Hello Everyone!
Welcome MumtoaPiglet - my dd's birthday is the 18th. Always nice to see new faces and compare notes!
eeny - my dd isn't really high maintenance, but she won't nap in her moses basket (not got the cot down from the loft yet - no room actually )
She usually wakes around 7am, she falls asleep in her pushchair (travel system) on the walk back from school at 9am, and I unclick her carseat and bring her indoors. She'll usually sleep to 11am, then be awake until 1pm, when I'll usually put her in her sling, where she sleeps before waking at around 2:30pm. I pick up ds from school at 3:20pm, but he usually plays there until 4:00 while I chat to the other mums who are picking up their older children who finish later, giving dd the opportunity to fall asleep in her pushchair. For her evening cat-nap, she's in the sling again.
At the moment, this works fine as she's a tiny tiddler and easy to keep in the sling, so I don't tend to put her down, but sometimes, I can ease her off onto the sofa (still asleep in the sling) if I need to.
I only found ds easy to put down for a nap in his cot once he got to around 6 months. I know this is no help, but I just thought I'd share so you wouldn't feel yours was the only LO who wasn't keen on the cot during the day.
Booby - wow, that's an early tooth! (and all you others with teething LO's) And don't worry about being 25 - when I got to 30 I decided to stay there (it can be done for a good number of years), so I celebrate my 30th every year! And congratulations on your job - what is it you do?
Stumpy - I really sympathise with you about having a couple of sick kids at home - it's just so draining.
I hope this works - it's my little angel at 12 weeks.
