flamesparrow · 21/11/2006 12:51

Oooh yes, santa definately!

hotmama · 21/11/2006 12:52

Just a quickie - anyone still on maternity leave? I just can't bring myself to do the e-mail to work about going back in Jan.

I was fine when I went back after dd1 - but then again I was 3 months pg with dd2!

I'm finding it really difficult to think about 'leaving' dd2.

I love my job that is why I'm going back, and as I have loads of holiday to use up will be working pt until Easter.

Am I just being a normal irrational mother?

3k · 21/11/2006 13:58

Whoops sorry MRM I meant to fire those pregnancy questions to Dewmeadow

Yes sorry girls, I have had a sleeping baby since 10 weeks all the way through apart from the odd night. We managed 7pm to 6.50am this morning then a quick feed and back down to 9am. He is very good at sleeping, perhaps it was all the sleeping I did when I was pregnant that got him in the routine He has actually just gone down for a nap now probably until about 3pm.

Having a lazy day, book-keeping all up to date, no cleaning until Thurs so just chilling out. May wrap christmas presents and start on my Christmas cakes this afternoon

3k · 21/11/2006 13:59

I like the Santa one too CSWS!!

3KingsatChristmas · 21/11/2006 14:03

I'm probably going to have this as my Christmas name

flamesparrow · 21/11/2006 14:14

I dunno about my festive name... was Flamerobin last year but I'd like something better this year. Gotta have flame in it.

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/11/2006 14:18

How about FlameineckItsChristmasAgain

CranberryJelley · 21/11/2006 14:23

I had to read that a few times to get the emphasis right for it to make sense.

This will be me I think...

flamesparrow · 21/11/2006 14:24

I like!!!! Might change to Yule but I like

FLAMEinEckItsYuleAgain · 21/11/2006 14:30

This?

mustrunmore · 21/11/2006 15:05

I like that
And csws santa one

The bloody dentist has told ds1 that santa will take his dummies away and swop for pressies. Ok, except I wanted to let him settle into nursery in January before such a big change

Flamesparrow · 21/11/2006 15:33

Tell him that santa has handed that job over to the fairies who will do it between xmas and easter

Frizbe · 21/11/2006 16:11

Great idea Flame
Lol at this thread today, MRM that was quick only joking! Snippety snip eh, (sniggers in conspirital fashion)
CSWS like the Xmas name with Santa best, Jelley yours is great too, someone better help me with mine I think, I went with being a reindeer last year, think I may have to do that too unless someone can come up with something better??
3K yeah for sleeping baby
Mine did not although she is napping in a disturbed manner at the mo me thinks we may be having another bad night, she has rather a lot of spots and calpol didn't do the trick yesterday, in fact I gave in and slept half the night on the old cot matress on the floor next to her cot, soothing at appropriate times....so at least dh got more sleep than I, and went to work reasonably soundly, and then the damn postie woke us all up ringing the doorbell (all be it for a parcel that I needed!) at 7.30am, which is nearly the latest lie in I've had in forever!

Flamesparrow · 21/11/2006 16:15

Washing machine update! DH home early, we took out the filter and have tried spinning it without the filter (with towels to catch the water ), and it spun!!! Going to declog the filter again, and try a full cycle with it in to see what happens.

No idea for frizbe names... will think.

Love cranberryjelley

Frizbe · 21/11/2006 16:25

oooh that's grat Flame, sorry had forgot about the washer by time I'd read whole thread

mustrunmore · 21/11/2006 19:13

Both in bed, took 5 mins for them both to be asleep, and I didnt even have to read bloody Andy Pandy or Spud the Dragon

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/11/2006 21:09

Great news re washer flame - is it running ok now?

Obviously I think that's a great Christmas name Jas .

No reading mrm . What is the world coming to.

DD was so cute at dinner tonight. Now that she can sort of feed herself with a spoon, I thought I'd try her with a soya yoghurt. I use 2 spoons so that I can load one up and hand it to her, and she drops the other one which I then pick up and refill. Well she chucked one of the spoons out of reach, and I couldn't be bothered to get up and get it, so I started taking her spoon back off her to refill. Once she realised I needed it she started to tease me. She'd hold her hand towards me with the spoon in, and when I went to grab it she'd snatch it back and laugh..lots! She amused herself so much that she even clapped for the first time ever at herself!!

Lots of walking with her walker now too, so it seems to be a week of big development!

Flamesparrow · 21/11/2006 21:27

Bah. Dead again

mustrunmore · 21/11/2006 21:43

Oh dear. Not alot to suggest then really, except wear dark coloured clothes as they'll last you longer! And hang on for the sales if you need a new machine.

csws; you'll be laughing differently when dd decides she loves the most monotonous stories ever written . For example:
Teddy usually pretends to be the postman.
One day he decideds to be a door to door wallpaper salesman.
Andy decides they should paint some wallpaper for the playhouse.
They do.
They paste it up but Teddy accidentally covers the door.
Teddy panics, but Andy just cuts it open.
They go and get biscuits.
The end.

Flamesparrow · 21/11/2006 21:47

Get em into Charlie and Lola from day one

Flamesparrow · 21/11/2006 21:48

I wonder if my dad has still got a machine lurking in his shed....

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/11/2006 21:54

Actually am lol at that mrm.

Not laughing about machine though flame. Maybe you could mail Soapy and put it on your Christmas wish list .

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 21/11/2006 22:39

Read that as 'lurking in his head' and got very confused Its time for sleep!!

mustrunmore · 21/11/2006 22:40

Oh, and csws, i did omit the sub plot, which is that the kitten is stuck in there with them ,and its really the kitten that wants the biscuits. Who needs TV?

Flamesparrow · 22/11/2006 07:29

That makes it a whole different story!!!

Little man decided he needed to be in my bed and whinge all night.
