Flamesparrow · 29/11/2006 16:58

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooh I think of you as being one person, and was thinking another unconnected person! Now even more (and some dopey )

pmsl @ wanting santa to forward emails!!!

MrCSWS · 29/11/2006 17:05

I pmsl too. Tried to give you a hint with the

Glad all is good and very happy (still)

Flamesparrow · 29/11/2006 17:06

I'm really not too bright!

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/11/2006 17:16

You said it flame . Tee hee though - knew it would throw you off track for a bit.

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 29/11/2006 17:19

Spent ages sat trying to work out who would want to donate to me, that would go to you iyswim

MrCSWS · 29/11/2006 17:35

BTW Flame

I am a separate person, i even get to choose what i wear when we go out (but sometimes i have to change when it is not acceptable )

Flamesparrow · 29/11/2006 17:37

NO!!!! Boy can't be trusted to choose what he wears... sometimes he thinks he does, but he tends to just grab whatever is hanging on front of the wardrobe waiting to be put away - he doesn't seem to have noticed that certain things are positioned there when we are going out

Frizbe · 30/11/2006 07:56

at the CSWS's
Flame glad your enjoying the washer
MRM at purple boy
Hotmama et all but I'm not testing yet, I have a very big bucket of sand and my head is firmly in it..... I shall test tomorrow, if nothing turns up......but we've been using contraception so?????? typical eh as have 1st girls night out since July..........want to be doing Flames happy period dance, I doooooooo.....

Flamesparrow · 30/11/2006 09:35

@ all your s Frizbe.

Head in the sand method is great isn't it? The happy dance of non-babyness is soooo good though. I have a coil but you still all wanted me to test

DS was in with us all night - DH brought him in to me to feed at about 12.30, and I just attached and passed out I was soooooooooooooo tired last night!

Washin going round and round and round (a bit like the joggers....)

DD's 3.6 year check today. I'm assuming it'll all be ok - her speech is behind, but not as far behind as some iyswim.

How's everyone doin?

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/11/2006 10:06

Not sure how we're doing here. DD took 40 mins to settle last night, then slept 8:45 until about 2, and then spent the next 4 hours dozing then chatting then dozing then chatting for about 10 mins at a time. I gave her a feed part way through, thought she was a bit hot, went back in an hour later and she was boiling. Took temp - 39.2 . Gave calpol and more milk, took temp again half hour later, down to 37.7 (she's normally 36.5 ish). Apart from not sleeping and being hot she seemed her normal self. Got up and played a little and had breakfast, and went back to sleep at 9. I am knackered!!

Anyone have any ideas what could cause this? Supposed to be going to a 1st b'day party at 12 (it's only a couple of mins away) - should we just carry on as normal and go, or should high temps always be checked out by doc?

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 30/11/2006 10:16

If calpol is bringing it down, then just keep her dosed up. If she goes listless and/or floppy, then take her to the doctors, but if she is poddling along fine (just a bit more whingey than normal), it is probably just a virus and she'll be fine to go about as normal.

You might wanna check with the party mum though incase they would rather temp baby didn't come

Chloe55stakesinavampiresheart · 30/11/2006 11:41

Morning ladies,

As flame said, if the calpol is keeping her temp down i would just keep an eye on her - i think i have done a few too many trips with ds to the doc maybe unnecessarily so, it's hard though to just sit back and take it in your stride.

I started with another migraine yesterday - they seem to be getting a bit more frequent and they tend to knock me out for days. The first day I feel like absolute shit and then the second and third day I just feel absolutely drained. DH sent me to bed at 7pm last night! I slept until 8am Ds has fallen asleep on the sofa - he never does that, I'm hoping nursery is making him a bit more adaptable to wear he will sleep instead of just his cot.

Meant to be at baby group but I am banished from driving when I have a migraine - I have driven the wrong way down a dual carriage way without my lights on in the pitch black in the past! So I just daren't ever risk it now.

Flame - at your new washing machine! Some people have a heart of gold.

mustrunmore · 30/11/2006 14:14

Chloe. Obviously I'm completely useless and unable to say anything to help though...

Well, last night we decided to swop sides in bed, to see if me just being further away from ds2 would produce another great night re sleep! It wasnt bad, woke 3 something for milk though rather than 5 like the previous night. But I had a terrible night!!! Dh turned the mattress a while ago, and had been moaning ever since about my side (ie now on his side) being knackered. And after having had a while on 'his' side ie now my side, I'd agree that the other side really is shit!

almost fell asleep just now with ds1 playing around me (ds2 asleep in the buggy luckily!)

