remember we had that conversation about all our different words for boke?! [boke]

Friz - can you not do aerobic type exercise up until 5 or 6 months or so? Cos Im playing in a badminton match tonight and still planning to go to netball.

Off to shower and then Toddlers!!

dewmeadow · 16/11/2006 09:44

just come through one potty training dark tunnel (though was actually alright in the end) and am not thinking about it for a LONG time. Im hoping that he will want to copy Katherine and be a big boy and use the toilet. Also he'll probably copy his daddy who also like to pee in teh great outdoors. (we do live very remotely!)

flamesparrow · 16/11/2006 10:15

Doing the very happy dance of a non-pregnant woman

Panicked a little when (very cheap dipstick style test) a very dark line appeared... they don't ocme with instructions, so I was frantically checking that they did still need TWO lines

mustrunmore · 16/11/2006 10:25

flame

Jelley · 16/11/2006 10:30

Congratulations Flame. Was just coming to ask if you'd got the test yet.

I get to choose the cooker, and arrange it all. Mum pays. Don't know what I'm getting yet. Going to try and clean up today then do some research, and try and order for pre Chrismas delivery....
Baby didn't sleep last night, so I am walking dead today. He's asleep now.

Jelley · 16/11/2006 10:32

dew I'm getting virtual Aunty feelings. I'm sure if you do regular exercise anyway, you can carry on when pregnant. Hope the sickness passes soon.

CantSleepWontSleep · 16/11/2006 14:42

yay flame
yay Jas

About time we had good news on here instead of all the we've had recently!

TicTac - potty training - give me a break! No way I'm even thinking about it until DD can say 'I need the toilet mummy'!

dm - yes you can still exercise as long as it's stuff your body was used to before you got pregnant.

DD still unsettled here, though marginally better than yesterday. Put her to bed at 8:40, thinking that would make up for her 40 min nap at 6:20, but she still decided it was time to get up again at 5:10 this morning. Thankfully she took a 2 hour nap at 7:45, which allowed me an extra hour's sleep, plus chance to clean up from breakfast and grab a shower.

Is it illness causing boy not to sleep Jas, or the change in feed regime, or just one of life's mysteries?! Hoping you've managed to get a daytime nap yourself.

OP posts:
Jelley · 16/11/2006 17:25

Illness I think. He's got a runny nose, and isn't himself. He's not a cuddly baby but has spent most of today asleep in my arms.