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/11/2006 15:23

Thanks ladies. We went to the party and everyone was happy for us to stay. DD wasn't her normal cheerful self, but I think she was hungry as much as anything, as all of the food had dairy in it bar a strip of raw pepper and a mini picnic egg (which I'm just hoping didn't, as she ate some!). I know I was certainly hungry! Friend did know about the intolerance, but overlooked it when planning the food. DD is now the proud owner of an orange helium filled balloon though, which is great fun! She seemed to be tired when we left, but is still up playing, so think it was just the heat/noise/hunger getting to her. Checked her temp again and it is still down - 36.something, and she's not had any calpol since 5:30am.

Really hoping she wants a long nap soon - I can hardly keep my eyes open!

for migraine Chloe, and for dangerous driving incident!

mustrunmore · 30/11/2006 15:29

Give her some calpol then and go to bed yourself

Just had a call from dh asking if I'd cashed the £400 cheque he wrote out (the one he had a fit about as i spent twice was he was expecting last month).Told him it was paid in but not cleared, and got 'oh shit' in response. The account is so low already he thought it must have left there already So we have £200 till 22nd Dec. Luckily only one diret debit left to go out of £40 or so, but 4 diff lots of pepole coming over before xmas which we have to do meals for! This should be interesting as a budgeting exercise!

Flamesparrow · 30/11/2006 15:53

feed em all stew

I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed sleep too CSWS.

Bum - just realised I'm feeding DS with no breastpad in I'm all soggy!!!!!!!!!!!

mustrunmore · 30/11/2006 18:24

The only stew ds1 would eat would be composed of only sausages, cheese, toast , and chocolate And dh would moan because I never put meat in stews so that I can eat it too

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 30/11/2006 20:08

Just signing in here with my xmas name, all ready for tomorrow.
ds1 has just gone to bed in a strop because I let him see his advent calendar and put it up, but then he wanted to open all the windows

Frizbe · 30/11/2006 21:44

at my 's doing the happy dance of none pregnancy here, as gave in and tested as didn't want to get drunk tomorrow night without knowing and dh has pested me since he got in from work! not a clue where period is tho???

MRM we've not long had a new matress after the same problem! hope you get a windfall to sort it for you soon. I'd recommend lots of soup for your guests with hunky bread (cheap to make) and if you can stretch to it a roast chicken to pick at as well! Not a normal 'meal' by any stretch, but sometimes unusual is better

Chloe at the dual carriageway, did you get stopped by police??
If you know anyone going stateside they do some fab Migrane tablets, that for some reason, you can't get over here, my friend imported some and her doc has tried to copy the mix ever since for her!

CSWS hope dd is feeling lots better now and you've had lots of sleep?

Frizbe · 30/11/2006 22:00

Where are you all tonight then???

Hope you've all got your pirate advent calendars at the ready

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/11/2006 22:03

No advent calendar here. Got 20 mins kip this afternoon but that's all, so off to bed in a min. DD hot and red cheeked after afternoon nap, but ok after nurofen at tea time. >>>

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 01/12/2006 07:47

We've got 2 advent calendars off my Mum; one for me , one for the boys

One set of guests will be easy to feed as all they eat is salad and boiled veg
And hoping when my Dad comes he might take us out for a meal

FLAMEinEckItsYuleAgain · 01/12/2006 08:39

testin - replies later

dewmeadow · 01/12/2006 09:51

hows everyone doing?!!

at your happy dance Friz

Didnt realise the deadline for yuletide names was today - flippin heck - bettter get my thinking cap on.

DD has been to playgroup twice and has got on great guns. SHe's quiet but just potters away doing her own thing. Im very proud!! SHes recently started having a few accidents (in her pants) and shes thirsty a lot - do you think she could have a urine infection?

DS has had a few nights of sleeping in his own cot until about 4ish (which has been unheard of for 3 months) which gave me hope, and even settled himself quite a few times. LAst night though he was back to teething and I just brought him to bed with us - less stressful in the long run.

Im sick, exhausted (so much Im worried its twins!!), fat, hungry, fat, hungry, like a banshee, fat.

ellenrose · 01/12/2006 11:20

too many messages but hooray for washing machine Flame
Hope more sleep is on the cards for those who need it tonight.
I need a festive name . . .
